Two of us went to Tom’s for a pre-theatre dinner at 6ish and booked the opentable £20 menu for two courses + bellini, which ended up being £35 inc wine and service. Great food and carefully presented and very attentive service. The ambience was cold because it was early, but the restaurant is very good regardless. Would definitely come back. Thanks

Normally I am a fan of Tom's Kitchen but this time just did not cut the mustard. We turned up (having booked) to be told that "open table made a mistake" and shouldnt have taken our booking. there were multiple tables free but we were made to wait by the door like lepers who weren't welcome. upon being shown to the table we ordered a gin and tonic (without lime and with fever tree tonic) only to be given a gin with lime squeezed in it and a schweppes tonic. the service was haphazard (we were offered desert menus before our main had arrived). for £60 a head for 2 courses a glass of wine i would say i would expect a lot better and feel let down.

Had an excellent lunch whilst on a short break to London. We chose to share a number of smaller dishes, sort-of tapas-style, and were really impressed. Everything tasted incredibly fresh with a great combination of flavours. The ricotta cheese and grated slaw salad are particularly recommended. For dessert, one of us had the white chocolate mousse, and thought it was amazing. The other went for a selection of cheeses - all British and none of which we had come across before. All were fantastic.

The wine list is good. Many wines are available as a 500ml carafe - great if there are two of you and you don’t fancy a full bottle at lunchtime.

The service was excellent. Not too fast and certainly not too slow - just right for enjoying a leisurely lunch. The restaurant space itself has a very pleasant atmosphere. The decor has a slight ‘industrial’ style, yet also felt quite cosy. Noise levels are low.

Given the Chelsea location and quality of food, prices are perfectly reasonable.

The food and wine are both nice but very expensive for what you actually get. Nice but not worth the cost.

Delicious food and a great venue. The acoustics in the restaurant aren’t great though, it makes it very loud and difficult to hear your conversations.

We had breakfast which was very good but the plate was too small - it was difficult to eat from! I would recommend this place but the service was a little off. Timing was good but generally staff were not that friendly. Nobody seemed to smile, and they barely noticed when we left.

Although food was great, unfortunately the service was a let down. Really bad. We were seated upstairs which wasn’t great. Service was very slow and forgetful. We kept asking for our water and our mains arrived 45mins after our starters and that was because they had forgotten about our order. Very disappointed in this place.

Visited Tom's Kitchen on Mother's Day. Was shown to a table upstairs which is never a good start. Downstairs restaurant was lively, upstairs was almost empty. Service was very random. My daughters Fish and Chip's were cold. These were returned twice before she received a warm plate of food. 5 minutes later another plate of Fish and Chips arrived. 20 minutes later the waiter delivered to our table the Sunday Roast, which wasn't ours. Took about 1 hour for our main course to actually arrive. A waiter tried to give us dirty plates from the service area and wiped them with a tea towel. Fortunately my wife spotted this and we asked for clean plates which took about 5 minutes to arrive. All in all a disappointing experience.

I think there was a problem with the kitchen that day - we waited more than 40 mins only to get coffee and juices. Food arrived even later and forgot to bring something. But they were very nice and made us a big discount for the inconvenience. It can happen sometimes!

The starters and risotto were delicious, but the steak was overcooked and a bit chewy.

On a adoré!

Really good food, very spicy Bloody Mary’s and indulgent desserts. Also, for a Saturday at peak time, very accommodating of us bringing along our pram and patient whilst we added more and more people to the booking.

We’ve been here before and love the place, though this was the first time with a group. Gets a bit noisy so we were shouting a bit to be heard, and the wait staff had difficulty hearing us, but everything came out as expected and there were not mistakes at least.

There were a lot of good vegetarian and vegan options for some of the group too.

Booked lunch for the set menu offer advertised on open table but when we were arrived told it wasn't available. No apologies or alternatives offered, brunch only (which is very expensive and limited).

Having been to Tom’s kitchen many times in the past, this was a hugely disappointing meal. We went for breakfast on a weekday. They’ve changed the menu in the last year, made it more expensive and poorer quality. The food was cold and certainly not worth what we pod. There was a single waiter serving the whole floor of the restaurant and he was clearly stretched. I doubt I’d go back having really enjoyed my previous experiences, you can see they are just trying to save money and cut corners

I found the prices were expensive for what I was being served. £14 for a Eggs Benedict where the eggs, muffins and plates are arriving cold is definitely not value for money.

I just hope the other dishes on the menu were not like this as myself and my friends order both arrived cold.
