Ting Restaurant, Shangri-La At The Shard

Hugely disappointing. My expectation was that this would be a Asian fine dining experience commensurate with the standard of the hotel. Is it some distance from that standard. The food is eye watering-ly expensive for the quality. One example is a £16 salt and pepper squid starter / small plate that was way below the standard of most Chinese takeaways. The restaurant isn’t technically fusion but it sort of attempts it, but not at all well, the result is an odd muddle. We ordered a meal consisting of entirely Asian dishes and were then offered Focaccia and butter after our order to enjoy before the meal arrived. Very strange. The glass of champagne prices were hideous (£34) even for London. The tables weren’t set, the seating at our table was unusually low and not particularly comfortable and the only saving grace was the warm and genuinely lovely service. It was my birthday and they were very nice on a personal level. Sadly though I would not revisit and would not recommend.

Sabrina kindly served me and my best friend two days ago. She provided the best service and was so attentive the entire night making sure that we were good at all times. My best friend stated that she had an amazing 23rd birthday at Ting. Thank you Sabrina for being so sweet the entire night.

Amazing views with the very best service and attention to detail. A real treat.

Eggs were very bitty, not creamy. Salmon didn’t seem as fresh as it couldn’t have been. Great coffee! Vacuuming a lot, which made it very un relaxing. View was, of course, stunning and very comfortable.

The table was dirty and not clean before. For some reason it was not sanitized before. We had surf&turf but the lobster was full of mayonnaise with no lobster meat in ! The meat was poor as well and overnight me and my wife we had problems of stomach ache. Overall not a positive experience

Second visit for myself, first time for my husband. He was really impressed from the arrival on COVID checks, greeting by staff. Views are to die for, even if you don’t get a window seat you can still see plenty. Drinks food what can I say, delicious. Will certainly return again. Thank you all at Ting

We visited for my neice's 18th Birthday. We were so pleased that Covid 19 had not reduced the pleasure of attending Ting at all. The staff were wonderful - a big thank you to Jing and Cas for making our trip into London such a pleasure. We were completely spoilt and my neice also received the added bonus of a gift of Christmas treats to celebrate her birthday. A big Happy Christmas to the whole team. I know it is not the Christmas we expected but I will certainly be visiting again next year and I wish you all well..

The food was exceptional. The service was very friendly. I would have scored higher but service was very slow and we didn't get served first drinks until we already had our starters (45 minutes after arrival) which then made everything a bit rushed (ordering desserts whilst still eating mains) due to the enforced closing times. Perhaps they were short staffed on Friday? Well worth another visit though.

Amazing views over London, outstanding service and ambience! A perfect location to mark a special occasion with an extra special breakfast treat... the Smoked Salmon & Scrambled Egg on Brioche Bread was very tasty and great value for money. I would Highly recommend it but if you want to make the most of the breath-taking views, check the weather forecast beforehand as clouds can be slow to clear.

First visit and won’t be the last, great view, great food and great service all round

Everyone from security, elevator reception, restaurant reception and our server were incredibly professional and delightful. I really liked what I ordered which was hainam chicken rice. I ventured out and ordered the salt and pepper squid, this was good but not conventional, so not my favourite. But other than my pet taste, I enjoyed my experience and would not hesitate to come back!

Our meal was hit and miss when really at this level every dish should be a hit. The dishes we ok, not exceptional. The king prawn and black bean sauce was nice, the crispy beef was indiscernible from a chinese takeaway sweet and sour. We also threw in a seasonal side of sprouts with chestnuts and bacon. Although simple this should be something more special than I would cook at home - in this case, sadly not. Boiled halved sprouts, seemingly unseasoned for £6. Simply put, the standard of food doesn't match the price charged, view or no view.

I honestly had an amazing experience. My reason for coming was because when i was a child i said to my mother that i would always take her to dinner at a fancy restaurant in London for her birthday and i worked hard enough all these years to earn enough to be able to do it. The restaurant was amazing, the service was just top tier quality so hats off to the staff. The food was absolutely delicious so hats off to the chef and his team. The experience of being in the Shard and the view of the city at night was unreal and i am originally from South London and i have visited London many times and i love this city with a passion so it was great to be back. I am going to recommend this place to everyone i know as it may be expensive but it’s what you expect to be honest and the food and experience as well as customer service is 100% worth the money you pay. Thank you for making this experience memorable.

I took my girlfriend for a celebration and I it was just perfect, iv been to the other restaurants in the shard and ting is my new favourite and choice from now on, I cannot remember my
Waitresses name but she was a true credit to your restaurant.
