The greeter was a bit rude which was disappointing being that me and family looked forward to tonight’s meal. Waitress was excellent and so was the view. Manager and other servers were also kind. I would recommend them finding a new greeter.
Toula had a magnificent view yet the section with the downtown view seemed to be closed.
Restaurant is out dated in serious need of renovations.
Food was very good yet a little overpriced.
I had reserved with Toula 10 days before the actual date
Stipulating that my partner has a severe nut allergy and requesting a table with a view.
Understandably everyone would want a table with a view.
We arrived and we had to wait for a table with a view when an entire section with the best night time view was vacant.
Waitress was great very personable and polite which put to ease my hesitation on returning.
Overall great restaurant vis a vis food quality and preparation.
Ambience can certainly be improved.
One suggestion open city line view at night it’s gorgeous and much better than the dime harbour front view with no lights
Worse dining experience I have ever had. Least tentative wait staff. Terrible management. Bad food.
Very friendly service. Very slow but the view was great. I’ll go back for sure. The steak was perfectly cooked and outstanding.
My wife and I had a fantastic time. We went to Toula for my birthday and they treated us very well. The new menu is great!
Very expensive and really bad food. Service is also not great. The only positive is view. But, if you want view, go to CN360 for way better view and somewhat better food.
La comida y el servicio excelente, las alfombras viejas y sucias
It was our 35 wedding anniversary. We went to the restaurant a lot when we were dating and on our first anniversary and then life happened. So happy it was as great this time as it was 35 years ago. ( it just doesn’t revolve now) what a lovely experience and brought back very nice memories
Ate early so was very quiet, was starting to liven up towards dusk.
Need a little more range for children
Waited 15 minutes to get served and just left. Nobody came to our table. As we were leaving at the elevators somebody finally asked us to come back. Restaurant was outdated and the ambiance was not nice either. Would not give it a second chance.
The service was really slow. The food was decent and the view was great. Overall I would give this a 7/10
Beautiful views of lake and city! Service a bit spotty, seemed under-staffed. Good food and wine! Experience disrupted by patrons at next table starting up a jet plane video on speaker phone as entrees served, some people at just . . .
This restaurant exists for the view . . . and what an amazing view it is! Even though it looks like one of those rotating high rise restaurants, this restaurant does not rotate. Cuisine-wise, there are some decent options (and much better than similar tourist type restaurants around the world). I would try their cheese plate and Cornish hen . . . but the rest of the menu is fairly generic. The restaurant, overall, has an identity problem . . . where the menu doesn't reflect what I saw were the customers. I would suggest going more casual, but elevated (pun intended).
This was the worst meal I had in Toronto during a 2 month stay and the most expensive! The risotto was inedible due to too much salt and we asked for the lamb to be cooked so it wasn't pink and had to send it back twice since it was still raw. The decor looked like it hadn't been changed since 1980 - the carpet and walls were filthy. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant (no surprise). We came for the view and we certainly got the view but what was supposed to be a celebratory meal was a disaster.
We went to Toula before our Pink Concert as it was close to the venue. It had an amazing view of the harbour and the decor was very nice. The service was great!!! Our server was informative and very honest with recommendations about the food. I took his opinion when choosing my dish which was the mushroom risotto. The flavour profile was amazing. It was very flavourful. My friend had the gnocchi and I am not a huge fan of pesto like she is but this was actually very tasty as well. The prices were higher than we would usually pay but I would say this was average for downtown Toronto. We always expect to pay more when dining in Toronto. The only thing that was a “problem “ but not even really a problem was finding the restaurant. We didn’t realize it was in the building on the left hand side, especially since it was one harbour square and the building to the right of the path is 33. Once inside we also didn’t realize that there were North and south elevators and only the south ones had the 38th floor. Once we found all this out, all was good. All and all this was a very nice restaurant. It would be a really nice date spot or place for a celebration. I highly recommend it!!!!
Overpriced, by the glass wines were inferior, but charged at full price.presentation below par for fine dining restaurant and quality noting to write home about!
Beautiful view of the city and lake. Perfect for date night
The only thing that is good is the view.
Tables and chairs are very very poor. Plastic chairs, as if they were bought from ikea.
Service and presentation unprofessional for a 5 star hotel restaurant. As if its a 1 or 2 star hotel restaurant.
Food was bland and tasted average, would not pay that much for such a meal. The only thing that tasted good was the scallops but thats because scallops already taste good.
