Fabulous experience, I took my husband to the Tramshed for his birthday celebrations. We had a delicious meal of chicken & chips to share, which came with stuffing balls and gravy....twas YUMMY😋
Our meal was rounded off with a complimentary slice of chocolate cake for birthday boy and a complimentary glass of rose each - Delightful !!!
Over priced, average food and drink. Heavy on the smoke flavour in a lot of things including the cocktails and our starter.
We came for the 28days aged ribeye steak, and it is over our expectations, it’s soooo amazing! Highly recommend for family and friends gatherings, if just two of you, you can order the 500g one which is what we did!
Excellent staff, fast service, and consistently great food. We’ve been 5 times and will continue to go,
Lovely setting with what looks like a Damien Hurst art piece. I went for the chicken which was just a bit too salty for my liking. Otherwise it was a pleasant experience.
Lovely service, I went on my first date as a recommendation and asked if there was anything they could do for my dates birthday by any chance, to make him feel special. They were amazing and friendly and brought the most gorgeous slice of chocolate cake with a candle and wording on the plate. Lovely atmosphere and food was amazing! The waitress helped us choose suitable cocktails for our palette and all staff were friendly and made you feel at ease. Thank you so much, we both loved
The food at lunch is always really tasty and usually comes quickly.
Amazing as always! Good food and excellent service
Food was good, particularly the snacks and the sharing starters. Very quiet but it was a Monday night. Service was a bit inattentive, particularly given the small number of diners. Would be interested to try it on a Friday or Saturday night to compare.
Outstanding as ever. Steak and chicken were great and service was efficient and friendly. Nice birthday cake for my son's birthday as well. Only negative was a bit too much mint in the beef salad.
Always fantastic, friendly service. Great food but we go quite a lot as the service is so good
After ordering our drinks for 2 we waited half an hour until i asked for them agian.
Was given the small steak after ordering the large one. Ordered side dishes that did not appear at all.
The manager did sort the bill out, but expected more of this restaurant seeing that's its very pricey.
Really nice venue and good staff menu a bit limited but we had looked prior going - would go back
Tramshed was perfect for our end of season football awards do. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent, staff were generally friendly and put up with our antics
Tramshed was reccomended by my boyfriends whose birthday it was so we visited last saturday afternoon and was not dissapointed, we had the whole chicken to share along with the onion rings and could not fault a thing, the chicken was really tasty and the service was great. Also the added choclate cake slice on the house for his birthday went down a treat, i would definitley visit again.
I wanted to love Tramshed. But I only liked it - and for the amount of noise around the joint, and the fantastic space it occupies, I worry this steak is not punching to its weight.
Only good were the Korean fried chicken was fine. The cut of the meat, pleasingly, was not straightforward chicken breast, but was also sinewy and chewy in its unevenness. Not to mention dry. The Korean sauce tasted a lot of... well, ketchup, and my friend commented that this reminded her of American school dinners. Hmmm. Steak, a ribeye, was also only fine, the cut relatively thin and pliable, which watered any seasoning, and made me wishful for a thicker, more compact ribeye where the cooking and marbling don't take away from the bite.
A salad of "lettuce hearts" was not lettuce hearts at all, but rather mixed baby leaves, delivered, to be fair, with a tangy and delicious dressing that soon cancelled my temporary yearing for firmer lettuce hearts.
Great were the chicken dripping fries - full of cruch, seasoning, and depth of flavour thanks to the frying fat of choice. I loved these, could have eaten a bucket of them. Also delicious was a chocolate mousse, deep and intense and exactly the right shade of sweet, sprinkled with fresh and crunchy honeycomb. Delicious.
So. Hit and miss, but I guess my sense would be that if Tramshed excels in sides, dressings and desserts, greater focus needs to be given the meats at the table.
Attentive service and awesome environent make this worth checking out - just don't go for the steak.
Ambiance is great!!!
Service is outstandind!!!
I have been meaning to come here for a long time. The building the Artwork adds to the great atmosphere in the restaurant. Staff very helpful and friendly. Lovely wine and very tasty food. Really enjoy myself. And can not wait for my next visit.
