Appalling!!!!! Had rubbish table even though we had booked. Chased them for a menu then finally ordered requesting garlic bread with our mains...received black garlic bread but no mains! Waited another 40 mins before asking where our mains were only to be told it wasn't going to be possible. While all this was going on, countless meals were being served to the back room. Thanks tiger tiger I guess we weren't important enough
Absolutely disaster! Got there table was ready, then asked for menu's to be told no we couldn't have food, although they was advertising food,
As we booked with open table & not the club itself. After complaining, they allowed us to have food, which was very nice, we all enjoyed. My friend went to the bar for conqtour they had put triple sec in the bottle so it's wasn't the real liquor. Which when complained they gave her a refund.
We'd just ate our food, we was asked to leave the table as it was booked out for another party. With in the 2 hours we was there we'd roughly spent between us about £500.
I asked for the manager, her Name was Nicola, I showed her the email, which it never stated I only had the table for a few hours, she blamed open table, not putting in they email. She wasn't sorry at all, club was quite she didn't offer us any other tables, absolutely ruined my birthday, that's what we was out for, made us so un welcome towards the end, because we complained. Also the was no draught pumps working they was charging over £5 for a bottle lager, which was half pint. Said the wasn't having them fixed either.
The club is absolute joke! I would never return there again. Management is waste time, need to go on customer service course, how to run a business.
I'm a Manager in retail, run quite a few stores, if I had treated any customer like this, I would be looking for a new job, so unprofessional, o hope you take my comments on board.
We were turned away on arrival as they were fully booked! Not happy when we’d walked a long way to get there.
Sadly the booking was not honoured as they left a message to say that they could accommodate us after all! I phoned several times to try and sort this out but no one got back to me to confirm. As they cancelled late we were unable to find another restaurant who could accommodate us so we had to cancel our plans.
Person at the door said they did not have our booking and said they did not like working with Opentable. Took more than an hour and a half for our burgers to arrive.
WOW! As bad as it gets, party of six of us and the main comments provided by the group. Disgusting, awful, shameful, will never eat here again, lets just leave, I've had enough of waiting.
So we arrived at 1.30pm and order taken in the first ten minutes. After 50 minutes of waiting and no starter we complained, told very few people in the kitchen which would explain no food coming out. They said we could have 50% off the bill which we accepted. Another 40 minutes went by and we got some of our main courses, then 10 minutes later the starters. The fish & Chips advertised was had by two of the group, it was Findus Fish, all grey and horrible (sent it back and taken off the bill), the Nachos was just some corn chips with a little bit of cheese on top, awful.
It was so bad and I will never step foot in a Tiger Tiger again.
Probably the worst meal I’ve had. And the worst cocktail, served in plastic glass, full of ice and completely watered down mojito. Would not go back
Food was disgusting!! Was not told on arrival we had to leave our table @ 5 as it was booked out to someone else 😡
Cocktails and bar staff was lovely 🍸🍸😊
Turned up with my 17 yr old son only to be asked if he had id. I said no as we are only booked for a meal. The doorman called the manager over & he asked if i’d already booked to which I said yes. He quite begrudgingly showed us to a table & said that “we’d have to leave as soon as we finished the meal”. Their policy on opentable clearly states that u18’s have to be gone by 7:30pm - our table was booked at 4:15pm!
The food was poor but fortunately opentable provided me with a voucher for 50% discount. Even with that it was still too much!
Didn’t feel valued as a customer as they couldn’t wait to get rid of us.
First and last time I will visit there. Very poor.
Food and drink was lovely. Service wasn't that great, even though it wasn't busy in there, the service was very slow.
my main issue, is that even though I booked a table through open table for this occasion, they could not find my booking anywhere - it was not recorded at all. Luckily it wasn't busy or they wouldn't of been able to give us a table. Communication errors?
Sadly the admission policy was not clear to see. We booked a table for 8 people at 4:30pm on a Saturday afternoon. The Doormen refused entry to my 15 yr old son and his 13 yr old cousin. The admissions policy I could find said under 18’s had to leave the restaurant by 19:30. The doormen wanted ID for my son - I wasn’t aware that One was required. Definitely not a family friendly venue. Will not be booking again.
Good service, food was nice and drinks 2 for 1. Very nice.
Considering our booking was not on their booking sheet!! The manager looked after us straight away and gave us a table. We got drinks from the bar and the barman was friendly and quick. The only thing was when we wanted to pay their was no one around to give the money too!! Luckily we are honest and waited but it would have been very easy to just walk out!!!
A good night though, thank you tiger tiger
When arrived ignored by door staff, asked at the bar about our table and we were taken back to the door staff. Our table was then booked under the wrong name. When shown to our table it was dirty and not probably set up. It took 20 minutes for someone to come and see us, then we ordered drinks, starters and mains. The one drink order was missing a key ingredient and then took about 20 minutes to be rectified. Once brought back over there was a fly in the bottom of the drink. Our mains were then brought before our starters & when we explained we should have had starters the mains were left on the table whilst they 'sorted it out'. We never did get out starters.
Just ok, we were a group of 7 friends who wanted somewhere to eat before watching a performance at nearby St Davids Hall. It was a busy night so they refused to take drinks orders at table, so we had to queue at a busy bar where staff didn't know what a shandy was?!?!
