Three Berry Pie
vanilla ice cream, raspberry sauce
Roasted Duck, Basil Walnut Wild Rice, Green Beans Peach Sauce
Short Ribs, Mashed Potatoes, Mushrooms
Other than the table we were first offered, ( but declined, due to its awful location in the middle of the doorway) everything was lovely!
The service was terrible, dinner took almost 3 hours, seemed to be a shortage of waiters and slow kitchen, very unlike them as I have eaten here many times before and never had a problem, was very disappointing
Diane’s is always a great experience ... great food, great staff .. especially Jimmy the Maitre’d... always a favorite
Our server was wonderful and very lovely
We ate outside in the tent and had a wonderful meal
We love this restaurant
Very slow service, the bus staff was very inexperienced and not professional.
Salads and branzino delicious but the chicken on a brick was not good and do not recommend that dish. Outside dining venue has nice vibe.
Fig bouillabaisse needs more liberal application of garlic and saffron in rouille; however seafood cooked to perfection - really enjoyable. The carbonara app could be a creamier texture - taste was still great. Skirt steak was delicious. Desserts - : berry pie and the brownie were great as was the cappuccino. Service and ambiance spot on.
Once again, a consistent meal with some friends! The pasta dishes are very good! I had the Butternut Squash Ravioli on this visit. My wife always enjoys the Baby Lamb Chops. The Brownie topped off the meal!
Had a great meal but discovered they no longer are doing their “Sunday Supper”
Greta deserts duck was tasty a bit overcooked though good food reasonably priced
We went for my birthday dinner. The main dishes were very good. We got the grilled artichoke as an appetizer and it was a bit bland. The music was distracting.
Overall it was enjoyable. The staff was pleasant and attentive.
Great job making the outdoor space into an expanded restaurant
Great food, atmosphere, and service. Consistently great.
Had yet another great meal at Diane's. While the menu could use more frequent changes, what they offer is consistently excellent. We dined in person and had the outside patio to ourselves until right before we left. Diane's always manages to get their pasta cooked exactly right, and the short ribs we had were excellent too.
Excellent setup for outdoor dining with tent , heaters, distanced tables. Dishes, glassware are immaculate. Service is excellent. Food choices are plenty. Chopped salad was lovely, as was burrata. Mains were good- scallops , short ribs , snd ravioli.
It has been quite a while since we have ventured out to a nice restaurant since the pandemic, and we chose to go to Trattoria Diane for a belated Mother's Day early dinner. It was great to be back. As always, excellent service and good, great atmosphere. Staff were very attentive including to our son, and were always on top of things. They brought several rounds of extra bread for him. Desserts, prepared on site, were outstanding as usual.
We sat outside, our table was ready when we arrived. Server was knowledgeable. No wine list, so thought that a tad strange, but not a big deal for us. Everyone was happy with their meal and desserts. Would recommend
Excellent service and atmosphere in the outdoor seating.Truly enjoyed and look forward to returning.
Food is usually v good here but this time branzino was dried out over cooked and basically uneatable
Otherwise place is v good
Never disappoints! The burrata was outstanding as were the baby lamb chops and the carbonara. The three berry pie killed it for dessert! Another winner meal!!
Awesome dinner! Great value for the money- love the location and the cleanliness and menu.
Wonderful Mother’s Day lunch!
Diane treats her customers like treasured family, and she has obviously trained the staff to do the same. The menu is creative and varied, and our only difficulty was deciding which treats to sample. As expected, the meal was spectacular, our servers were very attentive and thoughtful, and the entire experience was a joy.
Lovely dinner, everything was outstanding! Looking forward to visiting again
Excellent in all areas
Reliably great, lovely interior, nice outdoor seating
One of the top culinary experiences the North Shore of LI has to offer.
Beautiful, museum like interior setting.
Need additional sound proofing to mitigate noise levels, than perfection.
Outside dining was lovely. Heaters were by every table Food was delicious We will be back
Phenomenal food and outstanding service. We were encouraged to take our time-no rushing. We hosted friends from out of town and it was absolutely the perfect place to relax and catch up. Every dish was superb from apps to dessert.
As usual, the staff are always warm and friendly. Food great and looking forward to the soft shell crabs on the new menu.
Another wonderful dinner in a beautiful setting. Great food, great staff, great ambience!
Just all around great.
Good food - great service - nice setting.
Lovely in every way
The today's special was bouillabaisse and it was excellent! The broth was unbelievably good and a half of one pound lobster and jumbo shrimp with other seafood. I enjoyed so much!!!
The food is always consistent here! You can never go wrong with any of the pasta dishes or lamb and veal dishes.
Professional, kind staff, made us feel at home. Food as always perfect!
Service was a little slow. Otherwise outstanding.
We haven’t been there in a while and was glad we went back. COVID aware, plenty of space. The menu is a bit limited so check it out before you go to make sure there is something you like available!
Our meals were delicious, exactly what we expect when we come to Diane's. Our salads, beet and wedge were refreshing and quite good. Our entreés excellent. My brick chicken was perfectly cooked as was my partners duck dinner. And with no shame we devoured the mind blowing pecan pie and banana ice cream.
Our server and service was terific.
Here's the rub, When I come to dine at a restaurant such as Diane's I know I'm going to pay a good price and expect to do so with zero qualms.
When I'm seated down I expect the details to be looked after. I was disappointed to find badly spotted silverware. I tried to wipe them clean to no avail. All the silverware was in poor condition. We were brought seratted, wooden handled knives for our enteés (see photo) it's just unacceptable to me that at this level restaurant this would hit the table.
My partner's wine glass was also really a spotted mess too.
I should have called the server over and pointed these things out to her. I wasn't in the mood to have to school anyone.
These are the kind of details that matter.
