My birthday lunch was augmented by some delicious Sekt and just perfect in terms of amount and value.
Food absolutely underwhelming. Chopped chicken salad was bland although there was an effortless to put vegetables in it. I couldn’t tell you what the salad dressing was. The server (also the bartender) would talk about the dishes but was contradictory and misleading to the point of making you wonder whether she knew what she was talking about. My coffee cup had more coffee splashed on the outside of the cup than in it. I didn’t mind the small venue but it is not inspired especially within an art environment.
It was a last minute decision and it was a good one. Everything was deliciousness our server was lovely. Simple interior in a magnificent building.
Brunch before visiting the Guggenheim. First thing first: service was hands-down the best part. Big smiles, friendly, good vibes, just like service should be. Besides that, a grim note: I was the only one in the room, 11.45 in the hype of Nyc brunch on Saturday morning, moreover inside one of the most popular museums in town. Should this be a red flag, given that prices are affordable and menu can easily suit all dietary preferences and restrictions? For a restaurant, yes definitely. I can’t really complain, got a vegan bowl that filled me up for 25$ and did nothing more. Ingredients perhaps were first-quality who knows, but overall it Tasted rather bland and was as cold as the wide, empty, white room I was sitting in, alone. Thank god for the cheerful service!
The food was excellent and our waitress was terrific. She was accommodating, friendly and helpful.
However, we needed to be completely finished by 2 PM in time for our tour and it took too long to get the bill for 9 people settled. We were late for the tour which was extremely disappointing.
Excellent food. Great service with very knowledgeable waiter. Understated but pleasing atmosphere. Perfect lunch spot. Had a wonderful experience.
The lobster and grits entree was delicious. The service was very good. The room was less than I expected, but it was in style with the building. I would return and I would recommend to my friends. Thank you.

The Wright changes its menu regularly and always provides a great choice for a casual lunch on the very UES!
Service was terrific as was my Bloody Mary and bagel and smoked salmon plate! Dessert: chocolate cake and orange ice cream was delicious! Would return.
The Wright restaurant inside the Guggenheim Museum is a lovely space with some delicious food. In particular we enjoyed the asparagus appetizer and the salmon main course. Our waiter (don't know his name) was quite wonderful. His recommendations were good, including his wine recommendation. The space is "spare" but very nice, in keeping with the Frank Lloyd Wright esthetic. My only negative comment is that the menu is very limited, and I think the prices are a bit high for what one gets (and, yes, I live in Manhattan -- I know things are expensive here). However, overall, it was a great location to meet for a friends dinner, followed by a visit to the museum.
It was open for dinner and it was convenient so we went. But dinner was an afterthought for restaurant and really a disservice to diners. Only a few tables were in use. Forget about something like bread for table. Server was friendly enough and food tasted fine but the presentation left much to be desired. To top off, we tried to get a burger to go to bring home for our son, and they said the kitchen was closed and chef had left. It was 8:15pm. Maybe a different experience at lunch but why bother for dinner.
I love the service. The food was outstanding.
I ordered the shrimp salad with rhubarb. Vegetables were fresh and crisp. My son ordered the asparagus caviar salad. He is not a salad eater. However, he enjoyed his salad.

A perfect brunch fit for a museum visit. Typical FLE architecture. Most fitting.
We had a terrific lunch. Highly recommend the 50/50 burger. Our server was delightful and concluded our celebratory lunch with a piece of cake and a battery operated votive candle to "blow out" for one of our threesome who was celebrating her birthday.

The food was fine but slightly insipid. The service was lovely and the venue was comfortable and pleasant. For the price the food really should be better. The rolls that came with the burrata were not a good match for the cheese, they were too soft and too sweet, making the dish lack nuance and texture. I wanted to like it better because it really is a pretty place and I love the museum. Even so, for the convenience and the ambience, I would not rule it out when visiting the museum.
Food was fine, if not inspired. Service was ok, friendly if a little slow. At bit on the pricey side for what was on offer.
I went with a group of seven people. Everyone loved their food and the staff could not have been more helpful. Service was also very efficient and timely. What a pleasant lunch!

Always lovely here. Came for my birthday brunch with family. The service was good but a bit too attentive, even. Food is nice with good options for most everyone. Will go back again.

The right place for lunch before going into the Guggenheim Museum is Wright’s. Named for the famous architect, the food and service was museum quality. The parsnip soup was hot and creamy and garnished with diced apple and pomegranate seeds. Yum. For lunch I had the 50/50 burger, half meat and half mushrooms—so much umami. Served with fingerlings, the “museum” version of the French fry. My husband had the butternut squash raviolis. They came with large arcs of roasted squash and shavings of cheese. So good.
Sadly, they didn’t have my drink of choice, Dewars, at the bar, so I ordered a glass of wine. Despite the busy lunch rush, our server Deena scoured the upstairs stockroom and procured a bottle to pour me a sorry-for-the-disappointment shot. Not necessary, but so memorable and hospitable. This was definitely the “Wright” way to start our mini vaca in NYC.

For what it is, essentially a place to sit down, relax and dine while visiting the museum, The Wright is wonderful. Because the reviews are mixed, I was hesitant to suggest the restaurant to an out of town friend with whom I'd planned a visit to the Guggenheim. As it turned out, The Wright was the perfect spot to meet and to have lunch while we caught up. We both agreed, the food--the mushroom pot pie and the quinoa bowl--and the service were excellent. As for the ambiance, the space was in keeping with the modernity of the Guggenheim itself.
Great resource when you at immersed in a Guggenheim Museum exhibit and need to break for lunch. Creative menu and atmosphere, not too pricey and great service. I definitely recommend it and would visit again!
Unfortunately there were a huge number of children, perhaps 30 or more loud and quite boisterous. I realize we should not have stayed, but I had a special out of town guest and we had looked forward to it. I realize this was an anomaly but wondered if this was an isolated instance or regular thing. We tried to make the best of it, but the adult tables all around us were a bit aghast.
For a James Beard award winning restaurant we expected a lot more. Our reservation was for 12 noon, thirty minutes after the restaurant opened. The floor was dirty, only three tables were occupied and the service was slow. The restaurant is small, crowded and no view of the surrounding Central Park area. In NYC there are far better choices for lunch!
Great place to relax and enjoy a meal after the museum
We had a lovely time on a Saturday afternoon. Our server did not rush us. The space is bright & quiet. I enjoyed the ravioli & wonderful house salad!
Salad was tasty but very skimpy and I’m a small eater. But it was still fine and very convenient if you’re visiting the museum.
Very tasty food. We really appreciated the excellent vegetarian choices. Service was pleasant, helpful and thankfully non-intrusive.
I’d recommend this restaurant for convenience on a museum outing and for vegetarian options. It is small and does not have much ambience. I got the Quinoa bowl, and found it unappealing. I generally love quinoa bowls. My friend seemed to like hers. Another friend got the mushroom pot pie, which looked like a better option. Wine portions are small, and they game it by offering different size pours..
The burger was delicious, but small if it were for a man, but we two women found the size ok so we had room to share a dessert. Chocolate cake also excellent.
Waitress was very accommodating & good at her job so we made sure by our tip that she knew we appreciated her aside from us telling her she did a good job.
