Just off Regent Street. Limited menu. Ideal for a light lunch etc. Ideal to spend around an hour at Thomas's over a meal.
Only one bathroom was available on the First Floor.
All perfect welcoming staff, nice ambiance and delicious food and wine - a lovely Friday lunch
We've been Thomas's a few times as we liked the food and calm atmosphere, just a few steps from Regent St. This time we seated upstairs, just as nice as downstairs but the staff seemed to have too much to cover and the service was not as attentive as usual. They were apologetic but I felt they needed some more support.
Good quality, decoration, ambiance with the small fire. We went two consecutive days for breakfast, first day we ate bigger plates, second day only coffee and crumpets. All the plates were very good. Cakes look delicious and coffee is really good.
The deserts are super sweet for us. But scones are warm and delicious!!
I was really glad that your staff were very kind and explained slowly. So I was satisfied a lot.
Thank you so much.
Only 2 staffs were serving , had to wait 5 mins to be seated.
Cakes were not nice, sandwiches were not fresh.
Scones are standard but the strawberry jam is good.
Half the order that was given to the member of staff, they never actually ordered for us. We then asked for refills for our tea, and the teapot was taken, but just given back to tje kitchen. I had to go and ask for the tea again.
The place is nice, but the staff do not seem to be able to cope with very minimal direction or tables to manage.
We wont be back.
The atmosphere was very pleasant and quiet enough to have a conversation. The decor was beautiful. The waitress was very good. The main course( sea bass) was very good. There could have been some lighter deserts. But over all a very good lunch was had by all.
Amazing service, good food, and incredible place. Love everything.
I come to Thomas's regularly. The staff always recognise me and the service (and more importantly the food!) never disappoints.
Outstanding service and food in a lovely building
Excellent service, delicious food - loved the Afternoon Tea experience, it was the perfect understated and elegant way to enjoy tea.
Lovely Afternoon tea would recommend everyone to try. Staff are welcoming and attentive.
I like Thomas's because the noise level is low and possible to have a good conversation quietly. Décor is lovely. Food is well executed and we enjoyed it. Service was fine but not outstanding. I would go back. Try the café too.
A beautiful elegant moment of tranquility. The food is perfection and beautifully presented. (Truffle crisps are sublime!)
Nice place, good service, good atmosphere..........
Excellent service et présentation. Les plats étaient délicieux et entièrement bio.
Staffs were really nice and polite. Especially the young gentleman from brazil that greet us. Food was beautifully prepared and tastes yum
I enjoyed the food and the service was impeccable. I had lamb which was beautifully cooked but the plate could have been a little warmer.
Had an absolutely lovely tea for pancake day. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Prices were very reasonable for such a nice place. Have already recommended and will be returning.
Delicious food and lovely room - a good place for lunch while shopping
The salad I had was just okay. What was really appalling about Thomas' cafe is the fact that I was unable to pack up my leftovers even though they had to-go boxes for their cakes. One of my greatest vices is food waste as it's a huge contributer to GHG emissions. They said taking food away was against their policy because they couldn't gaurantee the quality of the food once it left its premises (but what abot the cakes?). I will not be going back. Thomas' is part of the Burberry stores and the company is meant to be highly ranked for its sustainability policies. Their environmental ethos need to extend to the Cafe as well.
Beautiful building, decor and generally a beautiful place to be. Could have one or two more vegetarian options on the lunch menu, maybe.
I will be back soon to try the afternoon tea
Terrible service, they had clearly not checked the incoming reservation and did not have a table. Servers are not trained well - don’t know how to accommodate guests. Went for afternoon tea/business meeting but will not go again.
The service was very poor. They got our food order wrong, our drinks were wrong, we kept asking for water and it didn't come and then we had to ask for our bill 3 times.
Wonderful service, great food, and beautiful ambiance!
Great location, venue, menu and value.
I have already advised friends
Very pretty area for afternoon tea. My girlfriend and I had the upstairs all to ourselves for our late afternoon tea. The room was very neat and the ambiance was great, sitting by a window overlooking the streets below. The assortment of teas and food was great as well as the service. Overall, good experience.
Wonderful afternoon tea set. Must try.
Great and welcoming service
Excellent service and beautifully cooked food in the most stunning building. We love the atmosphere and the simple elegance of the food and decor. The service and friendliness of management and staff is a joy. A great place to meet friends for brunch ... an oasis of stylish calm just off Regent Steet. I recommend the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and sour dough toast which the chef takes to another level add fresh pink grapefruit juice and a pot of English Brrakfast Tea. Sit by the fire in winter. Divine!
The service was bad! They just prepare us a table upstairs and we are the only one, not even a waiter, we waited 10 minuets for a waiter to come, so we asked to be transfer down so we can be noticed! We did and we waited 5 more minuets for our order to be taken, then they bring our order wrong and missed and late all in one dining, there was an incident that i did not like nor understand; when we ordered the scones, the waiter said its not available, and at the same time i heard other people orders scones and the waiters confirm the order and brought the scones to their table, i asked another water “as a test”to add scones to our table, so he confirmed and when he went to our first waiter became mad and i overheard him saying “why you took their order, go back to them and cancel it” i was like why though!!!! It shows that i was mad, and then they disappear, when I asked for the check, another waiter came and said we removed the drinks and its on the house!
Did not like my experience at all!
Relaxed atmosphere, not loud or overly busy which is nice. The waiter was attentive and helpful and the portion sizes were enough.
Great atmosphere, not too loud and doesn’t feel too busy or rushed, very relaxed. The right portion sizes.
Lovely food, great value
Poor service. We booked a table but it wasn’t ready for 15 minutes. The brunch took a long time to get ready, the seating was bad quality. We were treated badly because of our student appearance. Our coats were not taken to the cloakroom, we were not asked which table we preferred but were seated in the worst one even though we were the first ones there. Would not recommend if you are just visiting London it’s not a worthwhile visit if you are not a regular client.
Stylish place for a casual or business breakfast, the full english was divine and service with a smile. Highly recommend.
Really tasty menu, very attentive staff and great value for money. Casual yet elegant atmosphere
I had such a lovely time at Thomas’s. The food was spectacular, the setting was beautiful and the service was second to none.
We had afternoon tea which was so yummy. The presentation was breathtaking and there were some interesting twists on tradition. I would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back for brunch next time.
After seeing this cafe all over Instagram, we thought we would give it a try. We were quite underwhelmed in the end. The staff are very attentive and friendly. However, the drinks took ages and the coffees weren’t hot. Then we ordered cakes which didn’t arrive till some time after the coffee and had been forgotten I am sure. One of the cakes we had was delicious, packed with pistachios. The cafe itself looked lovely but we were sat near the door and there was a fair amount of bustle at the front door and felt like sitting in a foyer. I had envisaged a different space which Ithink must be the upstairs dining area. There was a nice table at the back which was next to a fireplace if you’re a larger party.
All in all I would say this is style over substance which is disappointing given it’s a great location for a mid shopping stop.
