About

The Wild Rabbit is a modern British inn – a place to eat, drink and sleep. Set in the heart of the Cotswolds, we serve locally sourced, seasonal food in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Enjoy an apertif by the fire place, or a glass of wine from our impressive cellar selection. Ask our bartenders to recommend the latest addition to our gin selection. Our beautifully bright, spacious Dining Room enjoys the added theatre of an open kitchen, where Head Chef Nathan Eades and his team can be viewed painstakingly preparing some seasonal delights. often fresh from Daylesford's larder. The best way to enjoy the fruits of their labour is the delectable Tasting Menu and wine pairing, selected especially by our Sommelier. Of course, if you want to fully indulge, you can reserve a luxurious bedroom upstairs.

The food was excellent. The staff were all lovely. The food just was a little slow to come but it was relaxing rather than a major issue.

If I hadn’t been before I wouldn’t return based on this visit. We opted for the tasting menu with wine pairings and it took forever! Way too much time in between courses. Food was well prepared but the skate was full of bones...not enjoyable at all. Wines selected were nice but not overly generous for the price. There was a definite breakdown in communication with server. Couldn’t really understand her describing any of the dishes. Asked for the check at the end and she brought a card for a taxi. The ambience is always great and the sommelier was very charming. Will give it another go at some point but don’t be rushing back.

Quintessential Cotswolds experience with cozy atmosphere, attentive servers, carefully crafted local food, and exquisite wine selection. We took our children along and they appreciated the children’s menu (which was very reasonably priced). Each course improved upon the previous one (which I thought would be impossible) and culminated in an incredible dessert selection. I can’t spend that much every time I go out to eat, but it was worth every penny.

We called ahead to let the staff know we were going to arrive 10 minutes after our 2 PM reservation. While I was parking the car, they essentially made my wife order all of our food before 2:15 or we wouldn’t have been sent home so I had no idea what food was coming. They rushed us through our entire meal and we were out before 2 other families that were seated before us. The food was good but as much as we paid for it, it would have been nice to enjoy it.

We’ve gone for a tasting menu on a Sunday lunch. Starter and main courses were ok but nothing we would crave to go back for. Desserts were very good.
Service poor, unnatentive an unprofessional. Wouldn’t go back. Not what you expect when you pay a bill of nearly £200 for 2.
Shame because the place looks very pleasant!

Brilliant food and service. Had the cured trout and the lamb. Both were excellent and the dish was very well balanced, both in flavor and texture. Better than some Michelin starred restaurants I have been to.

Yes I would recommend the Wild Rabbit to a friend. We would preferred to have sat outside as it was such a beautiful day. We were disappointed that this was not possible. We were also disappointed that the cote du Bouef was not chargrilled as mentioned on menu. It was roasted. However the apologies were made and we were offered a drink of our choice from the wine menu. They went out of their way to rectify the situation. We would definitely go back but would probably eat from the other menu which alot cheaper but very similar.

Really lovely setting, great decor (and we had lovely weather so opted to sit and eat outside). Service was great - staff are so welcoming and helpful. We ate from the bar menu (rather than the main restaurant) and it was lovely, but I was expecting to be wowed a little more. Could tell that quality ingredients were used and dishes are kept simple, but I couldn’t taste the seasoning on the chilli think our expectations had just been set a little high from all the positives we’d already heard

Very excellent food and nice variety even on a traditional English sunday lunch. Wine list was vast and very good. Prices are a bit high considering the amount of food. The amounts are juts right but the prices are a bit high.

Beautiful location, amazing ambience and experience. The staff were friendly and helpful but the food lacked depth and flavour. The table was for a party of 4 and we all had the tasting menu. Would recommend a visit but maybe consider ordering dishes next time rather than the set tasting menu. A nice evening

The food and service were outstanding. The food was delicious and the staff serving made the whole experience very memorable. The restaurant was beautifully laid out and furnished and the adjacent tables were not too close. The only slight downside for me was the men's toliet - a lot water on the floor which looked like something was leaking and they looked like they could do with a liitle bit of maintenance. Sounds picky, but it took a slight gloss of what was otherwise a wonderful experience.

Great, interesting food at a reasonable price and great drinks options (the seasonal Bellini was fantastic). Our 3 month old baby joined us for dinner and service was absolutely wonderful and so considerate. We both had to leave at various times during the meal to change our son and I needed to feed him and they held our food at the pass while we were absent and offered to keep my food warm while I fed him. We will definitely be returning - I couldn’t recommend this place more highly.

We were sat on a table with very harsh spotlights which couldn't be dimmed which immediately set an unusual tone for the meal. As 2 diners had starters the other 2 didn't receive anything other than bread and canapes for 1 hrs 30 mins, by this point 1030 at night. The steak ordered was chewy and unpleasant although it did have a lovely flavour. Eventually it was replaced but not as had been ordered instead it was served without the sauce, with blue cheese which had been requested to be removed earlier and missing a garnish. Whilst we had been waiting for this dish to reappear and whilst our companion then ate alone we were not at any point offered a drink or something else by way of an apology, something which is usually standard at a restaurant of this level which values it's service and customer experience. At the point of receiving the replacement dish, approximately 11pm all staff disappeared and service was non existent. We waited for almost an hour for our table to be cleared and desert orders to be taken. This is one of my favourite restaurants but I hadn't visited for about a year. Whilst my fish dish was outstanding the service levels that we experienced were very unexpected and made the evening far less enjoyable than it should be at a restaurant of this standard. Very disappointing and will make me think twice about booking here in future.

This was our first visit and we thoroughly enjoyed our Saturday lunch from the a la carte menu. The food and service were excellent. The only negatives were that it was expensive but still nice to do for a special occassion. And our table was near the kitchen and a table used by the staff, with staff walking past us all the time and noise, whilst there were unused tables on the far side of the room. Will definitely go back as the food and service were perfect.

We came to the Wild Rabbit to celebrate our first year together as a couple. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the food was absolutely second to none. The service at the start of the meal was fantastic, however once we had finished our main course our plates were not cleared for a very long time. We ordered another drink that wasn’t brought to us but was still included on our bill. We were given dessert menus but no one came back to take our order. We decided not to bother with dessert as we had been kept waiting so long. When we voiced our disappointment with the service as we paid the bill, the waitress did apologise and offer to take off the 12.5% service charge, but in our opinion this should have been taken off immediately by the staff by way of apology once they had heard about the sub-standard service. All in all it was a lovely meal and we would definitely try it again however sadly the service was disappointing.
