Steak slightly over and service not that great. Steak arrived but was half eaten by the time my sauce arroved
the waiter was an irish guy and he was very sound. great lunch
Terrible attitude by the waiting service. Threw out food at us. Chicken was over cooked and the steak was below par.
Great food and great venue. First time I have been but would definately go back
Chicken we had was dry and chicken scratchings were underseasoned. Had a whole jug of water spilled on me; disappointed that the manager did not bother to come over and say sorry. Waitress who served us was lovely, embarrassed and apologetic.
We were very disappointed by this restaurant. Even if the service was good and made by really friendly people, the food was poor.
I went to Tramshed simply to look at the Damien Hirst piece in the restaurant which was excellent. The menu didn’t have prices on and was quite expensive for the portion sizes. My friend has the fish and peas which is a nice simple meal however the restaurant tried to make it a bit too fancy and it ended up being a bit too much taste wise on the peas. I had the mac and cheese and it was a very small portion for £15
Cool place, food was very nice. We had burgers and beers and the meat was really good and well cooked (mid rare as I like). The restaurant is amazing and there are really good vibes inside. Prices are not expensive at all considering the great location full of art pieces by contemporary artists.
The beef in the salad was not tasty at all.
Too much green pepper and everthing, except the beef was in mandolines.
Turned up and only people in restaurant. Took our order. Had to ask twice for drinks to arrive for children. Our food arrived and children’s didn’t. Again had to ask on two occasions to be told it was coming. Our food had finished before there’s arrived. Horrendous service and left hungry. Children were eating our food so we asked for more fries. Never came!!! Won’t be going back
BE PREPARED TO BE ASKED TO LEAVE AFTER 90MINS ON THE DOT.
I have been here a few times and it had been a good experience. However it was not the case this time.
We were directed to a table and the seats were so low as if it they were kids chair against a normal height table. We asked the door lady to change the seat but she said they couldn't change or swap to another table for 2... their answer just couldn't make sense! After 5 mins, she must have asked a manager, she came back to show us another table for 2. Thanks.
Everything was ok, we had starters and then roasted chicken as mains. The food wasn't bad and fries was good. However, a rather inexperienced waiter came to us exactly 60 mins after we sat down, looked at his watch and said we only had 30 mins left to finish our food, as apparently THERE IS A TABLE TURNOVER RULE OF HOUR AND A HALF!!
at this point, we only just started eating the chicken as the chicken took 15 mins to arrive after our starters
and came with COLD gravy. Everything turn tasteless and we completely lost our appetite.
At the end, we paid our bill exactly 90 mins we sat down, took the remaining chicken home, then this waiter even said.. YOU CAN SIT LONGER BUT YOU NEED TO MOVE TO THE BAR.
Thanks but I'm happily leaving and will never return.
Overall it was really lovely restaurant, service and food was superb! Shame the chicken was abit dry though! But you cant fault the steak!! Too yummy! Will definately come back for the steaks :)
I live in San Francisco and love coming back to Tramshed just to see the art!! The food is excellent!! Had the chicken and it was delicious! I will come back again!!
Nice and extravagant decor, but way too many tables fit in it. Kind service, perhaps a bit inexperienced. Good tasting food, but quite difficult to digest, my friends and I had a tough time. Poor and pricey beer selection. Overall not a place to remember, but worth a visit to see the Damien Hirst art pieces.
Steaks to share were disappointing. Far too chewy when done at medium rare ( which was chef’s recommendation)
Staff were nice and efficient.
Ambience of the place also very nice
We ate there yesterday, the service was poor, meals took too long to come out, when they did one was stone cold and there was a piece of plastic found in the rice which accompanied the curry. The manager did deduct the price of the curry off the bill which was appreciated. I won't be going back.
Nice food but the waitress could have been better dealing with my allergies.she just gave me a book filled with allergies to each meal and left me to it instead of helping me find an appropriate meal I can order
lovely food, lovely service. The venue could benefit from some more backing music and the drinks did take a little too long to come. otherwise it was great! thanks so much
The service was just not good enough for the price point.
