Great, quiet, spot in a west end location that's convenient for meeting up with others but also discreet.
Ali was our waiter, very kind and welcoming! The food was amazing (salmon was so fresh and smooth)! The carrot cake was one for the books as well, interior is really calming and beautifully made as well!
When I do afternoon tea, I have very low expectation for the taste. Because they usually look good in pictures but taste so-so. Thomas’s sandwiches are brilliant especially the salmon one. Pastries are on the sweeter side to my liking. Overall experience was very pleasant!
Great place with a beautiful decoration and staff were really polite and awesome service as the food. Only downside is that I was with my 2 months baby and had to change her nappy on my lap as they don’t have baby change.
Good breakfast and bwey handy spot. Oddly impersonal atmosphere although service veey good.
Very nice place and food, just a bit surprised that the service charge is 13%.
you must try this when in London!!!!!
best food i had last week, went there 2 times ;)
Started out with absolutely wonderful service then after dessert she disappeared. The food was delicious I had eggs Benedict. My daughter had the mushroom toast and she loved it. My reagents fizz was also good.
We visited Thomas' for the first time on Monday and there were several things that didn't go right. Firstly, I had to get up and walk to the staff on various occasions to ask for things like tea refill and water. Secondly, we waited a very long time for our cakes to arrive (we ordered afternoon tea for three people). The staffs seemed inexperienced and it really showed. When the food was brought to our table our server did not introduce any of the cakes or sandwiches. We felt neglected and although the staffs were not rude they didn't appear professional as they kept on hanging around by the bar and we certainly felt that we had to hunt them for service. All in all it wasn't a good experience and it was also my sister's birthday, which was noted by the chap who welcomed us at the entrance but if wasn't followed through upstairs at the restaurant.
What a delightful spot to get away from the shopping crowds.
Good for a quick snack whilst shopping.
Suggest they do a house Welsh Rarebit.
My friend and I visited for breakfast. Excellent food and service outstanding. Our waiter went out of the way to meet our requests. The Christmas decorations were rather understated but this didn’t detract from our dining experience. The menu was varied & had excellent choices to suit all appetites and palates. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
I love everything about this place, the ambience, service, interior, light and the food - everything is delicious.
Lovely venue and location.
Really tasty coffee and breakfast - and easily adapted to cater for vegan options.
Nice place to come alone and work as some buzz but not too loud or to meet with clients / friends.
Fantastic brunch. Lovely attentive service. Fryer had broke but staff were honest and made suggestions for alternatives. Lovely lunch.
Pretty nice, really like this cozy placr
Very relaxing lunch stayed there over 2 hrs no rushing superb food and great friendly service
Very friendly, fast and helpful staff. The food was great and it was worth the price but the ambiance could be improved (maybe with music) because it is really quiet in the restaurant. It has a beautiful location but they could use pillows on the chairs. To summarize we had a great breakfast and there are only small things that could be improved.
I was really looking forward to my visit, however I was very dissapointed at the lack of. Service provided , firstly we were not greeted as we entered and having never visited before, I didn’t know there was seating upstairs and had to flag someone down for assistance. Then when our waiter came to our table he asked us which language he would like to address us in and I said English was fine, then when I asked him about the sandwich selection for afternoon tea, I made him aware it would only be vegetarian and fish that would be suitable options, he said to us basically in a nut shell that afternoon tea would not be suitable for us as there aren’t that many options, I said can we not just double up on an veg or fish options you have he said that was fine, I shouldn’t have had to make that suggestion, and I could have decided at that moment to walk out seeing as though I was made to feel there would be nothing suitable for me there. Then my friend said do you serve anything ‘halal’ he said oh no we don’t, and that he himself ate halal meet but didn’t see the big deal with just eating chicken anyway, now even though I wasn’t Personally offended by this I was actually quite annoyed because his personal opinions on my faith and what I choose to consume are not relevant and he is there to cater to my needs and pallet. I am very suprised that with the amount of Arab clientele you receive that Muslim people would be made to feel inadequate. I think this is something that staff need training on, everyone’s level of faith differs if I was a more orthodox Muslim I could have made a serious complaint.
Attentive service and an easy menu, only spoilt my the noise level of chairs scraping across the floor. Surely something could be applied to them so they don't make such a cacophony.
Loved the sweet potato falafel
The service is really good, amazing value for afternoon tea.
Great service and attention to client is a priority. Definitely when I am back to London I will Cosme back to Thomas Café. We have a English Tea Afternoon and it was beyond expected.
The staff was very friendly and attentive. I enjoyed my time there and would like to visit soon again.
Oh dear, we had the duck and it was cold, so was the mashed potato and vegetables - it was so awful we had to send it back - the poor server felt awful for us. In the end they didn’t charge us and gave me a lovely birthday cake - we’ll be back for coffee and cake, but not for a meal
A gorgeous, elegant dining-room above the more rustic cafe, bathed in light from large windows.
A good menu from British ingredients included a large, hearty Chicken Salad and generous grilled half lobster.
Delicious sourdough bread was served lightly toasted and service was highly professional and welcoming.
Excellent as always!
Booked a table through OpenTable but they didn't have my reservation on their system, luckily they squeezed me in
Exellent experience with quality food
Despite not being full for lunch the maitre d'was unable to seat us upstairs.
Good food and service for lunch in London. Tasty but not too much for me. Salmon is fresh not to my expectations.
Great cafe for a break from shopping on Regent Street or Bond Street. The staff are unusually knowledgeable about the teas and the selection of cakes is excellent!
We went for afternoon tea for a graduation celebration only to be told they’d run out or afternoon tea. I had spoken to someone there earlier in the day to confirm our reservation, but after we had been seated and waiting 15 minutes for service we were told AT was sold out, but that we could have something from the cake trolley and crumpets as a substitution. This was an inadequate suggestion.
Great place to recuperate from a day shopping on Bond Street. Delicious iced latte with almond milk! The quail eggs with celery salt were the perfect savoury snack and there’s also a great selection of cakes.
Peaceful, professional and a truly lovely meal
I'm truly impressed by the kindness of the staffs, and the scone of Afternoon is very good. Excellent!! I really appreciate it.