Nourriture correct mais définitivement trop chère pour la valeur.
Had a great time at Toula tonight celebrating an out-of-town friend's last day in town. Service was courteous and knowledgeable, vies outstanding and food delicious. My friend had the scallop risotto, I had the mushroom one. All was great, were happy with our decision to eat here.
Excellent view of lake Ontario. The food was not worth the high prices. The wait staff was indifferent and not friendly. Made it seem like every request was a monumental amount of work. It close to 20 minutes to get coffee. The only thing that was good was the dessert.
Food was amazing, the view was beautiful and our server was helpful & knowledgeable. Have already recommended to many!
Didn’t think the restaurant reflected the actual hotel. Overpriced and the food was just ok
The view is spectacular. The food has improved, but it can be brought a little higher in quality and value. The service was superb, friendly and not overly at your face. no wheelchair accessible washroom is an issue. Keep up the good work.
For the summerlicious meal, overall the menu was great, however the chef had burned the chicken on the grill. In any case I would recommend Toula, great service, relaxed ambiance, spectacular views.
They took over 40 minutes to serve our entrees only to have the chicken be burnt on the outside and RAW on the inside. Once this was brought to the attention of the staff, they offered to fire up another plate of the same dish. The result was the exact same.. RAW CHICKEN again while it being burnt on the exterior. Their only suggestion was to re-fire up the same dish a third time at which point I could no longer stomach any more raw chicken.
Did not offer to cancel the order at all.
Terrible place for food. Only thing going for it is the view.
The Summerlicious dinner was very poor - the octopus appetizer had barely any octopus in it, the steak was not your usual premium cut as we would expect from a steak dinner and the tiramisu dessert was average at the best. We’ve been to Toula before and the food was decent - this year summerlicious was really disappointing, we would strongly NOT recommend it!
My boyfriend's steak was well done even though our server insisted that the chef recommends medium rare and my chicken was still raw inside. Our server was rushing us through our Summerlicious dinner. The appetizers were delicious and so were the drinks. We were seated with a view of the water, that made up for everything.
Good food and excellent view and windows seat. Good service and good coffee. I give overall 5 stars.
Lovely view but the experience could have been better. I was in the middle of my main course and the waiter brought out my dessert when usually restaurants wait for you to finish prior to do so. I was highly disappointed at that so I asked him why he brought it out when I wasnt ready for it and his response was that I should take my time and walked away. Sorbet melts so I just got upset and called him back and asked that he bag my main so I can just eat the sorbet or else it will melt. I did not tip and I am someone who tips. I don't feel I'll ever go back based on that experience.
Overall experience 3/10
Ambience was nice but place was overly hot. Service was too fast and felt rushed. Romesco chicken and side were bland. The cod and mussels app was good. Overall wouldn't recommend
Came for summerlicious. Very disappointed with the food, and service was just so so. The view of the lake and central island was good, and a good atmosphere for a date night. But i don’t think I’ll go back for a second time.
Came here during summerlicious. Service and food was average. The views of the lake are beautiful. Overall, wouldn’t recommend as it wasn’t anything special and wouldn’t return here.
Beautiful views of the Harbour and Toronto Islands. Food was OK...not spectacular but well prepared and tasty. Service was very good although tables are cramped and it was difficult for waiters to move around although that did not affect service which was excellent. Very attentive and full marks to those who looked after our table. We had the Summerlicious menu which was good. Cost around $160 for the two of us including gratuity. Not the best meal I have had but the venue and atmoshere of being on the 38th floor looking down on the Harbour was hard to beat. I had thought this was a revolving restaurant but it is not. Still for a nice meal before watching Jeff Lynnes ELO band at the Scotiabank Arena it was great and would go again. Enjoyed the meal and the show with my lovely wife...what could be a better day than that!!
The food was very good, but not worth the price. The service was just okay. The decor was shabby and in real need of a face lift. The view is nice, but it's not the most picturesque view. Overall, it was over priced and shabby.
Went for summerlicious dinner, lots of selections. Portion sizes were good, taste was alright. Service was attentive.
The view from the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, but that we received awful service. It took forever for our mains and desserts to arrive - had to follow up both times. One hour into our meal, we were still waiting for our mains. The waitress who served us was extremely rude and didn't serve us any bread until we asked when we were finishing our mains. The food wasn't bad but I would say it was average at best. I wouldn't come back here.
The summerlicious was the worst I ever had. Defeats the objective of using the event to attract returning customers. Won’t be returning.
