The Wild Rabbit
Choose from an eclectic mix of bar snacks to include homemade black pudding with bubble and squeak and fresh eggs laid up the road on LB"s Daylesford Farm.
In what has to be one of the most charming dining rooms, Michelin Starred Tim Allen and his team are very much on show in this open kitchen. A seasonally changing menu which highlight such dishes as Cornish Mackerel two ways, forced rhubarb, turnip and horseradish, dill buttermilk. The desserts will not disappoint and if you are to full to leave why not just collapse in one of the glorious bedrooms upstairs?
Beautiful food. Fancy but not too fancy! Good food cooked perfectly
We came to the Wild Rabbit to celebrate our first year together as a couple. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the food was absolutely second to none. The service at the start of the meal was fantastic, however once we had finished our main course our plates were not cleared for a very long time. We ordered another drink that wasn’t brought to us but was still included on our bill. We were given dessert menus but no one came back to take our order. We decided not to bother with dessert as we had been kept waiting so long. When we voiced our disappointment with the service as we paid the bill, the waitress did apologise and offer to take off the 12.5% service charge, but in our opinion this should have been taken off immediately by the staff by way of apology once they had heard about the sub-standard service. All in all it was a lovely meal and we would definitely try it again however sadly the service was disappointing.
Absolutely amazing...can’t wait to return! Tasting menu was superb and sommelier perfectly paired wines to match. Couldn’t have been more pleased.
We were recommended not to miss eating at the Wild Rabbit and we were so glad we did.
The tasting menu was one of the nicest we have ever had and was a fair price. The decor is just gorgeous and immediately we felt comfortable. We loved that they kept a well as a feature in the restaurant.
The staff were friendly & knowledgeable.
We will definitely visit again when we are in the cotswolds.
Wonderful meal. The food was exceptional - especially the scallop and artichoke starter. Dana looked after us brilliantly. Thank you!
Fab room great food and super professional service
Friendly, efficient staff, though ‘at table’ we felt a little rushed and our conversation was interrupted by the waiter asking for our attention. Food was good but plain, lacking seasoning and a flourish of herbs or spices. Our x2 yoghurt parfait desserts (£11/each) was far too cold/frozen to enjoy as it came straight from the freezer. When I mentioned this to the waiter he didn’t apologise or offer any comment at all. Worth a visit but maybe not a return.
Top food, top service and a real delight. Highly recommended.
This was an incredible meal. We did the tasting menu and it was outstanding and incredible value for the quality of food.
Excellent food in a really attractive dining room. Cost is high but it may just be justified based on the quality of the food. Went for Sunday lunch and received big portions
great restaurant and really helpful stuff and excellent food.
such a lovely ambience too- looking forward to coming back again.
Lovely country pub setting, restaurant was spacious and airy whilst still maintaining an air of coziness. Very good food with a reasonable menu choice. Friendly but unobtrusive service. Felt well looked after.
Such a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. The surroundings were spot on and the service was excellent. Whilst the food was good I wouldn’t say it was exceptional and I thought my starter rather overpriced to be honest.
Overall had a lovely evening and would return.
As always we had a great evening here. It is fine dining but with genuinely nice people running the show and staff who go that extra mile for you.
Not the cheapest experience as it was £400+ for four people but for special occasions it is perfect.
From front of house to the table delivery we were excellently catered for. The sommelier was funny and knowledgeable.
The most amazing food, great service and a wonderful atmosphere!
We had a fabulous lunchtime with friends. The setting was delightful, the food was really delicious and we were looked after by a team of friendly and charming professionals. We particularly liked Norbert and his vast knowledge of wines from around the world.
We can only make one constructive criticism and that was the restaurant was far too hot. Whilst the fireplace looked amazing the heat from it was overpowering in conjunction with the underfloor heating. Once we moved to a table further away from the fire however we were far more comfortable.
We overheard other customers complain about the heat from the fire too.
