Theo Randall at the InterContinental
The restaurant is proudly informal and unpretentious, with back-to-basics menu highlights including handmade pasta and wood roasted meat and fish, which in Theo's words is, "A million miles away from the complicated fancy fare you would normally expect to eat in Park Lane".
Since its launch, Theo Randall at the InterContinental has won numerous awards including Best Italian Restaurant of The Year from the London Restaurant Awards, Best Italian/ Mediterranean over £50 in Harden’s 2013, and the highest ranked Italian on the Sunday Times Food List 2013.

Great food. Fantastic staff. Nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. Don’t hesitate to book. We will be back. Thank you.
Very good experience . Ambience a little noisy - acoustics
Was very overpriced for the quality of food.
Delicious food and wine. Great service. I’m still salivating over the amazing dessert!
A great experience to celebrate our daughter's birthday. Excellent surroundings, service and food. Great value for money. We'll certainly be back!
The food was delicious and portions were generous. However, it did not have the presentation we would expect from a restaurant of this calibre, which is a shame because everything else was pretty perfect. Service was fantastic
It was a hit and miss experience overall. No one answered the phone when I tried to inform them several times for about half an hour that we were running late due to traffic. Although I booked the table a week ago, we were given the table literally right by the entrance, with constant traffic of people by our table. The waiter who serves wine keeps pouring after your every sip, which meant our bottle was empty between the two of us even before our mains arrived - that were also late. Ambiance is early 00s mid-tier business hotel vibe, and lacks both character and today's modern design sense. I don't think I'll be back again.
First meal out in over a year and we were pleased to come and try the Umbrian 4 course tasting menu with accompanying wine. All 4 courses were delicious. Difficult to chose one favourite course but if pushed, I would say Tagliatelle alla Norcia. Staff were also very friendly. Highly recommend coming here.
Great evening all round. The Set Menu is such amazingly good value and delicious. Homemade Focaccia and Bruschetta were tasty and moorish. Sebastian was the perfect balance of friendly, attentive and professional. Cannot wait to return. Will try the regional menus next time.
Great welcome and swiftly shown to our table. Great service throughout the evening. We chose the 4 course menu with wine pairing, food was delicious as were the wines. Very attentive wait staff without being obtrusive. Will definitely recommend and will return
We came here for Saturday brunch. The atmosphere had a real buzz and energy. The buffet starters were delicious; so fresh and full of flavour and a great variety to choose from. The mushroom risotto was delicious. My husband had pork for his main course and I had the cheese soufflé. The meal finished with an assortment of desserts. The Amalfi lemon tart was to die for as was the Panna Cotta.
There was bottomless Prosecco, Negroni or Aperol Spritz to have throughout the meal. The staff were amazing and very attentive. Great afternoon and I look forward to going back.
My wife & I had an outstanding 3 course meal from the a la carte menu. All dishes were delicious and faultless in particular the guinea fowl. Theo’s restaurant is strongly recommended.
Had the Regional Tasting Menu. 4 courses, good portions, plus 3 glasses of different wine to pair with the dish. Great food and exceptional value at £65pp
We had the regional tasting menu, superb food and service and just a lovely relaxed evening. Thank you!
A nice modern room with great Italian food. The wine matched regional menu was fantastic and good value
We had an excellent night with great food and service. Thank you to all at Theo's for making this a special evening for us.
We have been going Theo Randall at the InterContinental since 2017. It has never disappoint despite the staff changes. As usual the food is wonderful and long may it continue.
Perfect birthday celebration at Theo Randall’s…our welcome was a bit bizarre as no one came to attend us and we didn’t know how the buffet worked. After that things got a lot better however service was slow throughout…kept being told it was the busiest its ever been! Food was delicious and the drinks were truly bottomless although I think they should be monitoring the table to top u up vs u having to attract a waiters attention. Anyway…all in all a nice experience but hope they sort out the staffing issues…
Was great to meet Theo
Another superb meal at Theo Randall. The dishes from the A la Carte menu were tasty, well presented and well prepared. The
Cheese soufflé starter was amazing- this dish deserves a 5* rating all of its own! The staff are working well together and genuinely pleased to welcome back familiar faces. Looking forward already to our next visit.
