TW2 Bar and Grill Restaurant
We’ve brought together a team of equally friendly & passionate individuals who are dedicated to delivering the best food and drink in the neighbourhood. We specialise in steak (grass-reared beef aged with Himalayan salt) as part of a wider menu including Sunday roasts.
We’re continuing to grow our ideas and source high quality British produce through local suppliers and offer new menu items every couple of weeks. We cure our own bacon, bake our own bread and biscotti and more. Our bar staff are always creating new flavour combinations for our range of hand-crafted cocktails.
Five years later and TW2 stands out from the chains, giving locals and visitors to Twickenham our vision of a genuine steakhouse and bar with personality.
Overall, a lovely experience. Welcoming and efficient service. We had roast lamb and roast beef lunch menu, with sticky toffee pudding for desert. The food was good, well cooked and seasoned.
Took.over 20 mins to get 1st drink only 1 behind bar food arrived quickly steak was nice but expensive 2nd drink was very slow too we had both picked our desert from menu on website after waiting 10 mins we were told blow torch had broken and we couldn't have it we got bill.and left won't be returning again
We go to TW" every couple of months and it is a fantastic place. The service and food is always top quality and the staff are without exception extremely friendly and professional. This time was the first time I had the roast and if anything it could have done with more veg. It only came with 3 roast pots, carrots, parsnip and Yorkshire pud. Other tables seemed to have extra veg but not sure if you had to pay extra for that. For £15, I would expect more on the plate. That said, the food that was on the plate was first class
Great visit to TW2; love the food and the place!
Thank you so much, delighted to see your comments and hope to see you again soon!
Superb value for money from the special offer menu. Would definitely visit again if in the area
Thank you for your review and hope to see you again
After reading reviews on the TW2 bar and grill and booking so far in advance was looking forward to our visit immensely, we visited after the England v Scotland international and were disappointed to find they only did what they called a rugby day menu, a limited choice of starters, mains and desserts, the price of drinks seemed excessive as well with wine being the main culprit, although not too busy at the time we were sitting they still managed to get one steak out of two wrong and it had to be sent back twice, when the steak arrived correctly cooked the third time the waiter pointed out the we should have asked for it to be cooked this way at the start, it was promptly pointed out to him that it was. Having visited steakhouses in various cities around the country on our travels can honestly say that this one is no better than average and certainly does not rate the rave reviews it was getting at our time of booking, we would not recommend to anyone and we would not visit again
Great food and cocktails, so lucky to have this lovely restaurant so close to home!
Reliable tasty food that is freshly cooked. Pleasant unobtrusive service.
Yummy Sunday lunch
Great Venue for Pre Rugby Lunch, Menu very limited on Rugby day but what was on there was very nice, albiet quite expensive in comparison to the Normal Menu. Great Venue with nice atmosphere.
Well what a start to the day amazing staff Sandy was fantastic and the atmosphere and quality of food was immense and enjoyable the best steak yet
A thoroughly enjoyable birthday celebration. Excellent choice of menu. We all enjoyed our meal. Very friendly service by charming people. Delightful - we will certainly dine there again soon. Many thanks.
We went for the steak on the specials menu
Was cooked amazingly. We was defeated. But given left over meat to bring home.
Our waitress was brilliant didn't catch her name. She made us feel welcome.
The Bailey's cocktail was superb. Best cocktail I've ever had
Food & service superb. Lighting a bit cheap
Always consistently good with an great menu and service
Excellent food and service, a special experience in a local independent. Highly recommended
Went for a valentines meal with my partner. The food was delicious and really well presented, good value for money and the prosecco and wine was lovely. Hidden gem
I had the most wonderful time at TW2, the staff were so helpful and accomodating especially considering I am coeliac, i was so happy and felt so safe when eating! The food was stunning especially the scallops yum!! Really enjoyed my visit and will definitely be visiting again soon.
Amazing special meal deal offer but steaks were not as good as they could have been. Rest of menu good. Partic starters
Fantastic restaurant. TW2 bar is always on the top of our to go to list. Amazing food and even better service.
Very enjoyable meal . Some music would have been nice
Excellent steaks and great service!
One of my favourite restaurants, food is fabulous, staff always accommodating and great choice of cocktails and wine.
Went for a family birthday dinner and was not disappointed. Wonderful food (the best filet steak we’ve had in a long time) in great ambience with friendly staff.
Never had a bad meal here and the staff are great:-)
Had a lovely time , good food and friendly helpful staff
A great local restaurant. Good food and lovely service. The festive menu is super value for delicious options.
Excellent as usual. Although they had a party of 50 to cater for, they still seated us & served our food hot & on schedule. Feel very lucky to have this restaurant on my doorstep.
Very good service and attention. We had the Festive Menu (three courses) and at £25 pp was excellent value.
We are regulars at TW2 and rate this restaurant very highly.
Probably one of the best experiences in a while, good table, brilliant service and the food was amazing highly recommended
Chips were not good. Steak ordered medium rare but it was cooked too long. Not worth the cost.
A very pleasant enjoyable meal to cebrate birthday
Great cocktails and Steak. Only let down my chips ( not crispy ) & bearnaise sauce ( but it was homemade ).
Been before and the food was great as the last time and the service was brilliant, sad we don’t live close to restaurant or would go more often.
We visited on Saturday after watching the rugby at Twickenham. We wanted a nice date night and TW2 did not disappoint. We started with cocktails at the bar and then moved into the restaurant for our meal. The bread we shared to keep us going before our steak was fresh and delicious and the rib steak to share was sublime. The service from the staff was attentive and friendly. A beautiful independent; we would not hestitate to recommend to friends or revisit ourselves.
Apart from a few bones in my haddock starter food was excellent as was the service. Great find
Excellent place to take the family...very enjoyable, great wine and food. Staff very attentive without being intrusive. Thank you!
Regular diner at TW2.
Always delighted with service and attention.
Good choice of food and drink at reasonable prices.
I’ve been here on several occasions over the last 5 or so years and generally had pretty good service. However, last Sunday evening was awful. From arrival to departure, service was poor. I waited at the bar for several minutes to be acknowledged and never got served while waiting for the rest of my party. Things only went downhill from there. At the table, the owner chose not to listen that no one would be having fish (allergies) when explaining the specials; the waitress replied to a simple enquiry when delivering our food with “I only have two hands”, then proceeded to forget the additional drink ordered by my partner. The latter’s general attitude and demeanour gave off a cold and sour vibe the whole evening, hence no tip being left. We weren’t sure whether it was just a bad day, or whether it was time to find another career... Either way, although it was only once, their menu doesn’t vary much and it isn’t exactly cheap either, meaning we’ll think again before returning.
We pre-booked on the same day as one of the England international rugby matches at Twickenham. The restaurant is on a direct route between the stadium and the train station. The bar area was full and the noise impacted on the restaurant area. The staff were very helpful and we were seated and looked after very well. The food was great but remember to order veg as all parts of the meal are paid for separately!
