From the minute you enter the hushed loveliness that is Theo Randall’s restaurant to when you leave, full to bursting having eaten the most delicious food, the experience is one that you will want to repeat again and again.
The staff are lovely, attentive, but not overly so. The food is just sublime.
I think this is my favourite restaurant in London. I have never had a bad or even mediocre experience. It is always fabulous!
Probably best Italian food I have had in the UK at Theo Randall. We were on a set menu but plenty of choice, excellent value. The staff were friendly and the restaurant had a great atmosphere without being noisy or overcrowded on a Friday night.
Service at Theo Randall is beyond good. Always a great pleasure to go for dinner there.

Great food and fantastic value for set menu with half bottle of very good white wine.
This last meal was a significant step down from the previous three times. We’ve loved all of those past three.
Food-wise, the mushroom risotto was a fair bit too salty and the ricotta cheesecake came with tonnes of raisins which was not advertised and my partner dislikes.
Service-wise, the sommelier didn’t quite seem to understand that I just wanted to finish my glass of champagne before trying the red. So we then didn’t see him again until we had to wait a good ten minutes after our first bottle of wine was finished to get another, which then didn’t arrive quite in time for the mains.
So the whole experience was still ok but when you’re paying that sort of money, you really expect better and we probably wouldn’t go again.
Having travelled from EDINBURGH to celebrate a birthday, it was well worth the effort.
Food was fabulous the Amouse Bouche of bruschetta was outstanding - best ever. We chose the baked cheese soufflé & Cappelletti di vitello as starters which were super tasty, mains of lobster linguine and the turbot which were both delicious and desserts of lemon tart and panacotta, which just finished off a beautiful meal.
Lovely atmosphere lots of chatter and ambience which was good as there is nothing worse than a restaurant where you’re afraid to talk.
Wine prices very reasonable and a good choice with the sommelier advising on what goes best with dishes.
Our server was excellent, unfortunately I can’t recall her name but she was very attentive without being intrusive.
All in all we had a fabulous time.
Good quality ingredients in interesting dishes (with some familiar amongst them). Service was a little slow, and not quite as slick as would expect.
This is our favourite restaurant and it's convenient for us as we live in Kensington. Been to this restaurants many times. The food is just outstanding matched by the service. Our friends and guests from overseas also loved the restaurant.
A couple of colleagues and I went into the restaurant last week. The food was excellent and service good. Location is good for Mayfair and West End.

Beautiful restaurant with great ambience. We felt very welcomed from arrival and the service was superb, relaxed and friendly.
We were a group of friends and tried the 'set menu', which I thought it has fantastic value. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The mozzarella with roasted peppers was amazing. The mixed salad had a delicate dressing and was refreshing. The table was split on the orata and lamb, but both dishes were winners. Everyone loved the desserts. The added half a bottle of wine per person was an extra bonus!
Theo Randall at the intercontinental is a firm favourite. Great food, service, value and ambience. Set Menu is a winner .. book it!
We had a lovely meal at this restaurant it was our first visit. We both had the Sea Trout as a main course it was excellent very meaty and well cooked. My wife had the salad starter and i had the thin sliced Fillet of angus beef it was delicious. It was a very relaxed evening did not feel at all rushed and we will certainly visit again.
As on previous visits everything was of the highest standard you could expect - will visit again next time we are in London.
A wonderful birthday lunch for my husband although we arrived for our booking and the restaurant was empty. However, the service and the food were excellent. Despite a mix up on one course, which was rectified immediately, we couldn’t have received any better service. Only one dish was a little disappointing- the lamb for main course - but the rest of the dishes more than made up for it. The ravioli was the stand out for me and my husband loved the risotto and the sea bream. The minestrone soup was a revelation. Would definitely eat there again.
A fantastic experience. Great food is a lovely setting, we really enjoyed our meal. Can’t wait to come back!

