Great restaurant with outstanding food. One of most authentic places in the area to being in Italy.
Food and service were both good. Will definitely make a trip back to try something else on the menu.
The food was really good and they had lots of options. A small plate was good to split between the two of us. Service was excellent and timely. I’m a tiramisu fan and theres was so delicious.
One of our favorite couples spots solo or with friends. Menu selections are excellent, both the staples and the specials. Wine pairings selected by owner Dave C are thoughtful and quickly guided. Wait staff here are mostly pros. Bar and dining room are both comfortable and very nice. Highly recommend. Can make it a dressy Saturday out night here or a casual Wednesday dins.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Came here for our anniversary dinner and had a wonderful evening.
The restaurant is very nice and the service was adequate. My wife ordered pizza which was good and the portion would’ve been plenty for two people. She didn’t come close to finishing it which is a good thing because of what I’m about to write. Our twenty year old daughter joined us for dinner and ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The sauce was very good, as were the meatballs, but the portion size looked more like something we would’ve ordered for her years ago in a kid’s meal. It was a very small portion. I’m always perplexed why a restaurant would do that with pasta, given how inexpensive it is. I ordered Braciole which was good but also very small. It’s one of my favorite Italian dishes and it was good, but was probably half the size of what I’ve received at other similar local restaurants. I rarely have an issue with portion size of any dish, as I’m not a big eater and neither is our daughter. But we were definitely happy that my wife ordered the pizza because we were both still hungry when our food was gone and we each had a slice of that. All told, it’s a nice restaurant with good food. However, they definitely need to address portion size, especially given the price. With a couple of glasses of wine, no bread service, salads, and entrees our bill came to $125.00. That’s not inexpensive in my mind. I doubt we will return.
With Covid, we chose to eat outside, so as far as the ambience is concerned, we were basically on a sidewalk, but having been at the restaurant a couple times before, I can vouch that the inside is very nice and relaxed. My trout was incredible! Very tasty and served with polenta. My friends loved their dinners as well, except for the Caesar Salad. It was very bland, even with the anchovies on it. I would not recommend it. Other than that, the dinners were excellent!
My girlfriend and I enjoy coming here - great service and ambiance and usually delicious food. Unfortunately, I ordered a veal chop with truffle porcini risotto, and the veal chop was undercooked (think: squishy more than chewy) and the risotto was severely under-seasoned. I’m sure it was an aberration, though!
frito misto included semi-cooked shrimp & scallops, caesar was the size of a side salad with barely any dressing, waygu steak was tough & cold & 2 pieces of cold frittata on the side for a $50 dish???? will NEVER go back
We didn’t mind waiting since our table wasn’t ready for our reservation. After service we received we know why we had to wait. 3 of the 4 cocktails (4th was a beer) weren’t anything special, not very good, or even worth the specialty cocktails labels. Our waiter who we’ve had in the past was almost non existent half the night. Slow, and really not very attentive nor did he listen to our questions. It took over two hours to get our meals and dessert. Cippino was mediocre at best, trout bland and dry, pasta dishes were okay. Salads were good. Problem is that some times food is good. Some times it’s hit or miss. Very disappointed. For a $300 bill for 4, not returning anytime soon.
We met another couple for a very pleasant evening on the patio. The arugula salad was large enough to share, and half price cocktails before 6pm were enjoyed by all. The seafood stew and pasta dishes were standouts. The tiramisu and panda cotta were shared between four. The serving sizes were generous. Our server was experienced and kind. A pleasant night was had by all.
My wife had a salmon dish that was mostly humus with a side dish of salmon. I ordered a veal chop that was undercooked- rare vs. med rare. The bread ordered at extra cost was dry, and last the drink I ordered was incorrectly mixed. Not a great dining experience.
Food was outstanding! I’ll be back $$
Our server was friendly & accommodating. We were not rushed at all & The food was wonderful. It was so nice to be out for dinner & to be able to relax.
Great dinners creatively prepared. Super service as well!
The service was excellent and always is excellent. Sadly, our meal was not up to the usual standard for Aroma. Our family has dined here frequently and have never been disappointed but this time the food was cold and not of the usual quality. It was still a nice location and the FOH staff are wonderful hosts....hopefully, they will improve the food.
The lemon tart was unbelievable!
Always a great choice. Great food. Great atmosphere. Great service.
Always a great meal at Aroma Bryant!
Great food, excellent Vino.
