About Two to Four
Nestled amongst the antique shops in the artsy end of Dorking, Surrey, Two to Four is an exciting space that is on every local gourmands speed dial. Named after its street address, 2-4 West Street, this bright and modern restaurant – which is run by local restaurateur Paul Montalto - is spread out over three floors in a charming old whitewashed building, and the intimate ambience is ideal for romantic tables à deux and intimate dinner parties. Chef Proprietor Rob Gathercole has created a robust modern Euro menu, and signature dishes include the slow-roasted pork belly with confit onions; coconut risotto; and the roasted scallops with cauliflower and raisin puree.

Two to Four Ratings and Reviews
Two to Four, Is in my mind an absolutely amazing restaurant. The food is to die for. The chef has a fantastic technique of mixing some amazing flavours and the way the food is laid out on the plate is like a piece of artwork. Some people will say it is pricey but they do have some excellent offers so that a really good meal doesn't actually have to cost a fortune. The staff are attentive and friendly, but never try to hurry you up which is great as I am a slow eater.
Hope to be in a position to visit more often.
This was my 3rd time at Two to Four and I simply love this place - the food is delicious and the staff is great. We definitely had a great time. I "only" gave 4 stars for the food because I have been to 2 Michelin Star Restaurants. But in terms of value for money this is outstanding.
Really pleasantly surprised with this restaurant, we live ten minutes away and I wanted somewhere a bit special to take my husband for birthday without having to trek into London for a knockout meal. I heard it was in the Michelan food guide last year so I thought it must be good.
Perfect sized portions and very interesting flavours.
I have to say the breads and different flavoured butters were to die for, I over indulged there and have to admit my poor liver suffered the next day!
Exceeded our expectations. Beautiful food in a lovely setting. Staff were great and we were able to enjoy a relaxed evening in a very popular local restaurant.
Value for money? I would say great value for money as we absolutely loved the food. looking forward to many more visits.
We had a fantastic meal here. Starting with local gins, mussels from the specials menu and then for me a tasting of duck. Everything was excellent, with a great blend of flavours and mix of textures which were able to delight. This all supported by excellent service from the waiter who was very knowledgeable about the menu, ingredients and what was on offer. We will be back soon.
On a cold wet Tuesday evening we were delighted to find the warm welcoming Two to Four restaurant cosy. Excellent service throughout the evening. We had the fixed price 2 courses for £19 menu which was very interesting and both my wife and I would delighted with the quality of the food. The wine by the glass was fine although relatively few options were offered here. The full wine list is very extensive. Cannot think of anything negative to say about this restaurant. Strongly recommended!
This unassuming restaurant sited in the main street of this delightful town had high recommendations and did not disappoint on what was a special family occasion. The decor was pleasant, the tables just not too close and a classical French Maitre d' with efficiency, humour and charm.
The menu was varied and wine started at £19 a bottle.
We went for just one course and the off the bone steak (shown before choosing), was generous and cooked as requested. It was tasty, tender and flavoursome. All the vegetables were cooked and presented well.
We would certainly recommend and return for special occasions as is above average for pricing......you get what you pays for!!!!
We booked an evening meal to celebrate my father's birthday. Really looked after us well. Our ages ranged from 10 to 74, and all of us enjoyed the food and the dining experience that Gill and her team provides.
The service was friendly, attentive and well paced, the food was excellent.
As a personal touch they brought out some complimentary petit fours on a rich with "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate fondant, it's this attention to detail that elevate Two to Four above other restaurants.
I took my girlfriend to Two to Four for Valentine's Day and we had a fantastic evening. Staff were very polite and welcoming. The food was quality and atmosphere extremely fitting for romantic evening.
I would recommend it to anyone wanting to treat their lady.
