The Yellow House Bar & Kitchen
absolutely fantastic! great food, great service! will definitely come back soon
Food is good and portion size is decent. Staff is attentive and always fantastic for a casual dinner
I dream of Yellow House pizza. So lucky to have this place in the neighborhood. Jamie, Robert and the team are lovely, the food is great, and it's a lovely cozy space perfect for a drink, a date, or a night out with friends.
We had a lovely Christmas Day meal, perfectly cooked and served. Most pleased. My only wish was that there could have been a little more ambiance; a little live music, a conjurer, a quick Father Christmas visit. It was just missing a Christmas 'something'. but we were very happy.
Excellent food as always, friendly staff
Another wonderful meal at the Yellow House - the staff were friendly and efficient, and the food delicious. Thanks for a lovely evening out.
The quality of the ingredients is always good at this restaurant. They still serve bread as a matter of course, which is something I miss when I go to other restaurants. The added bonus being that the bread is baked by the chef and is very tasty. I am a vegetarian and love their Lentil cake. It is moist inside and crispy outside. Vegetables are always cooked well and the deserts are fantastic. The trouble is I am often too full to eat them. I get round that by popping in every now and then and just having desert and coffee! There is a bar area which is quite funky and a good place to hang out.
I have an allergy problem and the staff were extremely helpful. One of the items on the menu was specially adapted for me. I rarely get that level of service elsewhere. The Yellow House is a neighbourhood gem.
I am a regular there and I love it every time. The staff is super attentive and they care. I usually come with my dog and they reserve me an area in the front so I can bring her along. Last time I went, I didn’t call to say whether or not I bring my dog. They held two tables for me, one inside the restaurant and one by the bar where dogs are allowed. That’s going the extra mile!
Lovely little gem of a place. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Nice atmosphere. Food and desert amazing. Definitely will be visiting again
Friendly and relaxed. Great menu choice and the mains were delicious and different. Good wine selection with some intersting specials. We were disappointed by the desserts which didn’t live up to the mains. A creme brulee was unremarkable and 2 of us had the apple crumble which came cold, as was meant to be. Never had cold crumble in my life. We asked for it to be warmed up and well, it must have had 10 seconds in the micro. Not warm at all. Also the crumble was very crumble free - more like an open apple tart with a dusting of crumbs. Our waitress was friendly but rather absent minded and didn’t prioritise things like when we had to wait ages for our opening drinks because “the bar was busy”. I’d go back but would go for startes and mains and avoid the desserts.
Good fresh ingredients with dishes made from scratch. Friendly staff.
This restaurant is lovely. We booked for a birthday lunch. All the food was delicious and came quickly. We brought a baby and forgot to say in the booking but they were very helpful, bringing a high chair, helping with the buggy and not making a fuss about anything. It’s a very warm family friendly place. Highly recommended local restaurant.
What a little gem! Moved to the area 7 months ago but this was our first time at The Yellow House and boy we have been missing out! Would highly recommend, great service, great food, great chefs! The Chef's mums homemade fudge was delicious!
Had an Excellent meal for my partners Birthday. Food was great, Service was excellent and the homemade white chocolate ice cream was the best ice cream I have ever had.
Great dinner as always at The Yellow House. Our party ordered a mix of main courses including steak, plaice, pizza and pasta and everyone was delighted with what they received. Add a well priced grenache for even greater satisfaction. We certainly did!
Very welcoming and friendly staff and good service. Went specifically for white pizzas as they are hard to find. First time visit in an area where there are few restaurants, so will definitely return and try other items on the menu.
Another excellent meal at The Yellow House - this time a birthday celebration where the staff came and sang Happy Birthday to the girl of the moment :-).
Great time had by all
Lovely wine and food
Great deserts as always made by Jamie
The best place to eat in Canada Water area
An amazing meal as always! They always take such care to adapt my meal to suit my allergies but with no compromise to the dish. So friendly and so delicious!
The Yellow House is a fantastic local restaurant, which cares about food provenance. They have a grill, pizza and fancier list of mains. A great wine list, and a staff team that always offers a warm welcome. Recommended.
This was my second visit to the Yellow House and the food was as good as I remembered. It was a very busy night (The Shine Walk) and yet we were still seated and served promptly. The staff were very friendly, cheering the walkers as we left! The bar needs more staff on a busy night, but that’s my only negative comment. Would definitely recommend and visit again.
We visited on the evening of the Shine Walk and despite being extremely busy the staff were friendly, the service was good and the food was excellent. I'd certainly return if I was in the area.
Great food, as every. Always leave room for dessert which is always amazing. They gave me a nice little treat for my birthday too. :-)
Excellent! Great food and service. Nice staff. Really enjoyed it.
The Yellow House continues to be a hidden gem in Bermondsey/Rotherhithe. The food is excellent, the staff are wonderful and the cocktail list is great too! I moved away from the area a year ago and travel up from Kent about once a month to meet up with friends and enjoy a fabulous meal there. I would happily sit in the bar and wait for my friends to arrive - it's comfortable and welcoming.
Food was fabulous. They were understaffed the night we went so things took a bit long but overall still a great evening
Have been to the surrey quays on numerous occasions and tried most of the eating places in the area. for some reason the outside of this place never attracted me in - what a fool I was not to try it earlier.
All home made food - tomato ketchup and horseradish on the side to die for. We ate on two consecutive days and would have gone the following day if they weren't closing for their summer break. Everything we ate was cooked to perfection and top quality.
Can't wait to visit again when we are next in the area
Fantastic food by Jimmy and fantastic friendly service as always. Starters mains dessert everything tasted top notch, felt like we were dining in Chelsea
Very good service, food was amazing. Had a pizza, cooked to perfection.
Very enjoyable, service was friendly, would definitely go again
We were desperate for a pizza after the cinema and they didn't disappoint. As always, we managed to eat the whole thing and somehow (god knows how) managed to get through a brownie and chocolate truffle. It's brilliant to have such a great place nearby.
Eight of us dined mid week and the restaurant was great in ensuring the attention to detail was offered in the service. The food and cocktails where very well made and very tasty.
Beautifully cooked food, well sourced ingredients, an imaginative menu and attentive service. There is always a warm welcome at this excellent local resturant
I was a bit late noone minded ! Seeing the look on my grandsons face when the candle came in and evryone sang jappy Birthday. He daid bedt burger he had ever had
Four of us needed a restaurant following an event at The Printworks. Not at all familiar with the area, The Yellow House is close by and had good reviews. Our meal there confirmed the good reviews are truly well desrved. Food was beautiful! And lovely service! Only sorry we don’t live close by, it would become a real favourite.
As ever, great home made produce. The spicy chorizo and king prawn pizza is amazing. Not to mention the daily home made puddings!!
Delicious Sunday lunch, with all 5 of us choosing different starters, mains and desserts. All were freshly made, very tasty and faultless. Make sure you leave space for dessert!
Always a wonderful experience at The Yellow House - a real local gem! :)
I know the Yellow House for 6 years and it is always amazing. I am not often there due to the fact of living in a different country but a visit to London is not possible without having food here.
We visit this restaurant every time we are in London. The food is consistently excellent, thanks to the chef, Jaime Foa and his staff. We were greeted on arrival, and shown to our table quickly. Both Jaime and the manager, Robert, circulated among the tables, making sure things were going well, and just chatting. They always remember us too. The Yellow House is a special place!
