William Jack Degel honors his Godfather, the proprietor of Jack's, a 1930's prohibition-style Victorian speak-easy. At Uncle Jack's, where the motto is "Customer is King,” his legend lives on.
Uncle Jack's in Bayside is our steakhouse of choice. Whenever there is an important occasion to mark, we make a reservation at Uncle Jack's. The food is always perfectly prepared and the service is top notch. It is pricey, but it's worth it. The waitstaff is always on point and our waiter Sergio was friendly and very informative. Another great night at Uncle Jack's.
Absurdly overpriced .
My husband and I were looking for a place to have a nice birthday dinner. I am so happy we chose this place. The food and service was amazing! We had the porterhouse for two, shrimp scampi, and garlic mashed potatoes. The staff was awesome. We were greeted as soon as we came in and was asked if it was a special occasion. My husband responded by saying it was his birthday. At the end of our dinner, we received a nice chocolate lava cake with a lite candle on the house! Delicious!! Thank you Uncle Jack’s Steakhouse- Bayside!
Food was good and staff very nice. Bartender great. Be aware though, check your bill, they tried charging me 3% to use my credit card. The fee for a credit card is the cost of doing business and no where on the menu or anywhere else did it mention the charge. Ofcourse I had the charge removed as i would have never paid it but it was never mentioned to me.
I would recommend Uncle Jack’s for a burger/steak sandwich and a few drinks. Wait staff/service was very good but we just didn’t think the steaks were on par with the prices. Good people there, it wasn’t for a lack of trying.
Uncle Jack's never disappoints. Dino was so nice & accommodating. He made the dining experience that much better.
Excellence food and service!
Best steak in my life! Friendly staff and even got a free dessert.
Amazing all the away around. Ambiance, USDA Prime Aged beef, service.
We love Uncle Jacks, the food & service is always excellent.
We always recommend it to friends.
The lobster avocado salad was delicious, steaks were cooked perfectly. Service was outstanding. Love that they paid attention to the Open Table reservation that stated it was a birthday dinner, they brought out a birthday dessert with a candle without us asking.
The service is by far the best service in all of the 5 boroughs! Food is excellent but I come back because of Bill Brennan! He’s the best at making you feel at home and knows the steak hose in and out! Ask for him when you go there!
Porterhouse steak for 2 is amazing!!! So worth the price!
Food & Service was amazing, our waiter Tracey was great
Oysters were old, food was nothing of the extraordinary and over priced.
Very friendly staff. Large portion.
Steak and thick cut bacon are good. Martini needs improvement
To many interruptions from the waiter. I felt rushed.
Excellent service and food
But was shocked when I saw a service charge for using a credit card
Should have been told before using it
My son’s 45th bday. We were a party of 8.
We were given the basement.
We’re not happy about that. Down there was enough space for two tables of 8 and a second table for 6. That’s all. All 6 were Asians. Our party had two white males and the rest were Asian. We are regular customers and reserved well in advance but got the basement for the first time. It’s tiny compared to the ground floor. We were next to the bathrooms and the kitchen. In the meantime I paid almost $500. I don’t think I’ll be going back any time soon. We had always been happy visiting this place but not on July 12th this past week. The waiter was very professional though.
Sergio provided excellent and professional service. The steak was on the chewy side which was a bit unnerving.
Three of us met to discuss business and Uncle Jack's was quiet enough for us to hear each other and loud enough so that no one else could hear us. Great food - great wine - great service. The Maitre d' was very personable!
Outstanding service and food. Wait staff was on point despite being very busy. Valet parking went smooth. Definitely will be coming back and will recommend to others.
Food was excellent as always. Service was also excellent. We celebrated a birthday. Would definitely recommend dining here. It’s a wonderful steakhouse!
Amazing dinner awesome father's day dinner
Absolutely great first experience at Uncle Jack's. They made our visit very welcoming. The staff was pleasant and easy to talk too. Food was loved by all that were in our reservations. Definitely will be going back whenever in that area again!!
Spiro is was our server is incredible! He’s helpful, attentive and creative! He makes the experience for the customers enjoyable! Ask for spiro next time your in there!
Restaurant is positioned as a higher-end establishment and is priced accordingly. But unlike other restaurants of it’s kind, it charges a 3% surcharge when you pay with a credit card. It’s not the surcharge - it’s the principle. When you pay $90 for a single steak (which was very good) you don’t expect an additional nuisance fee. Del Frisco’s, Peter Luger, etc. don’t operate that way. And the atmosphere is better. The food and service were good. I won’t be returning.
Service/Food Quality always consistent
Food, as always, was excellent. Waiter, Spiro was very good. The only problem we had was one of our guests wanted a beer and they only had one on tap (an ale) and limited selection of bottles. However, I was happy that they had some excellent wines for half price on Tuesdays. We were celebrating my girlfriends birthday and Spiro and staff brought an excellent dessert with a candle and song to the table.
Overpriced for a queeens mediocre steakhouse. Honestly and my lobster was so dry it was like eating
My sneaker. Im sorry.
Excellent service and delicious as always. My only issue was there there was a credit card surcharge. 20% tip, 8.875% NYC sales tax. and a cc surcharge adds up. :)
I am so happy that I went there food was amazing vibes was good I will go back there soon I hope
Never fails to offer up a delicious meal. The best steaks, period. Service is very friendly and professional.
Made Mothers Day reservations specifically for the pre-fix menu that day. Had a 230 reservation was there at 215. We were seated in the basement which was a little claustrophobic and right next to the men’s room so got to hear everyone entering and leaving. Then we were handed the regular menu. I spoke to the waiter about it and was told that menu ended at 230. I told him no where on the website did it state that. They wouldn’t budge or accommodate us. I would have left but every restaurant was packed. The food was just ok, my sons hamburger was like a hockey puck. Ill stick to the one in the city. Never again to this one.
I asked the hostess if I could sit at a bigger table after being put in the basement seating area. Even though there was open tables available and the tables seated finishing up she said the table was reserved already (don’t know why that particular table would have been reserved.) By the time I left there was not a single person down there, and no one had been seated there the entire time.
Don’t lie when 1) you don’t have to and 2) don’t lie when it’s blaintly obvious.
Excellent and Tracy the waiter is the best !!!
As always, food excellent, service excellent. Would have rated this as outstanding except for one thing. A credit card service fee was added to the bill for 14.00. The bill said Credit card 440 and cash was 426. First I have ever seen this anywhere. It appears that the establishment is passing on the credit card fee that they have payed in the past to their customers. After discussing with the waiter, he removed it from the bill about $13.00, but mentioned that some establishments in the neighborhood are also passing the credit card processing fee (approx 3%) to the customers. Just thought that people should be aware. If there is a law that allows establishments to pass credit card fee to customers, this is the first time i ever saw an attempt to enforce it. I still highly recommend this place as they did remove the charge and the food and service was excellent.
Server sucked. Pompous and tried to upsell at ALL times. They pass on the credit card fees to the customer. They won’t tell you as much, and when you it mention because you see it on your bill, the response is “it’s right there on the menu”. Gee, thanks.
Had an excellent meal wait staff is very friendly I would highly recommend this restaurant