We loved the tasting menu and the wine pairing was awesome. Only slight suggestion would be to give a bit more wine surving to perhaps large volumes and happy to pay extra. Everything was fantastic and cannot wait to come over again. Thanks
The service and food was spot on 1st time....well done
We often go to Theo Randall restaurant. The food is fantastic(I had the special menu inspired by the Umbria Region) and my wife I had the seafood risotto with the usual focaccia and salumi as antipasto. We are always happy when we are there and the staff is amazing and caring. Special thanks to Dorina who always treats us with a great care👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Booked tasting menu with wine pairing as a birthday meal, and was called the day before to confirm - conversation included 'no beef', it's a birthday meal, and we're having the tasting menu.
Not impressed after being seated to be told that due to 2 of the tasting menu courses containing beef, they can't or won't offer a substitute.
A la carte food was good, and the birthday cake was a lovely touch.
Also, fellow diners making video calls on their phones with no headphones does not make for a pleasant ambience.
As good as you get in Italy is a well-worn, if true, cliché about Randall's food. However, happy to confirm it is specifically true in the case of the Umbria regional tasting menu. Having visited Umbria recently the comparison is certainly accurate. The first course of cold beef with pine nuts was perhaps the star, but the sausage pasta and beef with lentils were also divine, and the Umbrian cake was running the first course close for stardom ... a perfect blend of fruity, light and sweet but not too sweet. The tasting menu is also something of a bargain for this restaurant, given three decent sized glasses of wine. None of them Umbrian as far as I could tell, which was a mild disappointment, but the choices were impeccable and spot-on matches. The service was remarkably on the ball considering how full the room was this Saturday evening; the staff took adequate time to explain each glass. Based on the tasting menu, the top rating for value is justified for such quality, I think, even though prices for water, cocktails etc are steep. The cocktails are top notch it must be said, and I was happy enough to give back some of the saving by having two or three!
We went to Theo Randall's a few years ago and it was outstanding but the whole experience on Friday was even beyond that.We both had the regional menu and the wine pairing was amazing particularly the pasta course.Well done everyone for making the evening memorable.
My wife and I had a wonderful meal to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary.
The food and wine were excellent and the service was first class from the moment we arrived, and to add to our celebration we were invited to meet Theo Randall in his kitchen who was absolutely charming. This made our celebration extra special and one we will remember for ever.
Amazing food, lovely service who go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcome. A few more vegetarian options would be good, but other than that, can't fault it!
The meal was good value for money
, staff attentive and it was a good evening
Simply divine, excellent food, super staff, top location.
Service was a little slow from when we arrived however once we had sat down our waitress was excellent. The regional taster menu was brill, again.
Fantastic food, wine and service
What an amazing evening. The whole experience was fabulous from start to finish - along with the opportunity to meet Chef Theo in the kitchen.
Great birthday celebration meal for my husband. Even got to meet Theo-top guy!
Tried the regional menu, with wine. Every dish was delicious, you could taste the listed ingredients and the flavours worked so well together. Great service, bustling on a Saturday night but not overwhelming. Well spaced tables.
Really enjoyed the food and the service was exceptional but strongly disliked how close the tables were. Was a real tight squeeze to fit through the gaps in the tables just to take a seat. Was impossible to have a conversation with my wife without the tables next to us hearing. Made it a really uncomfortable meal.
We had the brunch menu and it was superb and excellent value for money. Can’t wait to go back soon.
Great food, great service and a lovely ambience for a casual lunch.
We'll go again!
A fabulous and memorable evening, tho food is outstanding, the service is perfect and the staff are warm and make you feel so special. To complete a great night we met Theo in the kitchen, what lovely man, he has time to talk about the food and answer any questions.
Fantastic food and service, and great to meet the team
Look forward to coming back
