Trademark Drink + Eat
Then knowing exactly what the standard is, Trademark enjoys nothing better than tweaking it. Someone else had the brilliant idea to combine pork with beans, macaroni with cheese and gin with vermouth. We simply came up with a way to make you think you’re tasting them for the first time.
The mixologists behind our bar program understand that some drinks are made to forget a hard day, others to foster inspiration, and still others to toast old friends and instant acquaintances. We also noticed that good things happen when the atmosphere is properly stimulating. You’ll find the mood at Trademark as comfortable as it is inventive.

Overall the experience was just so-so. This place is probably great for an after hour drink or to simply service the near by hotel's traveler for a bite without the drive. I do not believe I will be coming back for dinner.
The hostess and waiter were very nice upon arrival. We ordered the chicken nachos as an appetizer. By the time the waiter brought us the app the chips were soggy and the cheese had started to get that film you see once the cheese starts to cool. We asked for more chips and the waiter was nice enough to bring fresh chips. Oddly, upon the waiter's return he asked if we wanted our 2nd course... we thought this was strange since we had order the main course with the nachos and typically restaurants will bring the hot food out once it is ready. The main course was good, but a bit salty. I order the short rib & cheddar sandwich and my husband ordered the salmon.
Thank you for your review, CarlyM. We appreciate you providing feedback regarding your recent visit with us and I am disappointed to hear that you were not able to enjoy our fan-favorite Chicken Nachos. I have passed along your comments to our culinary team so we may improve for our future guests. I would like to welcome you to give us another chance, as I am sure your experience is not our standards of service. Kind Regards, Corey Branham Restaurant General Manager
As always the service was excellent. Jessica is very personable and attentive. The Huevos Rancheros was terrific as were the bloody Mary's. Will definitely be back.
Not really sure where others that have rated this highly have dined as it did disappoint me today. The burger my girlfriend ordered was basic at best and underwhelming. My crab cake sandwich was decent but not the best I have ever had. Try The Warehouse for the best Old Town or all of VA has to offer.
Service was fine, and the overall appearance of the restaurant it also very nice.
Would I go back? No, there are far many better choices nearby.
As always, the food and service were excellent. The Beltway Burger was cooked as expected and never having the candied bacon before, I was surprised how delicious it was. The Huevo Rancheros was more than expected and quite good. We would order both again. The Bloody Mary's were excellent.
Thank you for the 5-star review, Elphaba! We are so happy to see you enjoyed our famous Bacon Candy! I will pass along your kind words to our Chef and Mixologists and I look forward to seeing you again soon. Cheers! Corey Branham Restaurant General Manager
Thoroughly enjoyed our brunch on Jan 4. We have begun coming to TD&E every Saturday. The service is great and the Bloody Mary's are excellent with house made juice.
Thank you for the kind words, Elphaba! We are so happy to hear that you have become a regular guest and we look forward to seeing you again soon! Cheers! Corey Branham Restaurant General Manager
We went to brunch at Trademark because it has the best Bloody Mary's. The homemade mix is the best. Upon our arrival Jessica told us the bar was closed. She saw the look of disappointment on our faces, Jessica said wait one moment. She came back and told us she found the key and she would make the Bloody Mary's. That is customer service. She was terrific and we will definitely ask for her in the future. The food was excellent and the ambiance quieter than most places.
This was a very good experience. The waitress Ruth was very knowledgeable of the menu and was able to explain with detail. Very thoughtful with our personal request.
Thank you for the kind words, really! Ruth will be very happy to hear you enjoyed your experience. We all hope to welcome you back very soon. Cheers! Corey Branham Restaurant General Manager
I cannot say enough good things about our experience at Trademark. The service was impeccable. The in house made Bloody Mary mix was perfect. The omelet and Monte Cristo sandwich were excellent. Will definitely recommend to friends.
Elphaba, We sincerely appreciate your kind words! We pride ourselves on serving fresh and crafty drinks and food and we are happy to see you were able to enjoy both of those. We look forward to hosting you again very soon! Cheers! Corey Branham Restaurant General Manager
Ruth was wonderful. Food was delicious and served in a timely manner.
Thank you for the 5-stars review, Shelli G! We are very happy you enjoyed everything and we will be sure to pass along your comments to Ruth. We hope to see you again soon! Cheers! Corey Branham Restaurant General Manager
My birthday lunch.
