The White Hart
The brothers’ ethos is to deliver a memorable experience to their guests. Their focus is on quality food which is made with creativity & passion, accompanied with wine and drinks that are carefully selected.
When dining or staying at The White Hart service will be relaxed and friendly but professionally executed.
All round really good, we were next to a large and quite noisy group that made it difficult to talk amongst ourselves but when they left it was great. Good food. Good service. Will go back.
Lovely Birthday meal at the White Hart .
The food was delicious and the service was spot on , friendly staff were on hand but in the background waiting for you to need anything - great . We will be back
Excellent beer, food & wine. Couldn't have asked for more.
Six girls for breakfast all happy that’s got to be a record outstanding food and service
Amazing cocktails, lovely buzzy vibe and good food
Would return again in a heartbeat
Fabulous from start to finish ! Can’t recommend enough - The Sunday Lunch was incredible .
Great food, menu, beer and wine - we'll always go back for more.
Lovely Sunday lunch, excellent service from Lev, will definitely be back!!
Wonderful short stay at the White Hart with family. Pleasant, calm atmosphere, excellent dinner, comfortable room, super breakfast. The staff were friendly & efficient & nothing was too much trouble.
Another great meal in The White Hart - try the Jackfruit Tacos - amazing even if you're not a vegetarian
Loved everything about The White Hart, service was second to none.
First time eating here, food was great, service brilliant, especially Adam.
This restaurant is superb! From the moment we walked in we got superlative service and the food and drink was of the highest quality. They have a marvellous Armagnac as well!
10 out of 10 - we’re going back for Sunday lunch!
Booked for the Valentines set menu.
Great service right from the start. A call from the restaurant checking I knew about the set menu.
Staff on the night were friendly and very knowledgeable about the food and drinks.
Quality and presentation of the food was excellent, all set in a fantastic surroundings.
Great food, tasty cocktails and good atmosphere. Good value for money and friendly staff.
Lovely location and amazing food. We went for my husband's birthday and it was really special. Service really friendly too.
Best Sunday lunch I have had, roast beef was outstanding.interesting talk about the wine we ordered aswell.
Delighted to renew our acquaintance with the White Hart which filled in admirably for the Tilbury as it is closed on Mondays. Great start to the week courtesy of this late seasonal Board room lunch for 5 hungry people.
Excellent lunch, with a good menu. Very tasty and food well presented.
Only small problem was that one of our party was slightly disabled and does not walk very well. The steps down to the restaurant were a challenge. Don't know if with such an old property you are able to offer an easier access to the restaurant?
Enjoyed the visit, and will come again.
Beautiful pub, awesome menu with something a bit different
Works lunch enjoyed by all, will return with the wife.
Worth a visit, food is tasty and well presented. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Having been a couple of times and enjoyed the food. On this occasion with friends and family in tow, we were really disappointed. Spider Crab burger so crispy You couldn’t tell it was crab and the dessert of Chocolate mousse that 3 of us tried was grainy and solid that looked like cookie dough paste and certainly not mousse like.
Food and service amazing as always!
Really nice, very high quality gastropub. Great service. Very good and varied menu.
Lovely meal, wonderful ambience. James in particular - exceptionally helpful. Will definitely return, thank you!
Expensive for quality of food
Great service, friendly staff. Food was good, not outstanding, but balanced by the ambience.
I had a great dish, my partner said theirs was ok... Nice wine, friendly helpful staff.
Thank you for an overall fantastic evening. Service and food was amazing.
Altogether excellent - lovely food in a comfortable room full of character (amazing inglenook fireplace), served by knowledgeable and friendly staff. Their house wine is really great - well chosen but very reasonably priced. Thoroughly recommended.
Very good Sunday roast beef. Desserts a little disappointing. Cheese plate could have done with a better selection of accompanying biscuits rather than just plain old Jacobs.
Pumpkin pie was really nice but the veg didn't really compliment the dish. Gravy should come as a natural side. The staff were all lovely. The ambience is really nice.
One of the best roasts I’ve ever had, and service was spot on
We had a lovely romantic dinner, service was attentive without being overbearing.
Dishes were well presented, seasonal and original, in particular the specials.
Will definitely return.
Great food with exceptional service, very friendly staff, lovely room with comfy bed. Overall a delight to stay there and no doubt we shall return.
The menu looked basic, like pub food at first but the quality of the food was excellent so the menu didn't do it justice. Very happy, would go back again for sure
Went for Sunday lunch as had a BOBfm voucher. Haven’t been here for a long time as not great last time but think new management and we were really impressed. Friendly staff, good service, not rushed and food was excellent. Always worry with Sunday lunch that you’d wish you’d cooked yourself at home but this was a class above pub food. A more gastro two or three course menu but also some of the usual pub favourites as well, which really suited us as a family. We will definitely be back for Sunday lunch but will also try a weekend eve with friends too.
According to my friend...the best fish and chips he’s had for years!
Our ‘go to’ restaurant for meeting local friends, due to consistently very good food and service. Yet another lovely evening spent there on Friday.
