Food was ok but a bit pricey, but when we booked they failed to tell us the restaurant had 3 Xmas parties also booked. Very, very loud, and we were forced to order quickly - all in all quite disappointing.
Fantastic food 😊 Service a little slow but they were very busy.
Decor let’s it down, it would make such a difference if there were curtains/blinds at the windows and some authentic Thai art work/ornaments to give it some atmosphere.
The tables were chipped, so tablecloths would have been nice too.
All in all for value for money I would recommend this restaurant 😊
Excellent service, excellent food perfect, would certainly recommend your restaurant
Food is excellent. However we waited over an hour for our starter. It was very noisy in the restaurant. The waiters and waitresses were very helpful and friendly
Great food, have been here once before and it didn't disappoint again staff very good ! will be back
Tiien Thai is our favourite Thai restaurant and we've never been disappointed with the food, it's great. The larger room can get busy so it's nice to sit in the bar section which is quieter. The staff is very attentive. We will be back. Highly recommend!
We preferred the smaller Tiien Thai nearby, more personal.
The food was excellent and the service was faultless and unlike a lot of thai restaurants it has a good atmosphere, i would recommend you book first as it was very busy .
Service questionable and food served almost immediately after ordering so clearly just being kept on heat in the kitchen. Food not very aromatic. Wine was good value.
Dear Shaun Thank you for your review. Just to clarify, our food is made freshly when you order. We encourage anyone who wish to see how their food is being cooked, to ask waiting staffs to show you the kitchen, with Chinese cooker the heat intensity is very high therefore with meat being sliced thinly, the food would cook very quickly, We appreciate your custom and hope to see you back soon. best wishes Tiien Team
Very good food, outstanding service and good value. Tables a little close together though which meant our meal was affected by loud guests next to us meaning we couldn’t speak to each other easily.
Amazing food and service, would recommend to everyone who enjoys Thai cuisine
Superb variety of food choices & set menus - and well catered for vegetarians
Friendly staff, great ambience, fantastic food. Already looking forward to coming again soon
Delicious food and attentive service
Great food at great prices. Very friendly staff. Food service well timed. Definitely return when visiting Bournemouth again.
My husband and I had a lovely meal, the atmosphere was brilliant and food was delicious.
Food was excellent, service good, atmosphere was very nice, but when we asked for the bill, we were given someone else bill twice over!! It ended our evening and my family’s Ruby wedding Anniversary on a bad note.
Fantastic service, attention and care. I have been here many times and will continue to return.
Amazing as always, great service and happy staff. Worth a visit.
Even though the food tasted nice, I feel like it was way too pricey, especially since the portion sizes were small.
The waiters/waitresses were too eager to take our plates when we had finished them as well, like they wanted us to finish up and not give us time to chill and talk.
Good food but not the best setting. More “holiday hotel” than intimate restaurant.
A very enjoyable evening meal. We visited whilst on holiday in Dorset. It was the perfect find! Would definitely visit if we were in the area again.
Amazing food in a great location. Owners and staff are welcoming.
Lovely meal with family - tucked all the boxes . Delicious food courteously served in a pleasant environment.
We come to Bournemouth only a few times a year and the one thing we do is visit Tiien. We usually get it most nights as it’s so delicious. Can’t get over the curry.
Saturday evening meal before a show and the people, service, food and ambiance was amazing. Thank you!
Best Thai food we've had and teh service was 11, free ice cream, brought out as we mentioned we were celebrating a birthday. Can't fault this place for friendliness, prompt service and food quality :)
Have visited twice now and both times it was amazing. Staff are very friendly and go the extra mile, it was my daughters birthday and they brought ice creams out with candles in and sang to her. Very very polite staff.
Lovely restaurant and with nice ambience, the staff are friendly and helpful, the food was tasty and really good portions. I would definitely go again when were next in Bournemouth.
Service hit and miss . Food good. Staff very friendly. Please please stop playing Celina Dion and Whitney Houston music - does not match what the restaurant is meant to be - left early as we couldn’t stand it any more
We had travelled from Norfolk and friends had travelled from Cornwall to meet for 2 days and decided that we would like to have a meal out away from the hotel. We couldn't have chosen a better dining venue that TIIEN the staff were very welcoming and the food was excellent and we all had different meals but each of us was praising what we were eating. We go to Bournemouth twice a year and will visit TIIEN again.
We visited Bournemouth for the weekend and didn’t know what to expect from this restaurant, however it was superb.
The food, staff and music were exceptional,
Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Bournemouth and very good value for money.
Amazing experience. Decided to choose this restaurant for my partners birthday, tasty, well cooked and quality food, excellent customer service, good quality price. Will definitely return
Lovely people and great food. Lively feel to the restaurant, but we were pretty disappointed that we were almost being rushed out by 10.15pm on Saturday night. We'd had a lovely time and the staff were very attentive, but after they asked to clear the table about 5 times before we'd finished eating, we thought we'd better just call it a day.
We had tasty, not outstanding meals, but the rice portion was a bit meagre for sharing. The surroundings and service were very pleasant and refined. Parking is a nightmare.
Extremely good food, well decorated and presented. Authentic Thai
Amazing food and staff ! We had a great evening and will definitely go back.
We ate at the Tiien for the first time this week and we have already booked to go again and recommended to family. Great food, good value, lovely staff - try the Tamarind Duck: lovely dish.
Food was good, good level of service by friendly staff who were not too intrusive.
Really disappointed with our trip to Tiien this weekend. We arrived at 7.30pm and were seated and offered drinks right away, but the drinks didn’t arrive for 20 mins, and my pina colada was basically just pineapple juice, I only chose this drink as in the past it’s been delicious here. Our starters took almost an hour to come! We couldn’t flag down a waiter and finally After 50 mins someone came and asked what we had ordered, and then said yes it’s on it’s way, they gave us crackers and didn’t offer us drinks or anything. We got our starters and then waited another 25mins for mains. In the meantime they topped up our water glasses. The main course came out and the chicken in pad Thai was very dry, and the lamb in the massaman curry was really chewy. The whole experience was really disappointing. We don’t go out for dinner too often due financial constraints, and we had actually made a reservation elsewhere but cancelled and swapped last minute as thought TIIEN would be nicer. It was so hard to get attention of the staff, and even after it took so long to get the food no one checked it was ok. There was also a large group of noisy men who I assume where on a stag do which ruined the atmosphere. Real shame!
