TOZI Restaurant & Bar Ratings and Reviews
Tozi is just the best place to eat. It has everything.....great food, exceptional service, not too noisy but definitely got atmosphere, just fabulous. My husband and I eat here every time we come to London, which is quite frequently. Wouldn't dream of eating anywhere else. Looked after beautifully by Matteo and Guiseppe a few days ago. Can't wait to eat there again soon. Thank you to everyone at Tozi!!!!!
We lived in Italy for 2 years so we are very fussy about Italian restaurants. We took a chance on this one because it was recommended by a Londoner originally from Bergamo, and it was seriously the best Italian food I have ever had outside of Italy. The special that evening, risotto with truffles, was absolutely exquisite. Service was excellent, very nice atmosphere - a fabulous experience all around.
Nice fresh modern setting. Informal, relaxed but well organised. Staff friendly and efficient. Pasta of the day wonderful - buttery sauce, pumpkin filling, amaretti crumbs. Pork stew with cabbage fantastic. Autumn salad colourful and nourishing as well as delicious. Can't get better in many places in Italy.
Went there before a show in Apollo Victoria Theatre. It's an Italian tapas restaurant, we ordered various dishes all of which were very delicious. We'd like to go again as we had to rush the dinner to catch the show. Definitely a place to go to for a nice Italian meal.
Lovely staff, fantastic ambience and delicious food! My boyfriend and I went for an early dinner at TOZI before a show at the Apollo. It's a fun place to share many small plates. We got 6 small plates between the 2 of us. It's great because you get to taste different food and flavours - plus it's lots of fun! We were blown away from beginning to end. We would definitely recommend to others and come back again!!!!
I am drooling thinking about this meal. I'm from NY and the restaurants in the theater district can really be hit or miss so I was a bit hesitant to try this place, but MY GOODNESS I'm glad I did. I had theater tickets to Wicked (see that too!) and sat alone and needed to be out in just over an hour for the show. Service was first class - very friendly server and support staff. My server recommended a DELICIOUS red wine that paired very well with my meal. For food I had the carpacccio (amazing), burrata and tomato on some sort of toast (amazing, so fresh!), and - the finale - the buffalo ricotta ravioli that had me actually audibly moaning with each bite. MOANING. OUT LOUD. AT A DINNER BY MYSELF. Do yourself a favor and eat at this delicious place, you will not regret it!
Tozi is a restaurant attached to a hotel, but it is not a "hotel restaurant". It is very much its own place with a large vibrant space where you can see the entire cooking process going on in its very impressive kitchen. The staff are truly lovely. They are young, personable, funny, polite and enthusiastic. The restaurant is open all lunchtime, afternoon and until late in the evening so if you are feeling peckish during the afternoon but missed the usual lunch slot, there it is. The menu is also fascinating. Unlike the standard menu of starter, mains and pudding, it is designed as a much more selective idea often with small and large portions allowing you to choose lots of things: one large item, dishes to share and all kinds of interesting mixtures. I have been a "foodie" most of my life. This food is very high quality and extremely well cooked. The sea bass - very easy to dry out - is particularly moist. The aged beef is succulent. Two examples: I could give twenty. I took two youngish children (eight and ten) who are children of my cousins. They loved it. There is a special menu. Colouring sheets and crayons. Everything says children are welcome and I have a theory - when children are treated well and not shut up and patronised and when they part of the party and not treated as a "nuisance addition", then they behave well. Italian hotels and restaurants are usually good with children and Tozi is very good. And finally, no I don't work for Tozi and no I don't have shares in the company. I am just a customer. I went there by pure chance a couple of years ago and have gone back regularly ever since.
This was first time visiting this wonderful restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful & attentive. The food was absolutely magnificent. Great selection of cocktails. Would highly recommend & I will return as will my daughter with her partner on another visit to London.
Wonderful dining experience! Just happened across the restaurant, but the food and service were impeccable. Our waiter was so funny and attentive, and the food was all delicious! The restaurant has quite an extensive and creative menu, so definitely go out of your comfort zone because it'll be worth it!
This restaurant is awesome! We eat here every time we are in London, wouldn't consider going anywhere else. The staff are fantastic, knowledgeable and helpful about the food on offer. The food is just fabulous, designed for ordering several dishes to share but I have to say I don't share my Tozi choices, it's all mine!!!! The only problem we have with it is there is a major tendency to overeat! We always order too much but we always eat it! Absolutely the best place.
I was blown away by the quality and taste of the food at Tozi. Notable were the crab ravioli, the swordfish and the spicy meatballs but can't recall a dish I didn't care for.
Prices were good and the selection was varied and interesting.
The service was excellent; attentive but not overly so.
Perhaps a couple of dishes took a little too long to arrive but that was OK as there would have been little space in the table for them in any case and we would have felt a bit rushed.
A really good find in Victoria. It was well beyond what I was expecting.
Will definitely return.
My sister and I had a pre-theatre meal here (we were celebrating our Birthdays) and we were really impressed with the staff, who were mostly Italian, which is good. They were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, even giving us complimentary coffees and petit fours at the end of the meal.
We left the choice of cicchetti (small plates to share) with our waiter, (Giuseppe I think) who made excellent choices for us. The food was so absolutely wonderful that we had to thank the chef personally. We also returned to the bar after the theatre to sample one of the Italian gins he had recommended to us.
We were there for my sons birthday. The service was exceptional. The food was very good. I am aware there are many restaurants to chose from in the area but for me this is a must. Lovely little touches of class and a great place to eat. It is worth mentioning that the restaurant is not pretentious unlike many rivals.
