Being a group of 5 we managed to sample a fair bit of the set menu. The food was outstanding and beautifully presented. The desserts though were ok and didn’t quite hit the spot. It was hard to taste any salted caramel in the dessert. Service was really good and overall an excellent night. I would definitely recommend Tredwells and will come back again.
This is my second visit and I enjoyed the food, service, wine, ambience as much as my first visit. Elegant presentation, great balance of flavours and ingredients and good wine. Also, we could hear each other! What more could you ask for.
Booked lunch upon recommendation from a friend who is a food blogger.....great meal and service!
Excellent meal yet again at Tredwells. On arrival even though we were early started off with Cocktails which were amazing, Went to our table early, and the service from them on was faultless. The food was so good and staff so attentive. Even made a special effort for my husbands birthday which was a lovely touch.
Love going to Tredwells and will go there again.
Nice feel to the restaurant - decor and layout both good. Enjoyed our meal, but let down by having to send side dishes with main meal back twice. Sending out tepid food once isn’t great, but to send it back and for it to be sent out again with the same issue was really poor. Shame really, as that will be the thing I remember, otherwise good food and venue.
Great experience, we had the £33 offer with free GnT. The plates weren't large but sufficient and well done. The staff were excellent, very helpful without being too obtrusive.
Meagre portions of quite astonishingly bland food made this a real disappointment for us. The restaurant is stylish, the presentation of the food is good and the service prompt but the sheer lack of taste in any of our starters, mains and puddings left us certain we would never come here again, regardless of any offers.
Great food and service. Would definitely go there again.
Enjoyed the ambience and appreciate the attention to detail when it comes to their food and from staff.
Had a lovely meal and would definitely visit again.
Everything was very good, from the welcome, to the pace of service, the lovely cocktails and wonderfully prepared food. Will definitely be back!
We had a delicious meal at Tredwells with some well made G&Ts.
The team looked after my gluten allergy and I had a fabulous meal - and did not miss out on anything at all.
The service was fantastic as usual. We felt the special/set menu was fantastic value for money. We look forward to returning the next time we are in London.
Booked as part of Marcus Wareing group. Food was good as was service. Only surprise was it was Saturday night and only 2 tables booked. Atmosphere wasn't bad despite lack of people
Very good food! Lovely cheerful service! Ambience a tad harsh - “wall tiles like a Victorian urinal” was a comment. Overall a great success
Everything was fine taking into account the price and location. The staff attentiveness and knowledge of menu was very good. I would come back here again for sure.
Excellent service and food. Set menu very good value.
Excellent cocktails, food and service. All delicious and would highly recommend. Also good vegetarian options.
We had an excellent lunch at Tredwells. The quality of the food and service was outstanding.
The choice for starters was so good, we ended up ordering quite a few starters and skipped the mains!
Tredwells always delivers and tonight was no exception. It was an impromptu celebration. The four course special offer was fabulous. I'd always recommend it!
This was my third visit to Tredwells having been there about a year ago but previous visits were at weekends. This time it was on Thursday evening at 7pm. I arrived early at 6.45 and was given a table by the window but when I ordered an opening cocktail that did not materialise till 7.05. The food was excellent as one would expect from a Marcus Wareing establishment. We had the £33 four course set menu with Gin and Tonic included which was well presented and delightful. The only exception I took on a meal was for a small basket of fries, albeit thrice cooked with a mayo dip at £5.50 extra ! My main issue however was that the service was not to the same standard as other Marcus establishments such as the Gilbert Scott or even a good competent restaurant bWhilst I won’t compare it to the main Marcus site at the Berkeley Hotel as that is a Michelin two star restaurant, when I informed the waiting staff that the glass of desert wine was corked there was complete bafflement as they apparently had never heard of a wine being corked. Granted they took the delayed cocktail off the bill and did not include service but having been a MW fan was disappointed that the overall experience did not quite live up to what I expect from a MW establishment. Though the manager was efficient and friendly you don’t want to be calling on the manager to serve you every time. Mr Wareing this is a great concept place for casual dining but needs to up its game sir, to live up to your brand and restaurant reputation.
