Delicious, freshly prepared Japanese cuisine which was well presented.
I’m a regular. The food, service and location is perfect.
The staffs provided good service and sashimi is so fresh.
It was the worst experience in London. The manager of the restaurant is so rude. Food was okey, but with this manager we could not enjoy at all.
Such a delightful little gem . Do book ahead as it’s always packed !
Great sashimi and a decent atmosphere for a hotel restaurant.
Immaculate service with an intimate dining experience
A delicious lunch accompanied by an excellent range of saké. The butter fish, yellow tail and smoked eel were particularly good, as was the wagyu beef.
Very enjoyable set menu, ideal option for lunch in the area.
Wonderful service, excellent food and generally a great experience. Would go back again!
It's by far the best Japanese in London I have been to even I am from Hong Kong!! Good value and cozy environment. Only thing is the Russian waitresses didn't seem to know what they are doing and not attentive at all.
A small and cosy place, bookings are recommended as seats are limited and it's always busy. Good location for shopping. The sushi and sashimi is always a good standard.
The food is excellent if you're looking for some authentic Japanese. Not the cheapest but the quality of both sashimi/sushi and cooked dishes is worth it. Service could be warmer. Lunch sets are good value. A cosy restaurant so it's better for one-to-one dining.
Worst service I have ever seen and I do dine out a lot! The manager should be fired! Food strictly ok.
Meals was pretty good. Service, not at all. They took our plates way to fast. Forgot to bring us one order. Told us during desert!
This restaurant is a small room on the front of the hotel. It only holds about 15-20 covers max so it is a quiet place. A few settings allow you to view the chef preparing the food but not the table we had. We chose the tasting menu - the food was excellent quality but was brought to us in a different sequence to that billed. The head waiter was french which was a little odd in a sushi restaurant, but he was good. We rejected our desserts - we didn't like them - and he happily replaced them for a different dessert for no fee. The food had virtually no carbohydrate in it which would have improved it and been more satisfying. Wine was quite pricey so overall it wasn't especially good value. Won't be hurrying back.
Great sushi. We had the tasting menu, which was a good introduction to both the classic and modern dishes they offer. My only complaint would be that the dishes came out much too promptly. As soon as one was finished, the next one arrived, meaning that the whole meal was over far too quickly.
Good sushi. But not enthusiastic about it.
Very fresh and excellent sushi / sashimi. Set menus for lunch are good value.
Went for the lunch set. Food was great, very well presented. Good value for the location. Service was quick but everyone seemed grumpy.
High quality sushi, well presented, reasonably priced for the location. Discreet and efficient service.
I have been to this restaurant many times and the food never fail to impress. The guests I have brought to Tsukiji love the food.
The food was delicious.
As soon as we had finished our dishes, sometime not even done with it, dishes were removed from the table, as it they wanted to get rid of us asap. The restaurant was not full. Drinks are overpriced
When we came into restaurant with reserved table, manager was surprised and said there was no booking on our name. We showed a confirmation of reservation, but manager said there is still NO booking on our name and maybe the reservation form was sent to late. HOWEVER we sent reservation 2 HOURS before lunch. It's seems like other people were sat on our table. IT IS ABSOLUTELY INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR OF MANAGER!
Having never had a Japanese meal outside of supermarket offerings, that's the pain of living in the country i took the opportunity of visiting this restaurant whilst staying over night for business in London.
I explained whilst booking by e-mail that this was the first time and I would like some guidance. When I arrived they immediately acknowledged me and confirmed that they would be happy to assist. Without prompting which was impressive.
I have no qualms about trying new foods and am pretty adept at using chopsticks so the waiter took my instruction to "feed me". Thus I did not know what I was having until it arrived.
I must admit the yellow tail Tuna sashimi starter blew me away, delicate flavour and a light citrus soy sauce to dip into. Equally the salmon and citrus dressed salad was great. My Tempura was crisp and tasty but if there was a disappointment it was the soft-shelled crab which whilst tasty was just a tad greasy - not been drained long enough. California Make was lovely.
Overall 4 stars - very expensive although I did not hold back!
It's so expensive in terms of their food, it's not worth.
We had the bigger sushi set with eleven kinds of sushi and were blown away by the quality of the fish. We also ordered some rolls which were quite good without being spectacular. At this price point you would expect a bit more finesse. The service was also fell below expectation, but the sheer sumptuousness of the fish made up for it all.
Great combination of sushi, sashimi, grilled dishes and stunning appetisers! One of my long time favourites! If you want Tokyo quality, this would not disappoint, the fish is flown in daily from Japan!
Love the sushi here, as well as the ambiance and the attentive service. Will be back again and again.
Dinner was served at a very high standard! The food were awesome especially the black cod and salmon. Prickle's price was too expensive. Alittle bit disappointed for a Japanese restaurant because they don't have katsu curry or typically Japanese dishes that served at normal Japanese restaurant. But the quality of current menu has cover up this issue. Definitely will come again.
Thoroughly enjoy the food here, really really outstanding.
Service was good.
It was very dead though.....and it was 7:30 on a Friday. No atmosphere.
I would definitely recommend it solely dow to the food.
definitely on the pricey side though!!!
We have been here many times. Always had a wonderful experience, with excellent sushi (superb butterfish) and tentative service without being too fussy.
Just like being in Tokyo, especially the high prices.
A real gem of a place. Been there several times and keep going back. The food is absolutely lovely, especially the seared sashimi which literally melts in your mouth. My partner and I ordered 3 potions one after another as we could not get enough. Mind you, the potions are a bit dainty, but so worth it. Agadashi tofu is pretty good too. Sunomono salad is lovely but a bit too pricy for the potion size. Wagyu beef never disappoints. A must try are the 'modern (maki) rolls' as they are unique to the restaurant. Quite impressive. Service is warm, welcoming and very professional. The manager is always attentive and makes you feel like the most important client there!
I really enjoyed my dinner at Tsukuji Sushi.I had sashimi and sushi and they were absolutely amazing. The price was high, but definitely worth the food I had. The atmosphere is nice and quiet and the waitresses and the manager were very welcoming and paid attention to every request I had.
I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.
Restaurant is tiny but well decorated and on the ground level of a hotel. My companion and I got the impression that most guests at Tsukiji Sushi were staying in the hotel.
Service was very prompt and friendly, even though we felt a bit rushed as if they needed our table as quickly as possible. The menu is full of specialities and expensive sake. I sticked to well-known classics and it was absolutely delicious. Tableware was beautiful and heavy. I do not regret that we've been there. When we left the restaurant we've realised that we have spent more time there than we thought. I guess that is a good sign.
Go there if you want to try something new of the Japanese cuisine.
Having given a contact the opportunity to choose a cuisine, I found Tsukiji on toptable and booked. Unfortunately, while the food was amazing, the price of the wine was utterly ridiculous. Cheapest white - £38 if I remember correctly which seems extortionate. I would only recommend those with expense accounts or teetotalers visit this otherwise sweet and inoffensive ideally located venue.
Shockingly terrible service and over-priced, uncreative sushi that was just OK makes this spot a perfect solution for those that do not know better. There are much better places in London to go that have much better service and sushi. I will spend my time there... as opposed to here.
Attentive staff and amazing food. On the expensive side but great quality justified the cost. Possibly a little heavy on the wasabi though!
The sushi was as nice as any in London and the staff charming. However, the salads were overdressed and the restaurant lacked charm.