Go steady with the flames 🔥
See you again soon
A stunning restaurant, we very much enjoyed our food, and the service was attentive and friendly.
Great food and great service in a lovely atmosphere, provided you are happy to pay the price.
Amazing food, glorious wine and wonderful atmosphere! Norbert the sommelier was bang on !
Wild Rabbit on top form ! Back very very soon !
We met up with friends and Kingham was a good location to meet for lunch. It is our first visit to the Wild Rabbit and it certainly will not be our last. We enjoyed the tasting menu. The food was imaginative and very good. We spent a very pleasant 4 hours eating, drinking and talking.
Awful service and even worse food. Ordered two beef roasts to find out the meat comes rare or well done. I don’t like meat that has a strong iron taste so I had to get well done which was like leather. Not good for a £25 roast. The service was slow and to top it off they ran out of Yorkshire puddings which I could see everyone around us leaving. I didn’t know there’d be a shortage of flour and eggs at a restaurant.. I asked for my coat back (a £1200 ski jacket) to get a wallet from the pocket to be questioned about a coat ticket which we never got - obviously making my heart sink. They then said they’d compensate for the lack of Yorkshire pud to which we got ‘extra greens’ - our portion looked no bigger than anyone else’s. Made a long drive out here and honestly disgusted at the price for what we got. Nothing on the White Spoon. Bought this with our Christmas money as a treat and it was just a waste of money. Thoroughly regret paying the service charge but couldn’t wait to get out of there. Then the waitress charges me an extra £30 because she input the wrong amount.... Will never ever come here again.
Food and Service were exceptional.
Our second visit, previously outdoors in summer. This time for five at Sunday lunch in January. This is a place which does not quite come together well. We were early and served at first promptly, but the level of attention fell off sharply and in the end we were waiting a long time for service. The service had too much attention to pouring drinks and not enough to promptly taking orders and clearing. The food is disappointing for the price. Roast sirloin was a curious purple red, showed little sign of roasting and had little flavour. Desserts were better, and coffe and tea good, but perhaps welcome given the waiting time. Ambience OK, feels a bit soulless, but nothing that good service levels could not compensate. Noise levels are fine. Perhaps it appeals to the wealthy foreign tourist.
As always, the most fabulous service and food. This is our second visit and we will definitely be back again. Wish there was more room to sit in the bar for drinks, as could happily spend all day soaking up the atmosphere. Demand for rooms is super high and we havent managed to book into to stay yet, but will keep trying.
Fantastic food and great staff. We would highly recommend.
Excellent lunch at the Wild Rabbit. Lovely fresh vegetables and delicious ribeye steak. Very atmospheric over Christmas. Will be back!
Simply a fantastic experience.
Wonderful pub, welcoming bar with roaring fires and friendly staff. Restaurant is incredible, with a lot of locally sourced options on the menu.
Wine selection is to die for however most options are very expensive.
Brilliant meal there and so kind to my wife for her birthday meal!
Absolutely fantastic on all counts! Planning our next visit already. Thank you for the wonderful table, service, food and setting!
We haven't been to the Wild Rabbit for a while, but it was better than before, especially the service. I also really like the generous size of the tables!
Had the most wonderful, relaxed lunch.
The food was fantastic, we had the tasting menu, it was great! We went for my mums 50th birthday and they added some extra special touches which were lovely. We would definitely recommend.
FANTASTIC FOOD, WINE AND GREAT SERVICE, COULD NOT FAULT
Absolutely first class. Service is exceptional and the food is superb. Will visit again
Staff were very attentive, food was lovely, atmosphere was perfect. Lovely experience, if a little expensive for what food we ate. Would definitely go back if we are ever in the Cotswolds.
Food was really poorly seasoned and the meals were not up to expectation.
The food was outstanding. I was with my wife and adult daughter for a late lunch. The Sommelier was very knowledgeable and helpful. The menu was small but perfect. The flavors were fantastic. We had a wonderful time!
