Theo Randall at the InterContinental
The restaurant is proudly informal and unpretentious, with back-to-basics menu highlights including handmade pasta and wood roasted meat and fish, which in Theo's words is, "A million miles away from the complicated fancy fare you would normally expect to eat in Park Lane".
Since its launch, Theo Randall at the InterContinental has won numerous awards including Best Italian Restaurant of The Year from the London Restaurant Awards, Best Italian/ Mediterranean over £50 in Harden’s 2013, and the highest ranked Italian on the Sunday Times Food List 2013.

Really warm welcome. Food was fantastic. Can’t wait to return
A very fine Italian restaurant. We chose the Regional Tasting Menu, 4 courses with wine pairing. Delicious dishes of food with each dish described alongside the wine to suit. Relax and savor each course.
First class service from a team who obviously enjoy working together.
We are looking forward to our next visit.
Booked the regional Italian meal with wine pairings- got a bit confused as one wine was late and not delivered until after we had finished the course but recovered well with special service from Fernando the sommelier and an extra glass of dessert wine given as compensation
Will return soon
Fantastic food and service, I would recommend this lunch to everyone
The meal was to celebrate our Golden wedding anniversary with our children. We booked the table several months ago and did not realise it was going to be a brunch menu but as our children had arranged an evening surprise we did not change it. There is no atmosphere in the restaurant one reason being the terrible lighting. While the food was delicious the service could have been better we had to ask for top ups for our drinks and for water.
If I’m honest I would say my husband I were disappointed as a visit to Theo Randals restaurant was a treat after we saw him on Saturday kitchen.
Well on my 4th visit now in 6 weeks to Theo’s Totally Amazed of the CONSISTENCY of this restaurant Outstanding and can’t wait for my 5th time 👍👍😋😋
Good food. Courses nicely spaced out. Staff pleasant and attentive but spilled water on the table and walked off. Also forgot the limoncello ordered but served it on the house when we mentioned it. Lacks a bit of atmosphere. Interior not as classy as it looks online. Tried to overcharge by£160. Otherwise good.
This is my 3rd visit in 6 weeks roughly and just booked for the Saturday brunch I think that tells you it’s well worth a visit if you like Italian food it doesn’t get much better than this 👍👍👍👍the staff are outstanding the food is second to none 😋😋all in all one of the best places in London
30 mins to go then I’m trying the brunch can’t wait
The Tuscany tasting menu is beautifully balanced and we enjoyed another evening at Theo Randall at the Intercontinental. Chef Theo was in the kitchen and we were able to have a few words with him. The staff were all friendly and attentive. We eat here every time we stay at the hotel as the food is always tasty, well presented and excellent value.
Second visit to Theo Randall at the InterCont. in last couple of months. This time had seasonal menu which was very good with excellent wine pairings.
Service including the wine sommelier explaining each of the three wines and helping us choose two dessert wines as well was helpful throughout.
Fantastico from start to finish. Service brilliant and food outstanding. Plus meeting Theo himself was a great highlight. A perfect gentleman
You are very obviously dining in a hotel dining room, it doesn’t have the atmosphere of a good, stand alone, restaurant. Service was a bit shambolic and it was hard to tell who did what. These two factors spoilt it for us.
The food was very well prepared, cooked and presented with the best quality ingredients. Theo was in the kitchen.
This is the best Italian restaurant ever. Food amazing, staff efficient, friendly and discreet. Will definitely come again.
The restaurant ambience was very loud and clientele were shouting causing the staff to be too quiet and muffled behind their face masks. The complimentary bruschetta arrived and while eating this the starters arrived . Immediately after the cutlery was placed down the plates were collected and the mains brought too quickly . No request to ask if we were ready. The experience just seems too rushed
Thoroughly enjoyable evening topped of by meeting Theo. What a genuinely nice man. Would revisit again and again.
Really relaxed atmosphere, with staff very attentive to all our needs. Food excellent for myself but husband is a coeliac so was unable to have any of Theo’s famous pasta. However did provide gluten free bread (not homemade however) and able to adapt a la carte menu for him. Ordered a regular negroni which was fabulous, the barman went out of his way to explain the added bitters ingredient when we enquired and then made us a liquor style negroni on the house for the end of our meal. Great way to spend our 35th anniversary.