Two Thanksgivings in a row, Trademark was quite cold inside. This negatively impacted our enjoyment, as well as our food temp. The atmosphere is lovely, however, and the food was very good. The staff should pull back from hovering over patrons. The staff were at our table almost as much as we were. Then, somehow, they ignored me when i needed the check. It took me 15+ minutes to flag someone down to ask for the check.
I had guest from NY visiting and they very enjoyed the experience.
Thank you for your 5-stars, Anonymous! We are thrilled you and your guest enjoyed our restaurant and we look forward to welcoming you back very soon! Cheers! Corey Branham Restaurant General Manager
Ehh, it was alright not my 1st pick brunch place

We are making strides to improve our brunch experience for all guests and I hope to invite you back to give us another chance at making it right for you. Cheers! Any too loud in there even with not that many people. The drunken porkchop wasn't very good for the price. Drinks are expensive too.
Thank you for the review, Nicole. We value all opinions from our guest and will take your comments to review our menu selections. I am disappointed to hear you did not enjoy our Drunken Pork Chop and I sincerely apologize that you felt our drinks were too expensive. I hope we can welcome you back soon. Cheers! The Trademark used to be the place to go for Sunday brunch in Alexandria. Very good food, plus $1 Mimosas refills and your first one. However, they have redone their Brunch menu and eliminated the Mimosa special. We were not told that until we started to order. So, no more Sunday brunching with the crew at the Trademark, going somewhere else.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, FLWineGuy. It's unfortunate you had such challenges during your time with us. We continuously strive to keep an updated menu and we regret that those changes have left you unhappy. We care deeply about the happiness of our guests and your experience is not on par with our guest's experience. We hope for the chance to host you again soon for a more positive experience. Cheers! Corey Branham Restaurant General Manager
Proximity to a conference was the reason for selecting the restaurant. Staff was most accommodating. Drinks were great; food was only so-so. Being from the "left coast," we are accustomed to fresher produce and more lively flavors. I'm sure there is a palate for whom this would be agreeable.
Thank you for the review, Defento! We are pleased to hear you enjoyed our crafted cocktails and the service from our amazing associates. I am saddened, however, that our food was sub-par during your experience. I have passed your words to our culinary team so we may ensure future guests do not have the same experience. We hope to welcome you back soon! Cheers! Corey Branham Restaurant General Manager
Service was outstanding and food was very good. Just was with a group who needed a little quieter environment and this venue tends to be a little louder. Not their fault!
Thank you for the 4-stars, 24YearsAndCounting! We are pleased to see you enjoyed the food & service. I will definitely pass along your kind words to our service and culinary teams. We hope we may welcome you back very soon! Cheers! Corey Branham Restaurant General Manager
We find ourselves eating at the Trademark at least three or four times per year - usually when they have some special event - Brewery Night - Tequila Night etc. This time it was for Alexandria Restaurant week 2019. Everything was perfect, the specific table we requested was waiting for us. The service was friendly and very competent. We both had the lamb chops which were delicious. No problems or complaints. Will return in a few months.
Thank you for your kind words JamesS! We are very pleased to see you enjoyed our featured menu. Thank you for being a loyal guest at Trademark and we look forward to welcoming you back soon! Cheers! Corey Branham Restaurant General Manage
A great new local spot for Brunch. They have a Bloody Mary & Mimosa bar with $1 drinks after the first one ($10). The food and service from Jessica was excellent. We'll be back. :-)
Thank you for the five-star review FLWineGuy! We are pleased to see you enjoyed our brunch and we will definitely let Jessica know about your kind words. We look forward to seeing you again soon! Cheers! Corey Branham Restaurant General Manager
Service was kinda slow.
Thank you for the 5-star review, Anonymous! We are sorry to hear your service experience was slower than expected. We strive to provide the best experience possible and we hope you will join us for another chance at this. Cheers! Corey Branham Restaurant General Manager
Had a great time at the Tequila event. Sorry more folks didn't take advantage of the evening.
