great food, good location (although no parking lot and no valet) found street parking. low key spot. very friendly and accommodating staff and chefs. will be back.

Chef was amazing, Food was yummy. I made reservations for the bar, when we arrived we were seated at a table which was fine but a bar spot opened right after and I requested to move and they said it was fine so we did. Later, a couple walked in the owner came up and told us that we weren’t allowed to sit there because she has given the seats to them... but we sat there prior to them even arriving and also I requested bar on my reservations so that was really irritating. She was rude and was yelling at the waiter when it wasn’t even his fault. Other than that we enjoyed the food and made sure to eat quickly so we could leave ASAP.
Wonderful food, the fish is fresh and so delicious. It’s a very small but comfortable place. The staff and owner and great too. We were given an ice cream fish which was a nice treat.
This was the MOST awful dining experience I’ve ever had. We sat at the sushi bar and it took them 20 minutes to take our order. After an hour of waiting we had not got any of our sushi order. We alerted the manager, who was completely drunk and taking shots of sake with other guests. We alerted the chefs, but they were both drunk as well, and could not get our order together. We will never, ever go here again. They were rude and we never were served all of our order in the end, after two and half hours.

And then on top of that, you ordered MORE. As you may have realized, we were EXTREMELY that night and because all our food is made to order, it does take some time to serve your food. Yes, the chefs and the managers do causal drinking with our customers, but we were not drunk, just busy. Thanks for your time!

The sushi was decent, it was better the last time I was there. The service the same. Maybe because it was a slower night. I do think the sushi is overpriced for the quality. But the people working there are so nice
I tried this place for the first time with 8 of my family members and we loved every bit of it. The food was delicious (especially the oyster shooters and soft shell crab) and perfectly prepared, and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back! Highly recommended!
The service was horrible and slow. We waited way too long for all our food, I found a piece of hair in my sushi, and the staff were slow to tend us. Wouldn’t go back nor would I recommend.

We had a party of 12. They included a 20% tip which made the bill $505.70. My mother paid cash. $505 flat. The waitress had the nerve to come back and demand the extra .70. I gave her $1. Needless to say she didn’t bring my .30 change. When you leave an $80 tip, demanding an extra .70 seems absurd and like horrible service.
Sorry you felt that the actions were absurd and horrible. Although we do receive cash and there is a 20% tip included, we do have to make sure that the register is matching at the end of night. We tried to bring your $0.30 change back to you, you guys have all left. Once again, sorry to have made you feel horrible, but hope you understand from our point as well!
Food wasn’t bad. However, the service that day was unfriendlier than usual. Maybe it was a slow day.

We really liked out experience here. The fish was very fresh and the prices were quite reasonable. I also liked that the sushi didn't have too much rice. The black snapper sushi is superb! It was a special on the day we went and everyone at the table raved about it. The service was very good - attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. We will definitely be back!
Let me start out by saying I’ve been to Tsuri quite a few times. It’s one of my favorite sushi places. I’m also Celiac, so I stick to sashimi only with gluten free Tamari. I even put this in the special requests when I book.
I went in on Friday before an event and had dinner. I ordered what I normally order, yellowtail, salmon belly, and albacore sashimi. I explained to the server very explicitly that I want plain fish only, nothing on it. They sometimes put ponzu (which has soy sauce-gluten in it) on I believe the albacore. I ate the first two plates and the albacore came after. Sure enough, it had onions soaked in ponzu on it. I called the woman over who I believe is a manager and explained I asked for plain fish, I can’t have ponzu on it, I have an allergy. She said ok and took the fish away. A minute later she came back with what looked like a new plate of fish. I thought that was kind of quick to cut it, but just assumed the chef is fast. I started eating a few pieces when suddenly I noticed a small piece of ponzu soaked onion underneath one. I was confused and thought...ok maybe this isn’t? I had already eaten most of the fish but left a piece on the plate. Sure enough I got sick about 30 minutes later. They just took the onions off and wiped the fish and plate. If you have any sort of food allergy, you know that doesn’t work. It happens at a molecular level.
Really bummed out about the experience here and will most likely have to find a new regular sushi spot.
Worst service I’ve ever had at any sushi place. Period. Sat us at 7. Didn’t take our order until 7:30. By the time we got our food it was 8:25-8:30. I can see how careless the staff can be when they are drinking sake on the job and drunk to the point where other customers are laughing at how drunk the staff is. They also charged us 20% gratuity automatically. I will never return.

My absolute go to sushi restaurant. Service and food always on point! Wendy is so very accommodating and welcoming.
I probably would recommend Tsuri, though I've certainly had better sushi. The service was excellent and it is nice inside. The neighborhood was a little rough at night for an 18 year old and 76 year old with us.

The food was excellent and fish was super fresh. Had it not been for the mediocre/borderline rude service, we would probably go back. Note to management: it is considered rude to seat a party an immediately tell them there is a time limit for the meal. I’ve only had that happen at AYCE places and never at a regular sit-down restaurant. We had a reservation for a party of four, so it wasn’t like we were taking up half the restaurant. And to say “we are fully booked tonight, so there is a two-hour limit on the table,” and be rushed through ordering made us feel unwelcome. We likely would have ordered a lot more food and drinks if we weren’t given the time limit. When we left, half the restaurant was still empty. Too bad!
It took 50 minutes for our food to be served and the waiters seemed to be purposefully ignoring us. The food itself was good, but not worth the environment.
My date and I were pleasantly surprised by how great the food and service was.
I recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Sushi!!

I went here for an early NYE dinner, and had a very nice time. The food was good, the beer and sake was as reasonably priced as you can get in LA. There were a few things like the Baked Crab hand roll was way too fishy, and the Spanish Mackerel wasn't the best, but everything else we had was great. They have a large selection of cut rolls, and I feel like that is the thing to focus on when dining out there, although the Nigiri sushi was good as well, but we stuck to the basics (salmon, tuna, yellowtail). We had a 2 year old with us, and they had all the necessary things (cups with lids, a good attitude) to deal with her as well.
Food is great and the sashimi so fresh. Shrimp tempura hand roll has 2 shrimps in it! We had a family gathering there and everybody from 2 years old to 84 enjoyed the food very much.
Easily the best sushi I’ve ever had. Everything we had melted in your mouth. The service was very good, friendly and professional. Place was a little small which made it difficult to hear the person you’ re with.
Great for business meeting or casual dining. Family friendly, not ideal for dates.

Staff was not friendly at all. Sushi chefs made us feel like we were a burden to their prep work. Sushi was good - not great. Ambiance light was way too bright.
