Tower Oaks Lodge
Terrific Father’s Day brunch. Great food, outstanding service. Thank you!
Husband and I came here for our anniversary. We had good service and great food. We love coming here for special occasions!
Food and ambiance were outstanding as usual. Just a bit overwhelmed by the pricing.
Staff was good however our food was salty and not as we ordered
Come for the ambiance, not the food which is inconsistent. Wait staff young and inexperienced. Made reservations, but was still asked to wait in a long line of non-reserved patrons.
Asked for a quiet comfy table and was placed dead center in a noisy dining area off the bars.
Not a great dining experience overall
I have been a client since many years.
Everybody was ALWAYS very friendly and professional. The waiters still are but the people at the front desk are not friendly at all! This is the second time I noticed it in the last 2 months
Excellent food and service as always, thanks so much!
My first visit was fantastic but this visit had highs and lows. Make a reservation ahead of time and your wait time will be not long. Bunch food is okay and the service needs work. Not a place overall would go back for dinner and hopefully have a different waitress or waiter.
Celebrated Father's Day a day early for brunch. Food & service were excellent, as usual. Reasonable price, too.
Have been there many times. Food consistently good. This time server was not good. Ordered sparkling water and had to ask 2 times to get it. Ordered a large bottle and got 4 smaller! Ordered a spinach salad and got kale with no strawberries.
Nice lunch with friends in the Polo Room. Very attentive waiter. Great food !
The center dining area in Tower Oaks is always magical and with great ambience. The service is always exceptional, but I mostly go there for the brunch, the beer, the coffee, and the wood on the wall. The bar is great and i enjoy watching the canoes.
A standard default in the neighborhood when needing something to eat. Though, as my lunch, the tab was over $70; and that was w/o a large main course or dessert. Regrettably, increased costs of dining out is why the common individual can scarce be a weekly customer at this establishment.
We love to go here for special occasions. Food is great!
While we had a lovely birthday, overall it was fair and I expect much more from Clydes. The Crab soup WAS outstanding. That was the highlight. Our crabcake was a bit mealy and small for the price. The caesar salad was tasteless. The cupcake dessert was poor. Overall, we would not pick Clydes again for a celebration like this. We have loved Clydes in the past. We were just very disappointed this time.
I've been here many times. This time the seating was not as smooth as usual. The young lady taking us to our table was very curt and obviously annoyed. I don't want to pay over $100 for a meal and have the very first person we deal with being nasty. Period.
Waiter, David N, has a great sense of humor. We think the Lodge is always good. He made our last visit exceptional.
I had baked Haddock that was tasty and fork tender. My wife had a crab cake that was very good. Tower Oaks one of our favorite restaurants.
We love Tower Oaks. Service is normally very good and the food varied & tasty. This particular night was a little uneven. The scallops, crab cake & haddock were very good. The crisp chicken was very dry & the French fries not worth eating. Service was uneven. Surprising because not a norm.
The artichoke bottoms melted down my boss' mouth. The salmon salad was exquisite. Shallah loved her salad. It was good.
We love our visits to the Lodge. It always seems like a special event when we are at the Lodge. The food, and we always choose different menu items, food is consistently delicious. Walking into the Lodge past the waterfall, the flowers and the fish, takes the real world away as we enter the Lodge. Handicapped access is perfect and truthfully that is not always the case, in other places, even though it's the law. We love the Lodge. We all travel a few hours to meet up with friends who are coming in from Connecticut. It's well worth the trip! Your staff from the hostess to the first server bringing us our water.... to the other wait staff...are welcoming..friendly, attentive and efficient. We always have friendly conversation with the staff during our meals. Staff treat us like family only better! We never feel rushed at all...and bering with friends from far away..we do linger after the meal. Thanks for a great place to have a lovely meal and meet up with friends.
It was our anniversary and we were a table of 6. I requested the Tack Room but mistakenly called it the Hunt Room. When we arrived we were told that all of the tables were reserved even though there were many tables empty. When we left the tables were still empty. This has happened to us once before. When we complained we were told the tables were no shows. The service in the room that I told the hostess that I didn't want to be in was sad. App plates were never cleared for everyone at the table. The waitress was obviously not happy to be there. I don't like to burn my bridges but I will not suggest to anyone to go back.
Tower Oaks Lodge fully delivers on their promise of fine, comfortable dining. The food and service are consistently exceptional and the ambience is without peer in the Rockville metro area. Highly recommended for any and everyone looking for an affordable yet high-end dining experience.
Great date night! Love the decor and atmosphere of the lodge both inside and out! Food was delicious especially the crab & artichoke dip. Waitstaff was friendly. The service was slightly slow, but the restaurant was fairly busy. Would definitely return!
Service and food is always outstanding!!
Great atmosphere. Good food. Okay service. My father's entree did not arrive so it had to be re-ordered. The bill was incorrect and had an item on it which was never ordered. Nice people, helpful and happy. A bit loud for my 90 year old mother who has hearing aids but crowd noises always are.
Crab cake used to be a favorite; now it’s small and not delicious. Waiter was very friendly.
Service was very slow and children were very noisy! Both of those issues were more so than we've ever experienced there.
We were celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary. It was the perfect spot. The food was good for the most part. My truff6mac and cheese was not seasoned at all. The scallops were delicious though.
Service was good and timely.
Food and setting was great. Service not so great. Rarely saw our server, had to flag people down for EVERYTHING, ketchup, water, more cocktails, and the bill. Brought an adult a kid serving by accident so had to sort that out. Drink orders came in dribs and drabs. Not a great experience service-wise.
I ordered the salmon and it was a little dry. Lemon would have helped. I also had the calamari so I used that lemon.
Pleasant surroundings. Our server for the night could have been a little more attentive but overall the experience was good. Will be back.
Love going to Tower Oaks! The staff and the food are always phenomenal.
The service is always exceptional and the food is good and consistent.
I specifically asked for a table (not a booth) in my reservation and when I arrived found that the first two members of my party had been placed in a booth. So we had to be re-seated -- annoying.
The food was great - but the service was unbelievably slow. I have been to Clyde's many times and this was a new record slow pace (e.g., it took us over 3 hours to get through dinner, our water glasses were consistently empty, after our original cocktail orders, we only had one opportunity to get a second drink).
It was my father's birthday dinner (also noted on the reservation), but never acknowledged.
Overall, I think Clyde's can do better.
Tower Oaks is always a wonderful place for lunch or dinner. The ambiance is terrific and service excellent.
Menu items are limited compared to the old menu. Waiter was efficient enough but not friendly. Strawberry salad, crab bisque and crab cake were outstanding
Service was especially poor, but the quality of the food and overall experience was disappointing. At one time, Tower Oaks Lodge was a favorite destination. It is no longer the reliably good restaurant it used to be.
We won’t be returning for an early Sunday dinner again. The most mediocre service and meal we have ever had here.