Another solid Sunday lunch option. Lacking the buzz of previous visits, but staff were friendly and efficient. Great Bloody Mary's and the roast options work well for groups. Veggie brunch choices fill the gap too. A good value place to take visitors who have not seen the space before.
Wonderful service and delicious food. The sharing options are such good value for money for the quality of the food served. Delicious!!
Great food and good atmosphere definitely recommend
I booked this venue for a special occasion but unfortunately was disappointed with the service and the food.
This place is tired. The service as appalling, and the food is merely fine.
Firstly, our steak came out came out not as we asked - medium instead of medium rare. They were insulted when it was sent back.
The served us another bottle of wine, and asked us to vacate the table 10 minutes later, without being offered the chance for dessert or to finish our glasses. I was then harassed by the door woman who was trying to ‘prove to me’ that they only took 2 hour reservations, even though we were not asking for a conversation on the matter.
Why serve us a bottle of wine, if you wanted the table back within 10 minutes?
Really sketchy (though mostly friendly) service throughout. Adding 12.5% service on a bottle of champagne ordered and paid for at the bar didn’t start the evening too well. Glasses and ice bucket being removed at strange times even though we were continuing to order wine through the meal. Food was ok but has been better.
We chose Tramshed as we’ve had many pleasant large family birthday dinners there over the years, but the service and food quality have markedly slipped recently which is a pity. Really quite manic staff despite it being early and pretty quiet. Wouldn’t have wanted to eat there later on as covers filled up.
We enjoyed ourselves despite the issues, but unlikely to be choosing to go back again. If the food quality was as good as it once was the service issues might not have felt quite so annoying. All in all a bit disappointing.
Even though its less than 5 mins walk from home, I tend to forget Tramshed, and yet it has never failed to deliver less than great. Must come back sooner next time....
My friend the Bride who I booked for was very happy and was delighted when the staff surprised her with a little gesture of congratulations, a cake with chocolate writing on it. I heard it was a great evening overall.
Thought are server was less than average. Could have tried more - came to our table and never greeted us, just asked "are you ready to order' without taking a drink order first. Never checked back with us. We would have ordered more drinks given the chance.
Very good food and a lot of it. Me and my wife got the whole chicken for a main and had some left for lunch the next day. Beautiful menu
Quite dirty toilets. Not very pleasant receptionist. Great food.
Great service and food!
Delicious food and a great selection of wine. Great venue and atmosphere. We sat at the bar, which was actually a lot more intimate and fun for a date. Would recommend
I think we got unlucky, but the service was poor. Three different waitresses, broken plates, forgotten drinks order, had to get up to walk to find a waitress to place an order, OK steak but nothing exceptional. Sorry Tramshed - this was not a great experience, and am sure we just picked a bad night to come as clearly most reviews are very positive
Delicious food, great drinks and cocktail menu and really good service.
I recently did a review of Hawksmoor in which I said the food was great the service great, the ambiance great. The Tramshed food was lukewarm, the sevice was just about the same and it was empty so no ambiance to speak of. Basically go to Hawksmoor if you want a good Sunday roast.
very good service and food, i came for a celebration and they met our needs very well, the food was outstanding and the ambience of the restaurant was great. the galley downstairs was also one of the highlights and would definitely reccommend to a friend. very lovely and friendly service.
The food was outstanding! Unfortunately it was let down by poor service.
Food was amazing as always but I keep getting the same grumpy waiter who somewhat spoils the experience. Last time he practically barked at us for ordering sharing sides before our main courses. It was a bit 'computer says no'...
Really enjoyed the roast chicken and chips.
The chicken scratchings however at the beginning of the meal were awful stale .
The staff at the reception desk were friendly but the attentive experience ended once we were shown to our table. From then on, the evening seemed to be set to disappoint, which was a shame as we were marking a special occasion. The food was insipid: the broadband starter was flavourless green paste served with soft soggy pitta-style bread; the prawns in a glass were too salty, as was the mayonnaise it was served with. The Tramshed white wine was tasteless and 'thin' tasting and to top it all, the service staff were slow and inattentive. It was an expensive meal for pretty tasteless food and an overall a sub-standard dining experience.
