About

This eclectic 13 bedroom property feels more like the private residence of an eccentric (& fabulous!) Great Aunt than a hotel – often known as Aunt Wilhelmina. A collaboration between The Zetter Group & Tony Conigliaro (Drinks Factory, 69 Colebrooke Row), the cocktail lounge is a destination in itself. Each recipe features bespoke tinctures, bitters & herbal remedies developed by the bar team in the lab, resulting in the most remarkable cocktail list. Guests are invited to soak up the potent drinks with hearty bites - English cheeses, black pudding Scotch eggs or Lincolnshire pork pies with piccalilli. Stuffed full of oddities, taxidermy & curios, with an open fire crackling in the grate, the relaxed sitting room is equally suited to a lazy afternoon indulging on Afternoon Tea as it is a night of rumbustious revelry. Think dainty sandwiches or savoury pasties with freshly baked scones, light as a feather lemon & elderflower cake, and a moreish salted caramel & apple choux bun.

Catering
Celebrated chef Bruno Loubet has created a menu of small plates and supper bowls that are perfect compliments to Tony's cocktails. Choose from a selection of nibbles, sharing platters or if you're in the mood for heartier fare then we promise the Montgomery Cheddar mac & cheese won't disappoint! End with an upside down Townhouse Cheesecake, or perhaps some Chocolate Fudge for grown ups.

Pre-dinner cocktails were absolutely brilliant. Completely original and great ambiance. Some cocktails even come with a story! I cannot comment on the food as we didn't have any, but for a unique cocktail, in a unique setting, I would highly recommend.

We took some friends to the cocktail lounge on Friday night. Very different surroundings. Could have been a little more substantial with the portions of food but cocktails were super. Service was very friendly and attentive. We all had a great time. Will definitely go back.

We had a lovely time at this place! We were served sandwiches, scones, and pastries with unlimited teas! We were able to try 4 unique teas in one location. NOTE - they only serve tea from 2pm to 5 pm. We made a reservation for 12:30pm and when we arrived we were told they did not receive our reservation. However, they were extremely accommodating and were willingly to serve us a simple afternoon tea that was still delightful!

When we reached there, they notified us that afternoon tea booking needs 24 hours arrangement - so I am not sure if Open table or the restaurant has messed this up terribly.

The Zetter Townhouse is one of my absolute favourite spots in London. Quirky and cozy, brilliant and friendly bartenders and staff. You can either sit in a comfy armchair or up by the bar talking to the bartenders and watch them do their magic. I will come back many times.

We had a really good time in the cocktail bar. The staff were very attentive and the cocktails and the food were delicious and high quality. I would recommend reserving a table as all tables were taken consistently for the 2h we were there.

Short, sharp and interesting. Booked day before, drinks only. Noshed on some bar snacks with drinks. Referenced a birthday and the senior bar person brought over a wee cocktail to sample. Cosy, intimate, classy, not brash or ostentatious. Loved it.

We went for afternoon tea to treat a friend. The place is gorgeous and cosy. The portions, specially the sandwiches were delicious but minute. Perhaps there could be less cake and more savoury. The other option had quite a bad pasty and not much else to remember. We also had some cocktails, one out of three were good. The staff were very attentive though and the surroundings beautiful. Not worth £150+ bill.

Beautifully decorated, very quirky and cozy.
Not as quiet as you may expect.
Most of the staff were very friendly.
Forgot to bring the food we ordered and wrongly charged us for, which was our 2nd choice as the 1st choice they had run out of.
I would return though for the ambience, maybe for an afternoon drink or afternoon tea.

In London on Holiday and wanted a light but well-put together and sophisticated dinner. This spot was incredible. Intimate without being too cramped, and eclectically And idyllically British. Zetter blends casual and high end seamlessly. Holiday cocktails are to die for.

A disappointingly small menu, but the steak was cooked as ordered, even if it had rather a lot of sinew. The triple-cooked chips were well over cooked and not very warm, but the tarragon mayonnaise was excellent.

Zetter Townhouse is an absolute jewel. It is a Hotel also but I only went to the bar. It’s like walking into someone’s beautiful lounge. Absolutely perfect for Xmas. Nice bottle of prosecco for £35 so not too expensive. Do go if in the area

Great ambience and service as usual. Usual and highly delicious cocktails however The bar bites are a little over elaborate and expensive for teeny tiny portions, and it feels like they are trying to cram too many people in so it’s quite cramped. a shame as it’s one of my favourite places in London.
