Tutti Matti serves traditional, authentic Tuscan cuisine, prepared using only fresh seasonal ingredients. We also feature a wood fired pizza oven .
Everything is made in-house, including our fresh bread and pastas. Some dishes are permanent productions of our kitchen — gnudi, pinci, pappardelle, tagliatelle. Others are more seasonal, like stuffed zucchini flowers in the summers and polpetta and hearty soups in the winter. From day one, we have served venison, wild boar, fennel pork sausage and we love to produce delectable trays of antipasto, which change seasonally and daily (sometimes even mid‐service!)

TM had been recommended as a great place where having a conversation over dinner would be pleasant, food good and interesting and in the downtown core. Service was attentive and generous. I have already recommended to others and will be back.

The food was great - freshly made, creative yet traditional and obviously with a lot of passion. We were seated at a table against the entrance vestibule under some bright lights. We asked about another spot but were told every table was reserved. The restaurant was never more than half full and the tables we proposed remained empty throughout our 2.5 hour dinner. The owner made her way around the room having conversations with seemingly everyone but us. I think maybe she knew many of the diners as regulars but a check-in would have been nice. And perhaps we'd become regulars!
The food is always excellent as they use seasonal ingredients like a peach and tomato salad I’m September. Have never been disappointed.

The service and food were beyond great! I was hosting some of my key customers at our annual convention location dinner and this meal exceeded not only mine, but my customers expectations. Our server (Pancho?) provided exceptional recommendations including wine, appetizers and main courses. I will be recommending this establishment to everyone I know that is planning on visiting Toronto!
Like a trip to Tuscany. Delicious, authentic Tuscan food, excellent wine list. When in Toronto we always make a point of eating here, and are always so happy we did!
Food was nothing special. Waitress was not that helpful. Would not go back
Not terrible but, nothing memorable. Service was reasonable, but again not great. (Did not even ask our party if we wanted coffee). We were seated at 8:30 and by the time we finished dinner at around 10:30, it appeared that the staff was more interested in going home above anything else. I guess I expected more bang for the buck. I didn't get it. Not sure I would go back.

I would’ve liked to see a few more dishes that weren’t so heavy maybe using chicken or fish. The pizza bread was amazing so imagine the pizza would be great. I had the brisket pasta and my husband had the boar ragu. We thought it was ok. But everything is shareable so that makes it a better value if you split dishes.
Very short handed, waitress and waiters not as friendly/professional as experienced at other restaurants. Happy with the food, disappointed with the service.
When we were shown to our table, there was a large piece of broken glass on the banquet where I was to sit. I pointed this out to our male server who removed the glass. When I went to sit down, I noticed there were a few more pieces further down the banquet. The server seemed surprised and a bit bothered by this but he removed those as well. We were given a perfunctory ´sorry’. The waiter was surly throughout the meal which detracted from the wonderful food.
They didn’t do anything for my birthday but the food was amazing
We were on the last night of our vacation from the US. This was an outstanding place for our last dinner in Toronto. The food choices were creative and we had trouble limiting our order when we obviously could not take "doggie bags" with us. I would highly recommend the short ribs. Cooked perfectly! My only regret is that, due to distance, we cannot make this a regular place for a night out.
A truly exceptional night out at Tutti Matti. The menu is simple and well-thought out. The chef and owner, Alida Solomon, welcomed us and explained the menu, showing an affection for the food, the craft of making great dishes, and the art of hosting people. That doesn't happen much at most restaurants, let alone have it done by the chef. The pasta was perfectly cooked, flavoured to perfection, and the pizza was simple, elegant, and not overwhelming. The freshness of the ingredients stands out with specials on the menu reflecting seasonal delicacies like ricotta-stuffed zucchini flowers. I can't recommend this place enough and it was a reminder why I need to go back again soon.

Another great lunch at Tutti Matti! Myself and some colleagues enjoyed an al fresco lunch sitting by the open doors at the front of the restaurant, perfect for a beautiful summer day! We enjoyed some seasonal starters of lightly battered and fried, stuffed zucchini blossoms and grilled strawberries and peaches with prosciutto. I was in the mood for the classic open faced porchetta sandwich, piled sky high with chef Alida’s famous slow roasted pork and topped with the addictive tonnato mayo. My friends had the wonderfully summery fettuccini with fresh peas and the classic margherita pizza, they thoroughly enjoyed their dishes. As always Alida is a wonderful host and our server Linda was lovely!

I've been to Tutti Matti a half-dozen times and I've never been disappointed always great service and food. Having an Italian heritage from the Tuscan region I know and can appreciate true Tuscan cooking and Tutti Matti get it right everytime. Great time as usual!!

Nice pleasant Italian food but I was hoping for more. I've had similar meals in other restaurants. Very pleasant outing however and the service was impeccable and the wine list and recommendations very good. I could recommend Tutti Matti to a friend provided their expectations were tempered.
Had a brilliant lunch at Tutti Matti today! From the time we walked in the door, Alida, the chef and owner welcomed us with open arms! Our server was wonderful, explained the specials and recommended a yummy bottle of Lambrusco, perfect for a fun lunch with some old friends! We started with a fried pizza dough and prosciutto appetizer that was light and airy, not greasy at all. I had the porchetta open-face sandwich, piled high with the flavourful pork and unreal tonnato mayo! My one friend had the fettuccini with the flavours of spring, snap peas, pea shoots, peas, rosemary and pancetta, delicious! Not to mention the perfectly al-dente pasta that Alida makes in-house. My other friend had the Stella Cy pizza, with artichokes, prosciutto cotto, fontina and Fiore di latte. I had to steal a small slice, it looked so good and it did not disappoint! The toppings were so perfectly paired together, but I can’t say enough about the dough... that dough!! It was light and fluffy with the right amount of chew and the flavour of properly proofed bread. We did not leave one piece of crust on the plate! Needless to say, we left stuffed and happy. I highly recommend Tutti Matti for lunch or dinner, amazing meal and experience!!
The worst service I have ever experienced from my recent memories. The service was so disinterested in our group, he was ignoring us pretty much most of the night! He would try to say something to us while walking away to attend another table. Didn’t ask how our food was or didn’t even bother to refill our water glasses. Brushing us off at the end by telling us the pastry chef had to leave at 930p so we better order our dessert early and it was not even 9p. The food was excellent but that won’t compensate the poor customer service. If I wasn’t there with my old friends that I haven’t seen for a long time, I would have walked out this place or made a big scene with this rude server.
We had short rib, lamb, warm farro salad, braised radishes and fried Brussels sprouts. All were fantastic. Amazing wines by the glass to. It was the closest thing to eating in Tuscany I have experienced in North America.