Food was cheap but nothing special i.e. basic burgers, steak etc but tasted ok.
Overall I think this is a drinking place and food/service a poor cousin, but that said food was ok.
Although the staff were friendly, the presentation of some cocktails ordered for eg martini didn't come in the correct glass, the food was tasteless and when tried to tell the staff they wouldn't take us seriously and kept thinking we were joking!!!!
Was alright but is definitely more of a club than a restaurant. Food was subpar and we were ignored for nearly an hour after we got the bill. Only thing we would recommend for was the cocktails
We were a party of 7 when we arrived we Complained about area we were sat as we requested a good viewing area for the Wales v's England game we were in the corner forcing half of us to watch on smaller t.v but nothing done , 3 of us couldn't eat cold over cooked starters but nothing done one of the tables was broken and was told to turn it around in opposite direction then a pitcher of drink was spilled due to table toppling to one side and family member caught their finger , when telling the gentleman who we paid with he was going to investigate this and email but am still waiting.
I have booked tiger tiger a few times before but this will be the last time.
The burger was a terrible 1 star affair and the coleslaw was much worse but what was surprising was how bad the beer tasted. This is a bar predominantly after all, but it was bordering on the undrinkable! We only went as all other restaurants in Cardiff were fully booked prior to a World Cup rugby game but I wish I'd just bought a sandwich from the supermarket.
on arrival at the restaurant i was told that the kitchen was closed. a bit disappointed as there had been no prior contact made to advise me
Pre-booked table for 7.30 after the Ashes test - with my son who is 22 - they asked for ID which meant a trek back to hotel and I thought rather unnecessary as he looks mid twenties and the place was full of younger people and not all were asked for ID while I waited for him to return.
Once sorted, table was good - music very loud - steak and Lobster main very good. Service was pretty good but as they got busier you had to wave a bit - used to London and its urgency I guess.
Overall good experience if only they could have been a bit more polite about the ID issue.
Not to be repeated. Lost booking. Pretty bad experience although it was a match (rugby) day, so can't be considered normal...
We came here for a birthday meal for friends. Service was all over the place and seemed like there was no communitcation between hostess/waitress. Considering there was only a few tables in the "restaurant" area they seemed to be finding it difficult.
Most of the meals were ok however the vegetarian curry was a disgrace!!! Its was only onions and peppers in a watery sauce. If at a proper restaurant i would of 100% sent it back but as noone asked i just left it.
There are some serious issues with the "restaurant" part of this establishment
The restaurant had no record of our booking, food was less than average.
Friends and I booked Tiger Tiger after a rugby International. It was a great choice. A booked table meant no queue to get in and drinks as well as food ordered from table. There was a great atmosphere and fun had by all!
Really enjoyable afternoon with my mum. Nothing was to much trouble for our happy, pleasant waitress. Had a 50% voucher with me too, so our two course with drinks came to £23. The food was superbly presented and very tasty. Very pleased, thank you .
We pre booked an alcove table for a pre theatre meal and drinks for a group of 50+ woman and we all thoroughly enjoyed it here. The service was very good considering how busy it was and the waitress was very pleasant and bubbly. The food was very good, I had the salmon which was delicious, and the steak was very good too, the only criticism was it could have been a slightly larger portion, it wouldn't have been sufficient for a man's appetite.A great atmosphere and would certainly return.
Tiger Tiger, Cardiff has young friendly staff. Efficient service. Half price drinks between 5 and 9 were good value. Toilets were clean but lack of tissue paper and broken hand driers a disappointment.
Good honest food with very attentive service.
Tiger Tiger at Greyfriars Road, Cardiff is an excellent place though missed the 50% discount lunch offer.
We went to Tiger Tiger in Cardiff for a birthday celebration. There were 18 of us and the food came really quickly and the service was great. Some of the chips were cold but other than that I'd recommend it!
Tiger Tiger Cardiff for lunch. Pleasant venue, service a little slow initially but very polite and friendly throughout without being overpowering and food was worth waiting for.
Tiger Tiger Cardiff was very busy on Saturday because of the International Rugby however the service and food was excellent. Great value for money!
Great meal & great value
Went to Tiger Tiger in Cardiff, had the steak and half-lobster. Fantastic at under a tenner! To make it even better, the drinks were all half-price till 9pm! Fantastic! My only criticism was it was a bit noisy, but that's probably just because it was so busy, and no wonder at those prices!
Lunch in Tiger Tiger in Cardiff was a big mistake. Didn't like the venue, the decor was scruffy, the food was really ordinary and not well cooked and the service was slow. Won't be going again.
Tiger Tiger, Cardiff - unbelievable value for a great night out!
A great venue for lunch in Cardiff and despite being ram packed on an international rugby Saturday the staff at Tiger Tiger were excellent and the food was of good quality and value.
Tiger Tiger Cardiff is a great place for lunch. Good value for money and friendly pleasant staff.
Like Las Vegas, Tiger Tiger looks shabby in daylight but great when in full swing! Very quiet at 8.30 but atmosphere became very lively after 9.Had a great meal, the lobster and steak were both excellent, as were other meals. Had a really nice half-price bottle of champagne (order before 9) and stayed a lot longer because the atmosphere was so good. More a club than eatery - were seated away from the loudest area so could enjoy from a distance. We were the only oldies there but really enjoyed it
