The pictuers do not do this place justice. It was truely amazing dinning expereince. Amazing food had the ribeye cooked to perfection. Rounded off with an amazing dessert, apple pie 😍.
Gutes Essen, coole local. nette Mitarbeiter
Disappointed with the waiter - no at all attentive o helpful when discussion food options. I have been here multiple times before and had a great experience, but I felt the quantity of food and service had dropped considerably from previous visits.
Will have to consider whether I will return.
Food was really good and the service was great I booked for 9 people but there were 11 in the end and they were really accommodating
Great food, really enjoyed our lunch , very relaxed atmosphere, will definitely be back.
Food very good, lovely venue, nice touch with the birthday cake at the end. However we were ignored for 30mins before someone bothered to take our food order and then when trying to pay. Was not particularly busy. Did spoil somewhat an otherwise very enjoyable birthday meal.
We love Tramshed - the food is great and the service always friendly. Our first choice for family birthdays!
Lovely place with great staff. Food was good, just like the previous time. I would definitaly go there again!
Great service, great Sunday roast and GREAT playlist! Thanks for giving me the name of it :D
LOVED our meal at Tramshed!! Service and food was excellent and great with children too! Can't wait to go back 😊
Lovely staff and outgoing atmosphere. The food was great. Love the Silent Pool gin!
I like Tramshed - It's a great place to go for lunch and this was my first experience of it in the evening for many years. To be honest it was a bit of a let down. We had a great table. We ordered the Shoreditch strip to share between 5 of us with a 6th ordering a burger for himself. The wait between starters and mains was 45 minutes and the steak arrived rare as promised, but there was no communication between our waiter and server, we wanted half rare and half medium - they were going to take it back to the kitchen. but the time we finally ate it was very late - having arrived at 8pm we left at 10:30 - We were told that the kitchen was busy! for evening service - who would have guessed? All in all a poor experience.
We love The Tramshed, great food, great selection of drinks. Staff are attentive but not overly. My only criticism are the ‘to share’ starters. They are not big enough to share! Delicious but just a bit minimal. Add a couple of flatbreads or make the macaroni a little more generous - please!!
Great food. Unfortunately service was initially very good but quickly deteriorated as the venue filled up with diners. We had to wait over 30 minutes for the bill and ask 3 times before someone actually brought it. This rather soured the experience which, up until then, had been positive.
The steaks were good, however the sides were bland, small and cold. There was something wrong with the heating apparently so we sat with our coats on throughout the meal. Service was terrible - I had to go and find a waiter to ask them to take our drinks orders and then again for food.
Great service! We loved the meat and cocktails!!
Disappointing. Have been before and service was much better. Very poor on Friday, staff bringing wrong food to table and we’re not particularly helpful or friendly
Always had a great meal at this restaurant. Whether it’s just two of us or a group. It’s a specious restaurant and the focus is on the artwork. There is also a gallery below and they usually have interesting exhibitions to view.
The food is unpretentious. Delicious and well sourced. They accommodate for any requirements.
Very enjoyable first visit. It was my girlfriends birthday. Service was spot on. Prompt and attentive without being overbearing/pushy. Had a good view of the installation. Food (2 x medium rare steaks) was superbly cooked and delicious. I had stated through the app the occasion was a birthday and they provided a complimentary slice of cake and candle which was a lovely touch. Atmosphere was good without being too noisy. My only criticism is I was a tiny bit cold where we were - but it was snowing outside and it is a big place! Will go again.
Great food, good service. Excellent vibe in the restaurant.
overpriced steak compared to quality/ taste. Waiters were helpful and polite though and the place was nice.
Amazing chicken. Had steak here before, but chicken was better, all the tables around us looked on jealously! Great artwork in the restaurant, brilliant staff. Only complaint is that could have some more variety of vegetables on the menu. Clearly it's a meat-focused restaurant, and that's fine, but people often like to have a lighter starter or mains to offset the protein! But overall, it was great.
Brilliant food! Brilliant service! And very unique!