Amazing service, the whole decor of the restaurant was very fancy as well
My daughter chose the Tramshed to celebrate her birthday. We were given a warm welcome. 6 of us had dinner. We shared some starters which were all really good, very fresh and tasty. Then we had the strip steak between 5 and one chicken curry. All the food was delicious. Service was good to this point... then it went downhill! We had to keep attracting staffs attention to ask for dessert menus/order dessert/get the bill/pay the bill. It was as if 10pm came and the staff wanted to clean up and go home. Such a shame as it left a sour taste after some delicious food.
This wasn't my first visit, so perhaps some of the sense of being special that I had associated with this restaurant wasn't there. Our server was pleasant enough but didn't know the answer to a pretty fundamental question about how the chicken we shared was cooked. However, the food remains more than fine and the space is, of course, amazing. I came here for a business lunch, but think it's probably better for drinks and eats with your mates. There were a number of tables with big parties chowing down and having a good time. Wine list is reasonably priced. Portions are generous.
the beef is over cooked，and the chicken is too dry.
We had to chase the waiters down to get us another bottle of wine, which at the prices they charge was unbelievable, especially when they charge a mandatory service charge. When letting them know we were waitng for a while to get noticed that we wanted some service, we received a sarcastic comment from the arrogant waiter! I would highly NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone, unless they enjoy paying over the odds for bad atmosphere and bad service.
Was nice to go there like the ambience and set up - food was good although a little over priced. My pet hate is when you make a reservation and they call on day to confirm and say you have 2 hours time period at table ! I just hate that and restaurants should stop that . On the night table had plenty of tables available - so we were not asked to leave but why mentioned n first place - really really annoying
Had the butternut squash curry which was delicious! Quite pricey for the portion size though.
My partner had been before and really wanted to take me here as I’d come down to see him as he is working in London and it’s fair to say we was both disappointed with both service and food we ordered two steaks one Sirloin medium well and one rib eye medium rare we ended up swapping as they had done the steaks the wrong way around let’s just say as it was already 10.30pm I was ready for bed after a long day so ended up eating what we could and just going
But would not recommend at all very disappointed
Poor service, bartenders picked their noses , waited 30 mins to be served
This is a very nice looking restaurant in a unique setting - rather stylish and definitely original
However it is a bit pricey (a bottle of very average wine = £30)
Idea location and bar near Liverpool Street. Good sharer food steak and chicken .
Terrible food, terrible service but a fantastic looking restaurant
Had the best birthday with a personalised cake thank you!
Took our daughter and her boyfriend who loved it ,and so did my husband and myself !
Staff friendly...Poor food. When I go to a restaurant I want to taste food that is better than my efforts at home and I'm not a good cook and the Sunday Roast at the TramShed although edible but at £17 quid for a Sunday roast very disappointing
Ein Klassiker!! Bestes Huhn!!
Would highly recommend the Atlantic prawns in a pint! They are so fresh, it is a must try!
We booked via OpenTable, arrived and were seated. It was only when the waiter came to take our order that we were advised that the bulk of the items on the menu had sold out. When questioning why we weren't advised of this on arrival, the response was more or less a shrug of the shoulders. Not only had we wasted time travelling to the Tramshed, it was also too late to arrange an alternative booking elsewhere.
I appreciate that at the end of a busy bank holiday stocks might be running low, but to accept reservations knowing this to be the case is pretty poor. We would never have booked in the first place had we known this.
Very good restaurant.
Good food and very good service.
Will go back for sure.
Went here with my extended family and everything was brilliant. We had all the Snax a load of starters and all shared the tramshed strip steak which was cooked to perfection! The wine was great and we never had an empty glass due to the amazing service. Highly recommend this place to all! We are going back to try the chicken next!
The food was great, simple and delicious, and the staff/service friendly, cheerful and super efficient
I have visited this restaurant on previous occasions with family and had no qualms about booking a table for entertaining clients and business partners, as the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.
The seating configuration also provided easy conversation in a vibrant atmosphere.
