Set in the picturesque village of Fyfield, The White Hart is the ultimate country pub and offers one of the finest foodie dining experiences in the county. Housed in a stunning 15th century chantry, customers can choose to eat under the soaring eaves of the great hall, up high in the minstrel's gallery, in the cosy bar by the fire or on the beautiful patio terrace.
With a passion for provenance, the kitchen sources food from the very best local suppliers and grow much of their own fruit and vegetables. Mark even fishes for his own crayfish and trout from the local reservoir! Cooking is modern British and menus change daily depending on what is fresh and seasonal - with the signature slow roasted pork belly, with foot long crackling, being a favourite.

We enjoyed the Wednesday dinning club! But it was also our wedding anniversary and my wife’s birthday! Staff were lovely and friendly with amazing food!

A perfect lunch in a beautiful garden on a lovely day in June. Our first time here and though recommended by our daughter and son in law, we found the experience exceeded our expectations. An earlier booking had been the subject of a slip by me, but a phone call resulted in a friendly and understanding change to our date. The welcome at the venue was warm and welcoming, helpful and kept us fully informed on menu details, while the service was discreet but well-timed. But the food was amazing - mains of tempura courgette flowers from the garden, a starter for me of salt and pepper squid in crumbs, neither overdone nor too substantial, and my wife's heritage tomato salad tasty and well balanced. Excellent tasty espressos to end. You could scarcely have done better and we would unhesitatingly recommend your restaurant to anyone who enjoys and appreciates good food.

There's a reason the White Hart is on the Estrella One to Watch list. This is a destination venue - we're only sorry we don't live closer so we could return more frequently
