Interesting place to eat here n a popular part of Oxford so do book. Probably better for main meals as lack of choice for lighter meals or brunch- we Ended up with soup which was delicious but more bread with it would have been good

Trendy and friendly bustling venue - not too noisy and good for an informal business meeting. Food mostly brunch style. All lovely, well presented and quality ingredients but the bubble & squeak could have done with more seasoning / flavour. Very enjoyable - we'd go back again.

I always eat here while in Oxford, I loved the daily menu with locally sourced ingredients. Disappointingly this has now changed, the menu is dull and nothing out of the ordinary.

Ambiance pleasantly informal and food as ever was tasty and well priced but we waited an hour for our main course. On chasing/complaining (we had an alumni event to get to so time was of the essence but we had thought a booking 1.5 hours before the event would be plenty) we were told that they only had two chefs working and we were given 25% off our bill.

We have been many timed in the past and loved TSK. Unfortunately today was not great. The new all day menu is a disappointment given we came for the Sunday roast which is no longer offered. The radish and tomato salad had no radishes and the tomatoes were not fresh (they were very tired). The fish and chips was way too breaded and was more like you would expect from a cheap pub. Disappointing all round. Please bring back the old menu (and chef?)!

Not their fault entirely - I booked using OpenTable on a recommendation, looking for an 8.00pm table (for 5) but the only one available was 9.30pm so booked that. However the restaurant told us when we got there their latest sitting was 9.00pm and they'd tried but failed to get hold of us (no evidence of a call/email though) - they seated us and rushed us through the service but it was very much a feeling of 'here you go, finish up and get out of here please'. They were nice but obviously wanted to head on home. Plus my main course (beetroot and something tart) was pretty tasteless and cold with tough, non-crispy pastry, and my starter (some leaves and salady things) was over-cinnamoned. However my friends quite liked theirs, mostly. Won't rush back.

Loved the set up, staff very friendly. Great food good value. Perhaps the only hiccup was 1 of our party received their order late as the guy taking the order forgot to add his request on the system! Would definitely visit again thanks

Food was nice but the chips were under done with hard uncooked pieces in the middle. Try cooking for longer or cutting smaller! Mackerel on the salad was a very small portion and not many raisins in the accompanying salad either

Absolutely adored the service and food!! It was our anniversary and we decided to visit Oxford for the weekend. We went to Turl Street for lunch. When we checked into our reservation, they immediately wished us a happy anniversary and provided complementary Prosecco. It was incredibly sweet and the Prosecco was delicious! The food at Turl Street was fantastic. We started off with their soup of the day which was carrot and ginger. So flavorful! Loved it! I then had the chicken salad, which was fresh and delicious. Strongly recommend the restaurant for its amazing food and service. I wish we had gone back for dinner!

Turl Street Kitchen food was aiming to be individual but just falled short of the mark. My fish ( fish and chips) was overdone and tasteless. My partner had the lamb which was well cooked and presented but looked bereft without a side vegetable - it would have been helpful if the waitress had asked if a vegetable was wanted to go with it. He also had the cheeseboard. For £10 a selection of crackers was expected rather than the 6 (approx) plain crackers just thrown on the plate. Not a bad restaurant but could do better.

The pastry for the Beetroot and Courgette Goats Cheese Quiche was thin and very crisp. Quite the best I've ever had.

Quiet calm in bustling Oxford. Good food, not to expensive with a reasonable choice. Good service as well. Must visit the toilets! Look like they are in an old crypt.

Really lovely place. Only one thing that marked the service down was that once we had finished our mains and although the waitress had walked past us a few time after 15 mins I had to ask her to take our plates away. This aside it really is a lovely place with great food. Staff were really friendly and helpfully when asking about the menu.

Good atmosphere and great service throughout. We like to have a jug of tap water on the table and this was refilled regularly throughout the evening. We both loved the trout starter but were disappointed in the lamb koftas with couscous, mainly because every mouthful tasted the same. Just personal taste but I didn't like the large couscous which reminded me of cold tapioca ( I like tapioca but not with koftas). The figs were ok, quite strongly flavoured with vanilla, but I wouldn't have them again. So a pleasant evening but the food did not live up to previous visits.

Very disappointing. Have eaten well here before, but Certainly couldn’t recommend now. Every course very slow arriving, and we had to abandon the desserts we’d ordered as they were so slow. Choices very limited. All the food was disappointing too. What’s happened?

Pleasant food from a short lunch menu. Fish and chips were ok but a bit dry and reminded me of Ikea food! The staff were pleasant but a bit overworked. The restaurant was very hot and packed and we and several people had to ask several times for the aircon to be switched on. It was also incredibly noisy - in the end we gave up trying to chat and didn't bother with dessert.

Please train the staff so that they have some knowledge of what they are serving - e.g. the beers.

It was pleasant enough. Food, service and atmosphere all good but on the pricier side for what it was. The wine was pretty average at an expensive price too.

Lovely dinner as always! High quality, unpretencious food from good quality, local ingredients. Vegetarian barley risotto with goat cheese cream was excellent, my companion thought it was the best risotto she's ever had. Perfect, light and crispy fish & chips. We wouldn't have changed anything.

We love the atmosphere in the TSK. It’s such a cool place and a great location too. We had the friendliest smiliest waitress who was v attentive. I preferred the normal mid week menu to the Father’s Day special. But that’s obviously personal preference. I will be back. Thank you

I wanted to give these guys a perfect score, but when I arrived they seemed to have forgotten to update their system and were taken by surprise. This seemed to cause some consternation among the servers. It took them a minute to figure it out, but eventually they did. There was a moment when I thought they might not be able to seat me. Crisis averted, I had a wonderful chicken risotto and a lovely glass of wine. For desert I had the glazed figs with a creamy whipped ricotta and drizzled with vanilla stock syrup. Honestly it was delicious. The service was wonderful and I would absolutely go back. Just hope my reservation doesn't get ignored again.
