The White Peacock
12-17 year olds are welcome to dine in the restaurant until 8pm. Children must remain seated at all times. We do not have the facilities to accommodate for babies and young children, there for the restaurant is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. (For family and special occasions, please speak to the General Manager who can advise accordingly regarding young children)
The best of fine dining in Leicester and a place that has special memories of many special occasions
Great food great atmosphere
We went to this restaurant as we had a beautiful meal there in the spring. Unfortunately this time it didn’t come close. Food just wasn’t up to scratch and the triple cooked chips promised so much but were just not good at all. Sorry but it was not worth the money! Unlikely we’ll be back
Amazing place. Food gorgeous. I would definitely recommend this place.
An awesome dining experience as always. Had the nine course tasting menu with wine pairings and it was fantastic.
Great food and atmosphere. We have been here a couple of times and have never been disappointed.
would definitely recommend.
The food was nice however we had the beef shin which was served with a very disappointing CHICKEN jus! When we asked about it the waitress said this was normal but the menu clearly states beef jus
Beautiful food. Staff very attentive and make you feel like nothing is too much trouble
Excellent food. Good menu options, great atmosphere. Service was excellent staff were friendly and knowledgeable offering good wine choices.
Overall a very pleasant dining experience for all ages and occasions
Food was great, service was good but needs to be careful not to be overbearing.
The background music was a bit too jazzy at times.
I’d go again but perhaps on a Friday or Saturday when there are more diners and there’s a bit more atmosphere
Great value for money on the lunch menu.
It’s like masterchef, amazing quality food and amazing service. Perfect for special occasions!
Lovely relaxing lunch with my friend.
Excellent service from start to finish and was never rushed.
Good value for money. The food was delicious 😋
As usual we had the 7 course taster menu with wine pairings. The food was delicious especially the carrot soup and pork belly. The ice cream tasted wonderful after being made with fresh mint instead of synthetic flavourings.
Excellent service, staff very tentative and polite. Food awesome. Definitely go again.
We went for the afternoon tea as a graduation day celebration. The food was plentiful and every element was thoughtfully prepared and tasted delicious. The staff were polite, attentive and helpful and made us feel comfortable. We really enjoyed our experience and would definitely return.
This must be Leicester's premier restaurant venue. Perfection is strived for and attained.
Sunday lunch set menu is very substantial and good value for money in pleasant surroundings with very attentive service. The sirloin steak was beautifully tender and cooked to perfection (pink) .
A wide range of wines are available by the glass and some classics wines by the bottle.
Extensive gardens for pre- and post-meal relaxation with climbing frames and a Wendy house to keep young people amused.
Had a lovely meal at the White Peacock. Food came fairly quickly and staff were very attentive.
Fabulous, as always. Service, food, everything’s special.
The best silver service restaurant in Leicester. The food is always of a high standard and the menu very imaginative. It is so nice to be able to have a pre-dinner cocktail in a separate bar. The staff are very friendly and super efficient. A great experience.
The team at The White Peacock are amazing, we had an amazing evening, 5 star service. food was of a very high quality and served so beautifully.
our evening was fantastic.
Thank you Esmae and team.
Great food and great atmosphere. Staff were very attentive and on hand.
The service was good and the staff very helpful and friendly. The food was nice but not exceptional.
Excellent from arrival to departure made you feel welcome and special food was excellent and catered for our dietary needs
My wife and I came here for our anniversary. We chose it because it was travel advisers most popular restaurant in Leicester. We were also extremely impressed as it being mid week it was empty. Despite the emptiness staff were attentive, grateful and warm and welcoming. We did not have to wait too long between courses but just enough to allow us time to digestive previous. They had a substantive choice of wine, and we had a decent choice of food as we ate à la carte. There was also an impressive range of cocktails especially for dessert. We shall definitely come here again.
Great service. Peaceful ambience. Good friends, good wine, good times.
Amazing service, attention to detail second to none. Delicious food, will be visiting again soon 🙂
Everything about the White Peacock is perfect. Amazing food and wine, and the best service - every time. This is our “special occasion” restaurant so we don’t come that often, but we are always remembered and treated like royalty! Cannot recommend highly enough
All though the atmosphere and drinks, service etc were lovely. The food was just not up to the standard it was trying to achieve. We found the food looked incredible and across the menu I think every single technique ever invented for cooking was used, but the food itself was a let down, it lacked punch and flavour and unfortunately was rather bland. We had ox cheek for main and I couldn't eat mine the sinew was so bad it was like eating slime. Even the raspberry sorbet and jellies on the chocolate dessert had no raspberry sharpness to them.
Beautiful cocktails, fantastic service. Food was out this world! My desired pudding was not available, however I went with the cheese board which was ok. We will definitely return.
Very attentive waiter/waitress, nothing was too much trouble, food was superb!
Reassuringly small a la Carte menu with local produce. Reasonably priced and decent array of drink options.
If anything negative I would say the lack of a chicken dish on the menu was unusual but I had the venison and it was delicious. Partner had the bass - cleaned the plate!
From the moment we walked in the service was exceptional. Friendly and warm team with knowledge about the menu and drinks. The food was sublime, wanted to try everything on the menu.
Will definitely be visiting again!!
We booked The White Peacock for a special birthday meal for my partner. It was a very good evening with outstanding quality and creativity of dishes. We were well looked after.
Beautiful food and nice service! Attention to detail
Fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere. Very attentive friendly staff, it was a special mother’s day meal
Great service. Not that many options for vegetarians.
This was our first visit and we were very impressed with the way we were greeted and looked after. The flavours of the food were exquisite. The ambience is relaxing and warm. We loved everything about it and are already planning to bring a large party here soon. Thank you for such a lovely experience.
A truly wonderful experience from start to finish. The food and service were excellent with so much choice our heads were spinning! We opted for the a la carte menu which had something for everyone.
Disappointed, was recommended but sadly the ratings and recommendations not fair ones, and probably a bit out of date.
Could not fault the waiting team and front of house, sadly the food quality was not great, and being only one of two couples dining at lunch on a Saturday did not make for a great meal. Choices also limited and not that spread, so overall all a bit disappointing. Think if they introduced a few more options, looked at their wine list, and made the food a bit more tasty, and less effort on foams or surprises, they could bring it back again.
Lived up to expectations based on previous reviews. Warm welcome. Attentive staff. Food was delicious. An excellent choice for a special occasion and even a lunchtime treat.
Great cocktails too!