We took my nephew and niece, aged 13 and 6 here for a Saturday lunch. We had a great booth with a view of Hirst's cow and chicken and the rest of the restaurant which we absolutely loved. There's so much art and the kids really engaged with it - it's a great relaxed environment to experience art, I wish more restaurants would adopt the Hix style. Overall the food was good for what we were after. The restaurant is aimed at meat eaters and there's loads of good options here if you like beef or chicken. I'm a pescatarian however, so I found the menu a bit limited. My only request is that they could do with more soft drink options such a shakes.
Great room with interesting art and high vaulted cieling. Food was great, I went for the roast chicken to share which was very tasty and decent value. post lunch Coffee was good so overall a good experience. Well worth a try.
Been there many times. It was great as always ;)
Sometimes you can get a bit dry chicken but it's tasty anyway
Service was very good. Attentive and friendly, gave us time when asked for, food came quickly and was good quality.
Staff were really friendly and food good...except for the fries. They quote he fries are cooked with chicken fat, so you expect tasty, flavoursome fries, in fact they simply tasted like McCanns oven chips. Apart from this small point (which overall wasn’t a major disappointment) the food is good and staff both friendly and professional. The art work is of course stunning, with plenty of noses at windows to take a peek. Definitely worth a visit!!!!
The location is ideal and easy to get to. The building is spacious and creates an aged, but open dining experience. There are enough different sub spaces - the mezzanine, the alley off to the side, the main dining hall - to feel private but included. The menu was full of comfort food for meat-lovers, pescetarian and vegetarians alike. Delicious. Moorish. Prepared with care. Served with a smile and a story. A great dining experience - even with (or perhaps because of?) the giant cow and rooster in a box looling over you.
Wasn’t impressed with the portion sizes or the quality of the food for the price that you pay! Other places in Shoreditch that provide better quality at less expense! At least I tried it! Service was brilliant!
Very unusual setting. Very good set lunch menu. Very friendly service
We were a group of 9 with 3 kids (two aged 4 and one who is about to turn 2) celebrating a birthday.
It was such a relief to get to the restaurant and see other kids, and it was an even bigger relief to see that the staff was super attentive. There was no rolling eyes during our meal and no panic when the kids started running before we left. It can be a bit daunting having a family meal with such young kids, but your staff made us feel super welcome!
I was hoping this would be a nice, quirky place for an intimate birthday dinner for two, but was disappointed with both the food and ambience. As a previous very happy patron of Hix Soho it was doubly disappointing. The venue is over lit, noisy and impersonal. Fittings and furniture are cheap. Food was remarkably bland and overpriced - again, a shock after enjoying many lovely meals at Hix. The art installation is wonderful, but you can see it just by walking past. Do that, and then go to one of the many other lovely eateries in the area.
Went to The Tramshed with high hopes having been recommended by someone who had been there already. The menu is quite limited, not necessarily a bad thing but unless you want to spend a small fortune on steaks there's not a massive amount of choice. I had the chilli beef salad. It was okay but a bit too hot to be enjoyable. The pickled salad was nice but the whole thing ended up being a bit of a soggy mess and I didn't finish it. We were recommended to try the truffle fries which were the best part of £6. Again, they were okay but nothing special. The crate lager was nice but expensive again. The decor and ambience were good and the service was great but we both left a bit disappointed.
Lovely building, good ambiance and the sirloin was very tasty. While the staff were very friendly, they seemed a little overstretched and the fries were extremely salty.
Service was very slow, 20-25 minute wait between courses. Food was average, not worth the money and doesn’t live up to the hype.
Great food and lovely service, would definitely go again 👌🏽
Pretty good chicken and tasty side dishes, fun environment with giant Damien Hirst in centre of room. Very loud. Good for taking out of towners.
The location is amazing! Like Some old warehouse or something. Right when you enter you notice a big cow in the middle, grabbing your attention. The food is amazing, you can literally eat your heart out here! Personel is friendly and quick too!
The place was empty as we went on 1st of January
However, the service was terrible. We ordered 3 times for our sides which they forgot and we had to chase them for 10mins for the bill.
People were not keen to serve us despite that it was not busy at all
