The Wishing Well
Great evening with fantastic service from Ann
Outstanding and special, as always.
I have been there three times and this is clearly the best restaurant in Saratoga period...
Top notch service and excellent food! The ambiance can’t be beat!
A favorite place for Saratoga friends on a regular basis. My wife and I had fish(scallops and stuffed haddock) and we were both very disappointed. Other members of the party had meat dishes and were happy. This was a great disappointment as we always look forward to our annual visit.
loBSTER WAS DRY- HARD AND THE CLAWS WERE DRY AND SPONGY WITH NO TASTE. oTHER THAN THAT!!!
The Wishing Well is always on the top of our list when we go to Saratoga Springs . It’s always so nice to see Brenda Lee ( the owner) there ! The food and the staff are always wonderful ! You definitely need a reservation !! Great piano player in the bar area so get there earlier than your reservation time .
Service was excellent, very attentive but not overly so. Evening special was Prime
Rib. We order it medium rare and it was definitely rare ( our fault for not sending it back ).
I just expect better from them.
We go there every year when visiting Saratoga and always leave happy.
We have been going to the Wishing Well for over 25 years in August when we visit Saratoga. We always have a great meal. It has a diversified menu. There were four of us each having something different: prime rib; turkey; duck and trout and the food was delicious. We would certainly give this restaurant high marks.
A fabulous find during the meet in Saratoga! Great piano player in the bar/lobby creates a really enjoyable atmosphere!
Excellent. Great food and service. Unique place.
Favorite place to go when visiting Saratoga Springs. Delicious food and wonderful service. Will be back again next year!!
Our waitress Diana was exceptional; attentive, never had to wait/ask for anything! Friendly and engaging.
Found the Wishing Well Restaurant by accident about 6 visits ago. We are 3 hours away but every time visiting Saratoga we go there. Even made a special trip in winter for our anniversary. Spectacular food and service. Very accommodating and friendly
We are at Saratoga every August and wouldn't miss dinner at the Wishing Well. It's always an evening to remember.
We enjoy celebrating special occasions at the Wishing Well. They have some unique dining extras like fresh tomatoes on the table as you wait for your meal, and the best corn on the cob as an addition to whatever we order.
We also like the piano player in the bar area.
Of course the food and ambiance are also excellent.
The best prime rib ever & so were tomatoes & corn. We go every year
Outstanding dinning experience. I have never been disappointed in the food or service.
My fish entree was lukewarm, everything else was very good.
Every aspect of our dining experience at The Wishing Well surpassed our expectations. From the young men working as valets, to the setting, exceptional service and food plus value for the cost - all were truly superb. We went earlier purposely and it was well worth it for the mood we were in. The restaurant and bar area did get busy as we were leaving but that was also pleasing - piano in the bar area - people enjoying themselves. You could have either, depending on your mood. We were in the area on a day trip and would (will!) definitely come back just for the restaurant. It was memorable.
Food was amazing. The staff was courteous. Prices are definitely on the higher side, but well worth it.
Love the atmosphere. Live piano. Fun bar. Great salmon dinner. Yummy cornbread. Good wine list.
I have recommended The Wishing Well to others who have visited during racing season. Everyone who has gone enjoyed themselves.
We has a 7:30 reservation but did not get seated until 8:15. We do come to Saratoga for the races, we are aware of the short season and know there will be crowds no matter where we go. So the wait was on our radar. If I am ever in the area off-season I'll be sure to enjoy The Wishing Well without the frenzy!!! Speaking of frenzy it was crowed waiting in the bar and the noise level was high......but it is part of the ambience of Racing Season!!
Love this restaurant! I look forward to going every year!
Old classic Saratoga experience, great ambiance with a nice bar and piano music
Everything was perfect- meal was awesome- service was outstanding
Our server Katie was terrific. We have gone here a few times since we recently moved into the area part time. It's a lovely place to dine & take friends to. They do take of problems you may encounter. Our first trip we had a well done steak that was ordered Med Rare. The compensated us with a $25 gift card. This last time my Lamb chop was all bone so they made me a new one , which I took to go. Unfortunately it was 2/3rds fat. But it won't discourage us to continue to dine here, just won't get the Lamb again. Oh, the Martinis are delicious!
It's the one meal I look forward to having every year. That's how good it is. I love it when I'm there and I miss it when I'm not there.
We had a great time at The Wishing Well. We were there on a Saturday night of a busy racing weekend and the food and service were outstanding. The valet parkers, the busboys and the wait staff were well trained and very pleasant. Our waitress Devon was fun and very helpful. The owner came by to check on us and welcome us. The restaurant was full but the noise level was moderate. I would absolutely recommend the restaurant to anyone.
The food, the service, the ambience! Do not have a bad thing to say. One of the best meals we have had! If you are in the Saratoga area, this is a must!!
This was our fourth visit to the Wishing Well, and while the food was delicious as usual, there were issues this time that can’t be ignored. We were entertaining close family friends on their first Saratoga visit and wanted to treat them at a favorite restaurant. We arrived precisely at our 8:00 PM reservation time and were told we’d be seated shortly, so we refrained from getting drinks. After standing in their foyer for nearly 40 minutes (and in full view of the hostess stand and dining manager), I finally approached and was told our table was ready. This, after he asked me four times if I was “XXX, party of four” and I kept telling who we were. When finally seated, our server came twice to take drink orders before we’d had an opportunity to review, and subsequently took another 10 minutes or more to return. Between appetizers and entrees, she didn’t get placement of one item correctly with the corresponding diner - not a major problem, but just surprising. Finally, with all that preceded it, there should at least have been an offer of dessert or to deduct the two glasses of wine ordered, but...nothing. We’re disappointed.
Great dinner and atmosphere as always. Service was a bit strained with a full house in mid-racing season. But we were in no hurry and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Excellent food with "bonus" fresh tomatoes and corn during the meal. Pleasant environment and post-track ambiance.
Very disappointed with the selection for the
fix priced dinner of $35 . Previously in other
years very good .
This was out first time at the Wishing Well but it won’t be our last! The food was superb! Upon being seated, we were greeted immediately by a server who brought us fresh rolls and super fresh heirloom tomatoes! Such a lovely surprise!
Very nice ambiance. My filet mignon was the best I have ever had in my 74yrs. Waiter was great. I will return!!!
Good meal. Consistent as always.
Best meal, service, atmosphere and overall experience.
It was great!! Love this place
Everyone's meal was awesome, Lexi our waitress was outstanding