Thank you for joining us, Nagana! We appreciate your 5-star review and are happy you enjoyed our Taste of Tequila reception. Stay tuned for more upcoming special events at Trademark. Hope to see you again soon! Cheers! Corey Branham Restaurant General Manager
Exceptional Bloody Marys -- burger and omelette delicious. Service top notch. Valet solved the parking issue.
Thank you for the 5-star review, LordLyman! We are pleased to see you enjoyed our drink & eat options alike. We are happy to offer complimentary valet and are delighted to hear how it worked in your favor. We look forward to welcoming you back to Trademark very soon! Cheers! Horrible experience. Made an opentable reservation a couple days before and when we arrived we waited almost 10 minutes for a hostess to come over. Once she did she asked “what do you need?”. I then overlooked that and informed her that I had an opentable reservation for 2 and that I knew I was a bit early and would just grab drinks until the table was ready. She then replied “are you wanting to like, sit down at a table for dinner?”. I replied yes stating once again that I had an opentable dinner reservation. She then said that they had a company event booked which meant we couldn’t have a normal table for dinner but that “we could wait and hope they leave”. I stated that I had placed my reservation a full day prior and having managed a restaurant myself I was curious why they were allowing dinner reservations to be booked when they, in fact, couldn’t accommodate dinner guests. She seemed very confused by this elementary concept and ended up finding us an awkward bar table in the corner and being hungry and frustrated we gave in and accepted it. Then we bought an appetizer and a couple drinks before our server vanished and we were forced to ask the hostess where our server had gone. She said she would find her, but after another 15 minutes of waiting I went to find her myself only to find BOTH her AND the hostess hanging out by the bar helping the company event. At this point I demanded my check (which I shouldn’t have had to pay in a million years) and left. No apology or even acknowledgment from a manager, nothing from the hostess, etc. A truly disappointing experience and the restaurant should be ashamed of itself.
It was a little pricey for a breakfast buffet. $18 for children was certainlt too high for what they eat.
Booked it on a whim. Had an awesome time. Highly recommended.
This place is usually good, but the service was very slow the day I was there for lunch
Drunken pork chop was very good perfectly cooked and the mash potatoes had an excellent flavor and consistency. Only ding was the wait staff did not know their wine and beer list as far as taste and local brew IBU as I had forgotten. Overall nice restaurant within the Westin a small walk away from where we were staying.
Walked out 15 minutes after being seated... no server, no acknowledgement. Dining room was only relatively empty with only 3 or 4 tables occupied.
The food is very good with surprising pricing when compared to other eateries nearby. wine and drink prices are very reasonable for the area. We were here with a very large group which can slow the service a bit, but the staff was cheerful and friendly. We ate here five times and sampled everything from their amazing hamburgers to flavorful mussels and delicious salads. a step up from the ordinary hotel restaurant.
We ate late and not many patrons. Our dinner order was “lost” so we were served a side salad during the wait. Good was good, drinks also good.
Reasonably good food (we go exclusively for breakfast/brunch food and only eat the omelettes, pancakes, and french toast) and always very easy to get a table. Prices aren't great, but the convenience of being able to meet the grandparents on little to no notice and eat with our 3 year old is more than worth it.
Trademark did not honor our reservations and were very unprofessional.
Hello Alexandriadiner, I want to sincerely apologize for the service you received on March 15th. It is our utmost priority to give our guests the best experience possible and it troubles me greatly that we were not able to offer you that experience. It is my hope that you will accept my invitation to return and allow us the opportunity to change your mind about our restaurant. Have a great day! Corey Branham Restaurant Assistant General Manager
Excellent food and great service!
Loved my meal and the service was wonderful!
We have been going to Trademark for several years. The new menu is far inferior to the old menu. Gone are the two varieties of mac and cheese--the seafood version was outstanding--no longer available. Gone is the crab meat chopped salad. And the service was noticeably worse. We waited an extremely long time for our food and it was just not that good. The pork chop had a sour taste--used to be one of their better entrees. Sorry to see this restaurant change for the worse.
Not many choices in the area, but it was good, not great for the price. And relatively slow service for brunch.
The service was excellent! Our server checked to ensure that we enjoyed everything. From our initial drink order to our entree. We shared to buffalo chicken potstickers, which were delicious and a little spicy. My date had the fish and chips and I had the crabcakes caesar salad. The salad was also very good and the portions were appropriate! Will definitely go back again.
