About TW2 Bar and Grill Restaurant
Building on our experience of restaurants and hotels, we had a dream to create a unique independent place to eat and drink, and opened on Twickenham Green in 2012.
We’ve brought together a team of equally friendly & passionate individuals who are dedicated to delivering the best food and drink in the neighbourhood. We specialise in steak (grass-reared beef aged with Himalayan salt) as part of a wider menu including Sunday roasts.
We’re continuing to grow our ideas and source high quality British produce through local suppliers and offer new menu items every couple of weeks. We cure our own bacon, bake our own bread and biscotti and more. Our bar staff are always creating new flavour combinations for our range of hand-crafted cocktails.
Five years later and TW2 stands out from the chains, giving locals and visitors to Twickenham our vision of a genuine steakhouse and bar with personality.

TW2 Bar and Grill Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Once again a really lovely meal. Our New Years Day lunch. The fab roast was available but this time I went for squid to start followed by sirloin steak and triple cooked chips and not forgetting the peppercorn sauce. TW2 never fails to deliver great food and friendly bar and grill.
TW2 provided a great 3 course menu on New Years Eve. The food provided was top quality & also the waiting on service was exceptional. Thank you for treating us like true guests, within your establishment. Also, I would like to say that the cocktails are truly amazing!
This is the 2nd time we have come to TW2 for New Years Eve & we would definitely do it again. I recommend TW2 to anybody interested in a good steak :)
My partner and I had come and eaten here a few weeks ago and had a great night. Then my son was turning 18 and wanted to go out and eat with us all, after a weekend out. It was easy to book and I had to change numbers. The service was great with lovely friendly staff, who didn't rush you. Food arrived in good time and was fab, all three courses. Cocktails were amazing too and barman was very helpful.
Had a great evening here with 5 friends. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, and knowledgeable about the food and drink. I'm unable to eat carbs but they had no problem at all with substituting carbs for veg. I ordered slow cooked lamb and it was gorgeous. My friends ordered the ribs, steak, and burgers between them and all looked amazing!
Lovely little restaurant opposite Twickenham green. Service was very good, prices are not too expensive and the food very nice, had the Sunday roast which started a little too pink but was very quickly and pleasantly altered to our liking. Good sized portions but not to much it left you to full, sweet menu was good, everyone enjoyed their choice.
Our 12th wedding anniversary - went as our favourite steak restaurant (especially on Thursdays with the special deals), although this was a Sunday afternoon at 3pm! Had the most brilliant meal, absolutely divine - everything was excellent and really really enjoyed it. I am still following Slimming World but that was no problem - had the steak tartare as a starter (gave hubby my 4 bits of crostini) and he had some kind of pate also off the specials, then we resorted to type and I had the most delicious fillet steak I have ever had - SO tender, and hubby had a rather large cote de boef. I also had baked potato with no butter or sour cream and salad with no dressing - but it was perfect - just what I wanted - and washed down with a rather delicious bottle of Malbec Reserve. Would definitely recommend - the steaks were cooked to perfection - and some rather nice looking roast dinners went by too, with huge Yorkshire puddings!!
We chose the TW2 Bar and Grill based on the positive reviews it had received on line - and we were not disappointed! From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and courteous, offering us the choice of a drink at the bar or going straight to our table. We chose the latter, having starved ourselves all day! The restaurant was strangely quiet, particularly for a Bank Holiday weekend, so we were given a choice of tables to sit at. There is also the option of outside dining, although the road outside can be quite busy at times.
We were given plenty of time to make our choices from the menu; we were informed of the chef's specials, and the staff were happy to answer any questions we had. The gap between starter and main course was just right - enough time to digest the first course, without our hunger pangs kicking in again! Both courses were absolutely delicious, and both the wine (for my partner) and the beer were spot on. Following the main course, we asked if it was possible to continue our dining experience outside; again the staff were only too happy to oblige with our request.
All in all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The staff make you feel at ease, they create a warm, relaxed atmosphere for every diner, and the food of course is exquisite! This was our first 'child-free' night out in months, and we could not have picked a better restaurant in which to spend it. Highly recommended for all occasions!
Some of the best steak I've had in a long time- flavoursome and perfectly cooked accompanied by quality salads and veg. All concluded that it was the best food out we've had in a long time!
Only downside was that the main dining area is in the back and poorly lit, which made for a bit of a depressing atmosphere when it was a sunny day outside! Would be fine in the evening but needs brightening up for lunch service. Not sure why the large light bright open area at the front overlooking the Green (by the bar) is not better used during the day and at lunchtimes? It was entirely empty - which made the place look quiet and unpopular too for any passers-by! A shame when the food is so good.
