Treadwell Farm-to-Table Cuisine- Niagara on the lake
Fantastic first time lunch for six !!! Sat at the bar and had a great time watching the cooks!!!
Food good - although some dishes over promised in terms of expectation and under delivered in terms of flavour.
I’ve never before been asked by a waiter why we didn’t add a tip to our card payment - the way he asked was quite abrupt. He didnt bother to check that we left cash.
We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and the restaurant was perfect. The food was exquisite and the service was excellent. No doubt in my mind we will return. Thank you.
We started with a New York Sour cocktail. James Peden, the Head Sommelier, spoke of this style of cocktail in the latest LCBO Food and Drink magazine.
The seasonal heirloom tomato and peach salad was a lovely twist. Make you understand why it is a summer favourite.
The scallops were cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth.
The beef short ribs were back on the menu.
Treadwell does corkage, which is something we enjoy.
The staff were all extremely helpful and the ambiance was lovely, but the food itself was overpriced. I had the arctic char/lobster and the broth tasted like it was from a can.
We were expecting buffalo mozzarella in the tomato salad, we received another type of cheese. Our server took it back & removed it from our bill.
Top marks on the charcuterie and the mussels. Our server was great & gave us some good recommendation for local fruit stands.
Excellent service and ambiance. The food was creative and delicious - I took one star off only because the cake with the dessert was a little dry (when reported to our server, he immediately took it off of our bill). The sommelier chose an amazing wine to pair with my main dish. Highly recommend - I will be back!
Had an amazing lunch at Treadwell, in prime location on main stroll in town. The salad with saffron buttermilk dressing was outstanding, and their wine list couldn’t be beat! I’ll be returning!
Nice meal centrally locatesd
We went to Treadwell while visiting Niagra on he Lake. It was superb with fantastic service, innovative menu, and top notch food. Would definately recommend and return. Go if you are a foodie!
The food and service were both amazing ! We will be back soon !
Fabulous food, excellent service
A lovely restaurant for a pre theatre lunch or dinner. Everything about it was fantastic. My daughter had the lobster sandwich and said it was the best meal she has ever had!
We had a great dinner with great wine as usual, need to go back again next week !
Thank you so much :-)
Fabulous & fresh & local
When we arrived, we were told " I'll be right with you". (We had a reservation.) Then " I have to seat others first". ( No one waiting.) When he finally came back, he said 'I'll be right back". Here's the impression: I eat at restaurants that take customer service seriously. I expect when I arrive, the host is not scattered and trying to focus on someone else. It may be an ok service experience for some one who does not expect much, but please do not lower your standards to meet the low standards expected by others. I want better service and will not come back anytime soon. Food was only ok, but I expect you to cater to tourists who come from small towns and big ones too. Small town, small experience. Not good. Training, training, training. And go to Toronto, have a meal and experience what real service is.
Service was unacceptably slow. More than 1 1/4 hours and no food, no apology, no explanation, no compensation. Will never return.
Food, service and ambiance were exceptional. However, the ventilation from the kitchen is sub-optimal. Be ready to keep your clothes outside the house.
Awesome. Manuel and Gavin were great. We live here and can’t believe this was our first time (since Port Dalhousie a long time ago). Sommelier was also awesome. Thank you.
Tables too close together for fine dining. Food very well presented. Limited menu
It was an enjoyable evening with exceptional food. It is a bit obnoxious to have to pay for a bread place not only once but twice. When you are paying $600 for a meal
With wine- it is unclear why you would be chag
Had a great time at the kitchen counter area. Food was fabulous. Had an issue with a reservation here last year but they made up for that with some sparking wine.
Our third time to enjoy Treadwell and it didn’t disappoint. Wonderful evening with my bride of 62 years.
Anniversary, We appreciated the glasses of sparkling wine very much.
Food, service and entire experience was excellent. Sat at the counter which is always a wonderful experience.
We very much enjoyed our lunch. The food and service was excellent.
Always grateful for Treadwell’s thoughtful approach to local food & wine. Never rushed, always good service and excellent food.
Birthday celebration. Had a wonderful evening.
Excellent food... could have added more vegetables...
Service very slow and waiter was aloof and inattentive.
Food was fantastic. There were great choices with flavors that made everyone happy. Service was quick. Extensive wine list. Great time watching the chef plate meals and work with entire staff! Just a fun experience!
As always: great service by friendly but not over-familiar staff, greeted by name, drinks did not need to be ordered - the staff knew our choices.
The potato and apple soup was delicious! So smooth. The mussels, as always, were served in their creamy tangy sauce. The entreés were a little pedestrian - but that's only because we were looking for something different from our usual favourites. Don't want to be boring or too predictable!
Another occasion when I could not fault Treadwell. 10/10 and a gold star!
Great wine menu and ambiance - both inside and outside on the patio. Extremely friendly service.
Vegetarian/vegan options are available. Ample time is given between meal courses but the servers also make sure you are finished eating in time if you let them know you have a show (Shaw fest) following dinner.
Great food and ambience. Service was great all around. Will be back again.
Best restaurant on Niagara-on-The-Lake. Definitely going back. Highly recommend.
Celebrated 19th Wedding Anniversary with scallop & chorizo starter followed by the pork & the duck ( special of the day). Paired with glasses of NOTL 13th Street Chardonnay ( starter) & 16 Mile Cellar Pinot Noir 2013 ( mains). Service was excellent and a lovely ambiance. ( we opted to be seated indoors).
It was a fantastic night again enjoying wonderful food and wine. The staff was also great!
The appetizers were very good but we both ordered the halibut and it was disappointing. Lacked flavor and the sauce it was served with was a poor match.
Probably the best kitchen in town
