The White Hart at Moorwood Moor
renovation. Reclaimed brick and stone walls with solid oak beams mean the original character of the building has stayed intact but expect
plenty of 21st century touches. Bedrooms feature stylish fabrics with on-trend wallpapers, crisp white bed linens and chic scatter cushions.
Downstairs the welcoming wood-panelled bar serves real ales, cocktails and everything in between while the restaurant dishes up homemade meals using locally sourced ingredients.
Very enjoyable experience. Food and service good and tables are set sufficiently far from each other that other people's conversations do not intrude. Good ambience.
The noise in the bar was loud but when we sat down it was ok. Service was faultless. Really impressed. Would definitely re-visit.
We called for a late lunch on Sunday and the team looked after us very well. Food was very good and arrived quickly and the service was very friendly.
I would'nt recommend for the food at the moment, sorry. We have always loved the food but not so much this time, sorry. I had haddock and chips. The haddock was very very greasy and the chips had been fried a while beforehand and kept warm. My Dad had crumble for pudding and the cast iron pan was so hot he almost burnt his hands. I do feel that it has gone down a little in quality, sorry.
Fantastic service, food came out quickly and all tasted amazing! Thankyou for the great service and tasty food as always
This was our 3rd visit and we will definitely be going again. I would recommend The White Hart to all my friends and family.
Sunday lunch wasn't as nice as normal. very short staffed had to wait ages for ordering desert and then ages receiving desert ..not the normal service we have received.
Restaurant looked little untidy too.
We often visit on a Sunday, good food and great value for 2 courses. Service seemed slower than usual this week, we dined at 5.20 (we were late for a 5pm booking I did ring to say and staff were great about it) everyone had eaten. I think it’s better to visit slightly earlier.
We usually love the White Hart and look forward to visiting but on this occasion we were disappointed. The staff are very good and the food is tasty but we had to send back a Sunday lunch as the Yorkshire pudding was cold. The meal was returned but the rest of the it was also barely warm. It was a shame as the starters of breaded prawns were delicious.
As an assistance dog user, I was very disappointed to be told I wasn’t allowed to eat in the main restaurant and that “dogs” have to stay in the bar side. I have never been duscrinated against previously in one of their sister venues before so this was a bit of a shock, I also didn’t appreciate a “pet dog” having a barking fit at my well behaved dog under the table by my feet.
As our visit was for my mothers 83rd birthday, this wasn’t what I expected or should have had to accept.
The food was quite average, and it wasn’t particularly hot. The waiting staff however were friendly bringing my dog water and a treat.
After visiting previously for a drink sitting in the beautiful gardens, I was in no doubt that this is where to treat mum for her birthday.
I will think twice before visiting any of these related venues in the future.
We were first in at twelve but God knows how long the plates had been under the warmer. Average food for above average prices.
The food was nice but the service was poor, food arrived but no cutlery, had to ask twice whilst food was getting cold. Roast dinners served with no roast potatoes despite them being listed on menu, nobody asked during the meal how the food was. Great shame.
lovely food, fantastic customer service. thank you
Great place for the best Sunday Lunch and you can even take in dogs who were treated to their own water and dog chews
Service excellent, Food fresh hot and generous portions. Some noise from a wedding reception disrupted table conversation
Nice lively pub/ restaurant.good food served with a smile
Wonderful meal for mother’s day but the music was too loud
Easy to book on-line, friendly greeting, dog friendly (staff provided dog chews!).
Relaxing atmosphere, not rushed.
Good choice on the menu & specials board.
Service efficient & wait for food minimal.
Presentation excellent & quality very good.
Overall very enjoyable meal experience.
Noticed as we were leaving that staff were preparing to serve late comers despite them arriving well after last orders for food - nice to see.
Food was excellent, fantastic Sunday lunch, my mum has a small appetite and they were very accommodating at making a smaller lunch for her. I would definitely recommend this restaurant
Lovely food, lovely staff, lovely building and lovely views. Just an all over lovely experience.
2nd visit and won't be returning. My partners steak was very rare instead of medium to well. The battered king prawns in the shared starter were very greasy. I had cod and chorizo which was swimming on a bed of oil which had made the parmentier potatoes very soggy. Very disappointing meal. The only good thing to note was the service.
Was amazing food but service was very slow and not like usual service
Came for our daughters 21st food was excellent and service was good lovely setting an decor
Another excellent meal. Both my wife and I ad the 10oz rump which were both cooked to perfection. Great selection of guest beers and a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
As always, The White Hart delivers excellent, efficient and professional service and outstanding food. We took friends who have never been before and they all commented on how much they enjoyed the food and the general high standards all round.
Shared starter was delicious but main course was a pasta dish which was extremely dry as it did not have a sauce. The lemon posset with raspberries arrived with half a strawberry and no raspberries.
Staff were very friendly and the place is very nice. I have eaten here twice before but this meal was extremely disappointing in comparison. It is also a shame that wedding guests from the room next door are coming in and out of the restaurant all the time.
The Halloumi salad I thought was really expensive for what I got... I imagine it cost no more than £3 to make and it was £12 for a small bowl. However my partners meal was great.
We were a group of 16 with prebooked tables and food in their function room. The staff was very attentive and the food was served promptly once everybody had arrived. Everybody enjoyed their meals. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening
Excellent as ever. A slight hiccup when the kitchen either ignored or forgot a special request, which meant an extra 15 minute wait, but the bill was adjusted to account for this, without us having to ask.
Really enjoy this place. This is one of my favourite places, the food, service and ambience are all excellent plus its dog friendly.
The white hart was a place for a romantic evening meal with high quality food options and a pleasant, friendly atmosphere.
It’s seems due to now having 3 places to run it’s become like a small chain and they are now catering for people who want a romantic pizza .. I can do a pizza at home anytime or have a takeaway.. I don’t want to pay £13 for a pizza and sit next to 2 noisy chaps talking work with work language when I’m with my wife .
All that being said , we had a nice rump steak which was cooked lovely. Next time we will check the menu - we are now looking for another place for our romantic evenings out .
Excellent quality food at reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely venue. Delicious food. Excellent service. Value for money
Visited here a few times as it's always enjoyable. This visit was for Sunday Lunch to celebrate my 65th birthday! We booked a table of 6 for 2.00pm and arrived early in order to have a few drinks first, there's always a good selection of real ales, lager and wines. When we did eventually order the food didn't arrive we must have waited at least 45mins, we told a member of staff and immediately a waitress came over apologised and offered us complimentary drinks. The food then arrived in a few minutes and was very nice indeed. We are not complaining about the long wait, it's just one of those things that can happen and the quick response once they realised along with complimentary drinks more than made up for it. We will certainly visit again
Sunday lunch, great value.
Large portions, hot & tasty
We had a great testing meal great service no complaints
I would absolutely recommend!! Sunday lunch was amazing, great atmosphere and service!!!
Very nice country pub with a modern twist on furnishings and food. I attended a wedding reception here last year and was impressed with the venue and food so had to return. Easy booking system via opentable.co.uk.
Fabulous food very reasonable price
Liam behind the bar is lovely and really helpful. My meal was cold but he was really helpful and sorted it straight away. Thank you!