We ordered the set menu which was varied enough and generally good value if you don’t order anything else. However we went for extra bread, a side each and a few bottles of wine which is where they got us! All extras added up and the wine list was rather expensive for what we got (generic picpul for £47 and a fruity Malbec for £54 :/). Service was great however with knowledgeable and helpful staff. Overall a nice experience but the price point pushes this restaurant to something that you would expect to be fancier but isn’t... it’s a casually trendy place with a high price tag.
Loveley atmosphere, very attentive and welcoming staff. Food good value for price - portion size was good and it tasted great. The duck I had was cooked to perfection. The puddings were summery and delicious.
We went for our anniversary and were given a very cute serving of truffles in honour of this. We though this was very cute and was unexpected, but definitely appreciated!
Would definitely go back again.
Genuine and friendly welcome. Staff professional and energetic.
Set price lunch: be warned the ‘gin & tonic’ offer means Hendrick’s or nothing. No replacement offered. So as a result, one part of the offer was not delivered. Food was good quality, well cooked and presented. Slightly pricey for a lunchtime offer.
This was my second time at Tredwells and the experience was just as good. The food is very good with a great choice and the service excellent. There was a delay in delivering our desert and the team were very proactive in apologising and compensating us for it.
It's a great venue for a pre or post theatre meal.
First class as always. Great food and excellent attentive service! Very safe bet and guaranteed quality evening!
Great meal at Tredwells. We had the plant based menu and could not fault one dish. All the food was beautifully presented and cooked. They definitely saved the best to last - the peanut butter pudding and chocolate sorbet.
One of the best restaurants in London, food, service and drinks choice are all excellent.
Absolute fabulous meal - my friend's daughter was vegan and she enjoyed it. Will definitely come again
Very good restaurant lovely interior fantastic service quite pricey but well worth it. Great kids menu as well very much enjoyed by all
Made a welcome change to sheekeys before the theatre excellent service and very good food
We've been having a "Marcus moment". Having stayed and eaten at The Berkeley last month (beyond fabulous) we were keen to try Tredwells. Different of course but just as enjoyable!Delicious food was served by friendly, efficient staff. Excellent wine list too and all served in an unhurried but timely way.
Tredwells never fails to deliver delicious food, great wine matching, and excellent service. They can turn around a 3 course meal in just over an hour - perfect for pre-theatre dinner. Why compromise??
Not too happy about being banished to the mezzanine when there were plenty of empty tables on the ground floor. Not overly impressed by the pianist. Food OK; particularly good pud. House red very acceptable.
Service can be somewhat erratic but still in the plus side.
Food is consistently good.
All in all a nice experience but it is a little too expensive for what it is.
Have been before with my partner.
This time took my mum for her birthday.
Food, service and ambiance were excellent.
Can not find a reason to fault
Impeccable service and food. Lovely setting but a bit quieter than expected for a Saturday night.
Absolutely lived up to expectations! The staff were exceptional. My only disappointment was the cheese board, although maybe I’m just spoiled from the local Scottish cheeses I’m used to.
Absolutely superb evening at Tredwells from start to finish. From the outstanding customer service (I phoned ahead to explain that my partner was vegan and every single care was taken to ensure we knew what we were eating!) to the sensational tasting menu, I couldn't recommend this place any more if I tried. Bravo.
Amazing venue, great food and the service was exceptional!
From arrival, throughout our meal, and to leaving, we were hugely impressed by the staff, food and ambience at Tredwells.
The menu has a good variety, making great use of seasonal produce and all the dishes we tried were cooked to an exceptionally high standard. The staff were very knowledgeable about the ingredients in the dishes and the accompanying drinks. They were also extremely efficient and professional and, much to their credit, did this without making us feel uncomfortable.
The whole experience was enjoyable, relaxing and memorable and I cannot recommend Tredwells highly enough. The quality of the chefs' cooking skills and the relaxed professionalism of the waiting staff a credit to the restaurant.
Great food although disappointing to be charged on the receipt for the deserts when selecting a set menu with only a minimal apology for the overcharging.
