The food was not great, a tiny step up from an Olive Garden. It all tastes like it were from a microwave. There were homeless people invading the restaurant from the hotel entrance and refused to get out.
Second visit to Trattoria Bianca. Food was good, service was good and prompt. Staff attentive to our party of 4. If in the area, definitely suggest you try them. They are close to MSG so an easy place to dine if going to an event at MSG.
Excellent restaurant for a business lunch meeting.
Excellent food, service and ambience. I wanted to share a terrifc meal with a friend and co-worker and your restaurant really succeeded. We shared an app and both had pasta as a main course. Everything was superb. We will most def come back again and again.
Ate at this restaurant before attending an event at the Garden. The food and service were very good. The fried calamari was very tender and the salmon was delicious. The price was definitely worth it. Also had a dirty vodka martini, which was good.
Gabriel was an excellent waiter and delivered everything at perfection!!! We are from CT and this has been my fifth time here!!! Last time the bartender was disappointing on service in November but last night was on point!! Dinner and dessert was perfect too!! Love the calamari and Pesto Rigatoni…Tartufo and Toasted Almond!!
We stayed at the New Yorker and went here because it was convenient but would go back anytime. Drinks and food were delicious
Excellent food & service
It was extremely brightly lit, not what you expect of an Italian restaurant. It looked like a diner. We were the first ones in the restaurant at 5:30 (we had to eat early due to having broadway tickets).
The service was amazing and attentive and the food was delicious!
I wonder if they lose customers based on the ambiance. The lights were so bright. They finally dimmed them a bit around 6:30.
It was such a pleasant surprise! We had the Beet Salad and spaghetti and meatballs.
Very good. The wine selection was good and fairly priced. The atmosphere was pretty and lively. Nice vibe for the holidays. Wait staff was great. Would recommend!
Overall a great experience. Our waiter came quickly but was hard to find after the food came out. Food was good and didn’t take long at all. East access to MSG.
The food was delicious. I had asked the restaurant to have a candle to celebrate my wife’s Bday. They had it and the server song happy bday to my wife.
The lemon sorbet with a shot of limoncello is a must try, especially if you had a creamy pasta for dinner.
I recommend this place and will be back.
We love this place. It is our go-to before any show we see at Madison Square Garden.
We were looking for a restaurant close to Madison square garden to go before a show. We were not impressed. The fried calamari was good but not great. The marinara that came with it was bland. Everything needed salt. My veal piccata was very oily and just ok. My husband's spaghetti carbonara was ok (overly creamy but tasty). We would not go back. Atmosphere was not even all that nice.
Dinner with Friends Before The Andrea Bocelli Concert.
Best Location To Dine Before An Event @ Madison Square Garden.
Food was great..
Geeat meal after an event at MSG and also convenient to our hotel. We all had the grilled lamb shank . Great evening.
We had a great time, and the food was good. The service left something to be desired since we were seated for nearly 15 minutes before being greeted
We were going to a concert at MSG and this was the perfect location. Not only was it a great location but the food was AMAZING. highly recommend.
Wonderful food and great service!
Excellent service!! Parpadelle Ragu was scrumptious!
More of an Italian diner.
This was absolutely the worst "Italian" food I have ever attempted to consume. Could not finish the dish. Paparadelle with ragu.... a staple of Italian cooking. The service was "cold" little emotion or help - and at times a bit rude. This was a fail.... PASS
A little understaffed. But pleasant service.
Quick food service.
The place is designed like s diner. Poor lighting and frazzled wait staff.
Food was decent considering the ambiance - but not a place that should be charging $12 for lemon sherbet after dinner.
I won’t be back
Slow and grumpy service food was good
We had 6 for dinner ...and we were all so very happy with our meals. The food was outstanding from appetizers to salad to our entrees and to dessert. The cocktails were also very delicious. The staff was amazing and very attentive. We were able to spend some much needed friend time and they were very accommodating. We had an awesome time and the food fabulous. We all finished every bite. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and would be happy to return for another meal.
As part of a Hotel on 8th Ave ...close to MSG.,,good before events.
All food, service and prices were good for Manhattan.
The restaurant looks like a hotel coffee shop converted to an Italian restaurant. The staff was very nice and attentive. The food was poor. The Greek salad was basically iceberg lettuce with a few olives, tomatoes and grape leaves. The main courses were all mediocre.
It is convenient to the garden. Other than that - nothing worth going to.
Great food, nice ambiance. I went there with a friend for their birthday and it was a nice pleasant atmosphere. Chef offered a burning candle and wine for birthday girl. Will visit again.
Got sick from our dinner! Never again!
It was meant to be a birthday celebration - nothing was done to make our meal special - the food was way over priced for what we had (I wouldn’t recommend). If you like pizza you’d be insulted eating one here - it was like card board (the waitress said they had a fire oven but it tasted awful). If I could award zero stars I wouldn’t hesitate. The only thing going for it is that it’s close to Madison square garden! Sorry
We were walking up 8th from The Moynihan Train Hall to the theater & spotted this spot in The New Yorker Hotel - the menu looked good so we made a reservation - we had an early, light dinner before heading back home. The food & service were very good, the location is perfect for anyone travelling by train. Trattoria Bianca, we'll be back!
I chose this place since with was near MSG. I was very disappointed , the food was subpar and overpriced.
I won't be coming back.
A nice, quiet place to have a great meal near bustling Penn Station. Adjacent to New Yorker Hotel.
Excellent food!! Very good service!!! Very clean and happy that they follow CDC guidelines!! Highly recommend if in the area or attending an event at MSG!!!
Food was very good and staff was friendly and attentive what else do you need. The surf and turf came with a huge filet and it was excellent!
Trattoria Bianca has become my go to place midtown. Spacious and accommodating enough for business or meeting friends. The staff is very friendly and the food is fresh and menu is extensive. Something for everyone.
Food surprisingly good this location in the shadow of MSG. Not my favorite neighborhood, but if I have to be there a worthy stop.
Return visit for dinner. This place is near MSG and the food is pretty good. Service was a challenge as there was only 1 server for most of the restaurant (it was a Sunday) and I know they haven't brought back a full staff due to Covid. Food was excellent and the server did the best he could with handling the guests. We will definitely return again.
Food was very good, but service was incredibly slow. Cheesecake was also amazing!