Porch was perfect
Thanks Dave & Co.
I dined with a friend here the other night. I ordered the Salsiccia Alla Cacciatora, and she the Pappardelle Piemonte. Both dishes were delicious and well-prepared. Our server was very professional and capable, in addition to being appropriately warm and attentive. He receives extra high marks from me as he was the only server in the restaurant that night, yet he still managed to provide wonderful service. The setting is very comfortable, and the noise level still allows for unstrained conversation. Highly recommended.
Absolutely one of the best restaurants around! Authentic regional Italian menu with very apparent fresh and homemade selections. If the food wasn't enough to make Aroma Bryant great, the imported wine list tops everything off!
Overall an ok experience. Our visit may have been a fluke - but it was not memorable. Pasta could have drained more, lasagna was plain and Ceasar salad was forgettable. Service was ok, glasses weren’t refilled, table water was forgot. With many quality restaurants as options I don’t know if we will be back
Great happy hour !! food, service excellent!!
Price cannot be beat..
Normally, Trattoria Aroma on Bryant is excellent, but they had all sorts of issues that night - lights going full blast, then completely off, our waiter seemed overwhelmed and it took them forever to get us bread, our drinks - I'm going to say it was an off night for them, but when it costs as much as it does and you rarely get nights out from the kids, and it was for Valentine's Day, you really want a romantic setting, that was not a romantic dinner. Still, overall, great restaurant.
It was Valentines but reservation for 7PM and sat at 8:30???
Nice place, good food. Slow wait staff.
Trattoria Aroma had a special menu for Valentine's Day. This menu was a somewhat limited menu, but still provided plenty of options. The seafood bisque was silky smooth with the right amount of sherry. The polenta and seafood was unique and a much different presentation than expected. Salads were crisp, cold and fresh. The pasta was homemade and cooked perfectly. The lobster in tomato cream sauce had tons of lobster - not over cooked and a sauce which was not heavy. The textures and seasonings were spot on. The cippino with pasta had a nice edge to the sauce. The seafood was all perfectly cooked and was plentiful. Cocktails were expertly prepared and a nice wine list. Desserts were solid - Creme Burle was light and incredible. The Tiramisu was delicious - not too heavy. Service was excellent.
Good food, great waiter, nice ambiance. Great diner pre Sabres game.
Service was very slow, but host/manager apologized when we left. They got slammed with two big parties at the same time. Understandable. The unfortunate situation that I feel was taken very lightly was that my daughter found a 6 inch piece of twine in her salad. Our server only said that he'll have to tell the people in the kitchen to be more careful. No I'm sorry or that's unacceptable. Figured he'd take it off the bill as a sign of good business, but no he didn't, hence this review. My daughter's appetite was understandably halted a bit after that for the main course. Other than that, the food was pretty good and the wait time didn't bother us much because we had a great flow of conversation going! I would possibly go back again, later than sooner, but I will most certainly be keeping an eye out for foreign objects in my meal.
Delicious meal! Had a stuffed hot pepper app that was yummy! The bread was excellent. I had the cioppino app as a main course. It was delicious and satisfying. My husband had the paperadelle w rabbit which is one of my favorite dishes at Aroma. Able to order a $25 bottle of wine which kept it affordable. My only complaint would be the house sslad- a little overpriced for what it was. At least there was some cheese and an artichoke in it..overall a good meal.
Great food was outstanding, service was great.
Delicious, terrific service and nice place. What else can you ask for?
This is the best kept secret in Buffalo for great Italian food! I eat out several times per week at great places, and this is one of the best little Italian restaurants in NY State! The salads are unique, blending together layers of flavors, texture and interest. The pasta with homemade sausage, while sounding typical, was fantastic! Desserts are made on premises, as is the bread. Great dirty martini! I can't recommend Trattoria Aroma enough!
This is the nicest restaurant in Buffalo perhaps Western Hemisphere ( having never travelled East that’s all I can say)
This is our go to spot for a nice dinner and occasionally Sunday brunch
Wonderful food and excellent service as always
We went there on New Years eve. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. We are from out of town but would make this restaurant a destination if we are back in town.
Attentive service and delicious food in a wonderful setting.
Everything from the ambiance, to the service, to the food was fantastic. There were 4 of us, and every meal we ordered was great. This is the perfect restaurant for a date night. I highly recommend checking this place out. You won't be disappointed.
Birthday dinner for son. We had a fantastic meal.