There was a private party in the restaurant, there was a lot of noise from the guests and children were running around and screaming where we were seated. The food and wine was very good but a little over priced. The noise ruined the evening a little!
Food was good, not great. The cuttlefish with borlotti beans was bland. The lobster tagliatelle was good but not mind-blowing. Desserts were good.
Service: sommelier was excellent.
Atmosphere: very large children’s party next door with young teenagers roaming around swearing and being loud/obnoxious. Should have been warned about this.
Felt very ordinary, no different to a standard hotel restaurant lacking ambience, and sense of occasion.
Food and service were ok but had expected much better.
Great food. Italian refined rustic; good flavours, appetite satisfying portions but with skilful cooking and presentational features and excellent ingredients. We scarcely scratched the surface of the interesting Italian wine list but on very limited evidence the quality is high.
Service was excellent with young staff showing a good level of professionalism but just as importantly enthusiasm and pleasantness.
Of course given the location, aspirations and clientele this isn’t cheap but equally it isn’t stratospheric and we left without any sense of being exploited. It was an excellent meal in a very pleasant environment.
Theo’s regional Italian nights are a delight - and with three matching wines - it’s a snip at the price. Book now before it ends. Great service too.
A very pleasant early supper. Good value friendly and attentive service.
Celebration of wedding anniversary which was much enjoyed.
Wonderful service, amazing food. Faultless! Had a wonderful anniversary meal. Our waitress was so lovely and made us feel so comfortable and welcome.
Second time here and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
The restaurant was very quiet, which was a shame, but that didn’t spoil our enjoyment. The staff are very friendly but professional too as you would expect.
The food was lovely and the drinks flowed throughout - I never had an empty glass.
Amazing value for money. Will definitely come back
I attended with my 2 sisters and we had a great time with delicious food and enjoyed the Proseco which flowed.
We needed to get away in a timely manner which the team facilitated.
We would recommend this brunch deal.
Food delicious; exceptionally good value from the regional menu @ £160 for two for four courses with wine and aperitif. Service a bit hit and miss; staff very friendly but perhaps inexperienced.
Just an amazing experience. And great to see Theo Randall in the kitchen!
Absolutely delicious regional menu with paired wines. Very attentive service and were invited into the kitchen to meet Theo who couldn’t have been nicer. Thoroughly recommend it and will definitely be back!
So amazing the service the wine and least but definitely not last the totally out standing FOOD I’m amazed at the price 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Fantastic service and superb food from the Regional tasting menu. A real bargain.
We had the regional menu (Emilia Romagna), which was absolutely delicious and excellent value for money. A wonderful evening, and we will definitely return.
Every dish was superb and meeting Theo himself was a special treat, I cannot begin to say how good it was. A truly memorable dinner.
We have eaten at this restaurant several times, and it never fails to impress. This years regional menus have been excellent, with wine pairing as well making it great value as well. We will be back in September for the next menu. Also really great to see Theo in the restaurant each time we have been, not just a chef in name only.
Great food and service. There was a bit of confusion regarding the set menu however once it got sorted out everything was very good with food plentiful.
Perhaps service could be a little slower considering the number of courses and the amount of food.
Disappointingly did not live up to the excitement prior to arrival. Not the best dining experience in terms of service. Jackets weren’t taken on arrival, numerous different waiters throughout, lent across when receiving/taking dishes, water mostly neglected and sat at a wonky table with the waiters tickets stuffed underneath to level it out with no offer to move.
Food was mostly delicious, HOWEVER the elastic band found in the starter made for a very dangerous and unwanted birthday present which sadly tainted the whole evening as well as the rest of the meal and made our whole experience pretty disastrous.
We just had a fantastic evening. The food was outstanding and the staff were friendly, professional and more than happy to help with advice and wine pairing. I can’t recommend it enough
Lovely m al you could taste the quality of the food
Lovely meal, great, helpful staff, excellent value. What more can I say!
Every aspect of the evening was excellent, you could t fault.
