The White Hart is clearly very well managed. The chef/cooks know their business with the delicious food offered from the well balanced menu being beautifully served. Excellent service from lovely staff cannot be faulted. Highly recommend.

Been several times and once again had an excellent evening, sat outside and were lucky with the weather. I ordered the torched mackerel as had seen it on Instagram but despite it being very tasty the dish presented looked nothing like the post, I think the dish should represent the same as there posts .

Terrific food, it's always a pleasure to go to the White Hart. The only reason I didn't say outstanding for service was because we waited a bit too long for our drinks order to be taken - I had asked for a few minutes to decide but then no one came back for quite a while! The drinks were great though - delicious Cava and a rhubarb Aperol Spritz.

We sat outside in a marquee, which was made of plastic & was a little tacky. The ground had not been swept & it felt scruffy. Our starter was lovely - a sharing Meze board. One main course - the chicken was very good but far too much money at £27, the other main course - the beetroot & Goats cheese tart was bland & some things were far too vinigary. The pudding - treacle toffee could have been hotter. We had heard good things about this place but feel it is over-rated and too expensive. Sorry but true

First time visiting . We sat outside which was covered and provided shelter from the wind and falling leaves. Lovely, delicious food and friendly professional service and all the staff were welcoming , friendly , knowledgeable, approachable. We went for the sourdough woodfire pizza and it was delicious and cooked with perfection. We will be back. We will be back soon. Brilliant all round.

Really enjoyed our meal yesterday. The only down side was the alcohol free wine. Probably expected too much but wouldn't have it again. That said the food was great. Loved the tart for dessert.

What an excellent experience! We we’re staying in Fyfield for a few days so this pub was on our doorstep. It was one of the reasons we chose our accommodation due to its proximity to the pub…having read the reviews. It definitely lived up to our expectations. Had a wonderful 3 course meal. My partner and I chose different options and we were both more than happy with our choices. The service was also great, my only reservation was we felt a little rushed at times hence the slight mark down. It didn’t spoil the evening though and would highly recommend The White Hart.

I brought my son here for a meal before he goes to Thailand for a month. We sat outside in the covered area, it was warm enough all evening without the heater on and the ambience was lovely. The service was great even though they were very busy. The food was fantastic. Highly recommended.

We wrote our feedback from our last visit and mentioned that although we had good food and service and your pub is lovely our experience was somewhat spoiled by the loud slamming noise made by the door into the bar area. We asked if it would be possible to put a device on it that stops the door from banging. No notice was taken of our request. Sad as we really enjoyed sitting by the fire and having lunch except for that. When you get it fixed let us know and we will come back - until then we will look for a quieter pub

Stopped for lunch on a Wednesday and ordered from the Set Lunch menu, two courses for £20. White onion soup with wild garlic and hazelnut oil. BRILLIANT. Main was Pork Belly. Totally OUTSTANDING !! A real chef at the top of their game serving fantastic food… all for just £20. Amazing.

Stopped here on journey between Bath and Cambridgeshire. It was very busy but despite that service was friendly, speedy and efficient. The food was one of the best Sunday lunches we have had. Landlord beer was excellent. It's a shame this place is over fifty miles from home.

We have frequented WH 2-3 times annually and went for Sat lunch recently. e have returned principally as the result of the menu/food. But this time we were seriously disappointed in the food/menu. Has WH changed its chef? The 4 of us took different dishes and could compare. But the dishes were uninspired, the variety and choices tired, freshness lacking and taste buds disappointed. I chose the Antipasto starter and it was very disappointing - the meats did not even seem fresh. All prior occasions were of a much higher standard. That's why we wondered whether the WH is under different management or has changed its chef. Before we return we'll need to find some reassurance that tis was not just a one off. Sorry but we are trying to be helpful in telling you the truth in our review.