Came here with a friend. Asked to move tables as we had been placed in a very dark spot indeed. Almost impossible to read the menu for that reason. We ordered tap water and were duly brought a glass each. No jug left on the table so that we could help ourselves-it’s not allowed apparently. Service was great, apart from when we the needed to get attention to fill our water glasses-such a pity that this spoiled it a bit for us. We would have liked table cloths for a more formal atmosphere which we were expecting. That said, we came for the food and it was fabulous, all courses tasty and well presented. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would go back.
Booked for dinner on a Monday evening and expected it to be quieter but there was a group function in the room next to the restaurant. We asked to move tables as the noise was so bad that we could barely hear each other. This was accommodated but could have been difficult on a busier night. Our waiter didn’t instil great confidence in his knowledge of food allergies and intolerances (confusing lactose for gluten) but the other staff were much better. Ordered the special - 3 courses for £35 - food was tasty and quite rich, but nothing that was especially memorable or having a wow factor. Would have been disappointed if we’d paid a la carte prices.
We had the most perfect evening that we could have wished for.
Another good meal altogether, service was a slight let down this time around. But waiter looked rushed off their feet. But set menu is always great value and food is great!
What a wonderful evening. Superb food and the man himself came and spoke to us after we were invited into the kitchen. As my roots are from Puglia I was thrilled with the food and to hear of Theo’s love of Southern Italy. Great food, level of service and can’t wait to return.
We had a lovely lunch. The 3 course lunchtime menu with a glass of prosecco at £35.00 a head was great value and delicious. Perhaps because it was a bank holiday and a bit quiet, the staff whilst very nice were a bit over attentive which felt intrusive but when I had a look at the from the chiefs table at the view of the kitchen one of the waiters was very helpful and took the time to explain the areas and functions of the kitchen. We will definitely return and recommend

For an acclaimed menu, it was not imaginative. The fontina souffle appetizer was best item. Lamb chop had to be very old lamb - or poorly cooked - as very tough despite rare cook temp.
Service was dreadful - asked five times for allergies so felt like in hospital! Over 15 minutes to bring wine list then another 15 minutes to actually get order placed. Plates were being cleared before both parties done with courses. We actually asked - and received without fuss! - removal of all gratuity added.
This is one of our regular restaurants. We go every 3 or 4 months. We just loved the food and the service. Although the restaurant was busy, we were well looked after.

Our second visit to the restaurant and even better than our first experience. Probably some of the best food I have ever had - the wood roasted guinea fowl being the highlight! Overall ambience was nice if on a fairly quiet Thursday night. We went for the £35 three course menu which offered great variety and I feel a good value way to sample some high class food. This also gave a half-bottle carafe of wine each - great for us as my wife doesn’t drink red wine. These were in the form of a Nero D’avala and a decent Trebbiano - very acceptable house wine options. Some interesting cocktail choices with the “mix your own Negroni” being a nice option. Service was great, if a little over-attentive at times but I guess that’s what you get with Michelin star places. Staff were however exceptionally knowledgeable and I had a great chat about wine with the sommelier. An overall great experience - we will definitely go back for more!
The poor service made what could have been a pleasant evening, an uncomfortable one. Choosing the three course set menu seemed to mean that my husband and I were treated as second class citizens compared to those eating from the al a crate menu. We were largely ignored, so much so that I had to ask twice for our wine which finally arrived after we had finished our starter. The restaurant was not busy and there were adequate staff but they seemed more interested in talking to other diners. In response to a simple and valid question, I received an answer that was condescending and patronising. The starters were unexceptional and appeared to have been plated up in advance and refrigerated which meant that they were not as flavoursome as they should have been. I was underwhelmed by the food, from a chef with such a good reputation. I have wanted to eat here for a long time and I was sadly disappointed.
Fantastic flavours from starter to dessert, the dessert wine flight to compliment the selection of desserts was well chosen and was a great way to finish off the evening
This restaurant is a favourite. The staff are very welcoming and the service is good. The food and wine are superb. I will continue to go there on my visits to London and recommend it to friends.

All the food was excellent. The restaurant is beautiful and relaxed. My only small complaint was the service was slightly slow. Everyone extremely friendly and polite though.
