Tudor Barn Ratings and Reviews
Ideal place for lunch and a good catch up with friends. Lovely environment, but restaurant is sometimes closed, but a very cosy area with tables and sofa’s are available, only issue is there is no waitress service in this area. Bar staff were very friendly and the food came very quickly and was deslicious, we will return again, in either the restaurant or the lounge area.
My 2 sisters and I took my father and his wife here, to celebrate my dads 90th birthday.
We were thoroughly looked after by waitresses Christine and Eleni.
Food was perfect. My dad said his steak was perfect. So, compliments to the chef.
We all agreed that we would eat at The Tudor Barn again.
It was a fantastic evening.
Had a family get together. Ate 3 courses and it was delicious. We all enjoyed the food very much. The waitress was excellent and the atmosphere was very comfortable and friendly. Would highly recommend. We will certainly be going again. The outdoor cinema started while we were there, but it didn't disturb us at all.
Haven't been to the Tudor Barn for years, it wasn't always a nice place to go, however, friends had advised it's changed hands and it's fab, they weren't wrong. Really easy to book the table, a variety of styles, outside dining, bar food or restaurant. Decorated really well, clean and very friendly efficient staff, good value for money, great choice on the menu, even afternoon tea, highly recommend, will definately go again, this occasion was a friends get together, which was perfect for us and we were able to catch up and have great food, with great company - a must go to venue, thanks to you all at the Tudor Barn.
What a hidden gem! I brought my friend here for her 70 th Birthday. Staff were extremely helpful. The only downside ( not Tudor Barn staff fault) is that there is no parking on site so I had to park at Eltham station. Other than that, I would thoroughly recommend this place.
I went back Tudor barn to celebrate my 1st wedding anniversary. We received a lovely welcome, free bottle of bubbly and did not feel rushed to eat our food.
I would definitely recommend to friends and family and will be visiting there soon. It was such a great atmosphere.
The food was very tasty and the service very good, except when we wanted to pay. After bringing us the bill the waitress didn't return so we went to the bar.
It is a nice restaurant/pub with beautiful surroundings, therefore it is a shame they don't do table service outside.
Having used the Tudor Barn now on several occasions we find the place charming and the staff always attentive and great food.
This time however there was a function on in the upstairs room and the service was not up to usual standard.
We often have the Chateaubriand when it is on a deal and have alway in the past had a great steak.
This time however the steak although edible was in fact a bit on the tough side.
As I said this is the first time it has not been up to par and I hope it was a one off glitch.
Had the festive afternoon tea which was served well but very basic. We weren't asked which tea just given a pot of tea!! The sandwiches were very fresh and nice. The scones were mini scones as were the mince pies!!! Then it was just a couple of sweets on the top layer with one decorated Santa biscuit!! Do not think it was worth £20 each!!
Myself and my fiancé came to The Tudor Barn as a belated Valentines meal. We decided to go for the Sunday lunch which was delicious. Dessert was amazing also. The grounds of the Tudor Barn are stunning and full of playful squirrels. We definitely will be returning. We may even book for our wedding. Recommended.
Visited Tudor Barn restaurant in Eltham, SE London on 21/3/12 and was more than satisfied with the service. The staff were efficient and friendly without being too intrusive. Our mackeral and beetroot starter was excellent as was the sirloin steak, although the desert was a little dissapointing. Will definitely be going again - the menu changes after 23/3/12 so looking foward to 'what's new'.
We had a wonderful evening at The Tudor Barn Eltham, I called to make reservation explaining I would like to use my Tastecard they kindly pointed out they had a better offer on their website buying a voucher which we did. Good atmosphere, wonderful food would definiately go back again and recommend to friends.
Tudor Barn Eltham
Lovely venue and setting. Sunday lunch for 10 was lovely. Service was good - we weren't rushed, despite some of our party arriving late! Only slip up was that the £100 deposit wasn't initially deducted from our bill, but that was soon rectified. We would all visit again.
I have been to Tudor Barn in its many guises over the years.... Carvery and Gallery (nice but not high quality) pub (attracted the lower end of clientele) and now restaurant bar... perfectly decorated, attentive staff, like minded people who enjoy their food, lovely ambience and excellent food. My only downside was the GORGEOUS fish pie was WAY too small. Especially for £10... it was the size of a starter.... larger pie please Chef but keep up the amazing work. didnt accept taste card :o( ??
