rigatoni pasta, pancetta, green onions, touch of chilies and a splash of vodka in rose sauce
We enjoyed our outside dining, the food was delicious and our waiter was quite helpful in explaining the dishes and giving his recommendations.
Great Food and Excellent Service (By our Server, Becky).
Authentic Italian with special sauces that bring out those unique flavors.
Both, the Tilapia Fillets and the Veal Scaloppine are excellent and eventually
we will work our way through the menu.
Yes, we will be back !
Last minute booking to celebrate a birthday. The greeting at the door was great, hostess knew how to validate parking. The reservation was for 6 people. The seating was adequate but not comfortable to move around if had to. A couple of our guests came late and it took 20 minutes for them to get a drink order in. The food was excellent can't complain however the service needs improvement.
We did ordered Chocolate Gelato and it wasn't real Gelato, more like Chapman ice-cream. Also our other desserts, Tiramisu and Chocolate cake were delivered before the ice-cream.
The floor smelled like it was mopped by dirty water. I understand it rained, but please instruct your staff to use some pine-sol.
The washrooms were in the back and blocked by boxes and chairs which required some maneuvering to get to.
I will love this place to flourish as the food made a lasting impression. Unfortunately the service, venue did as well negatively.
Went for Summerlicious. Melon soup was very good. The salad was served without dressing even though a balsamic vinaigrette was indicated on the menu. We were brought a bottle of vinegar and one of oil and we added it to our salad. Our main course was a rigatoni vodka which was very good, and a pizza which was also good. Dessert was raspberry sorbet and blueberry cheesecake which was yummy although the presentation left something to be desired. It looked like they had trouble getting the cheesecake out of the pan. All-in-all, I would return for another occasion.
The service was poor, food ok. I got a pizza and one quarter was soggy. The salad was good.
The servers were super nice but needed some work. Maybe it was just because of summerlicious but I didn't feel like they cared that we were even there, it was like we were an afterthought. The food was decent but my meal was cold and my partners was mediocre. Overall wouldnt go back😕
The best experience we have ever had at a summerlicious restaurant and we have participating in the programme for over 8 years.
The food was very good as they were a participant in Summerlicious. The service was extremely poor as the restaurant was not crowded at the time we went.
Not a good experience for first time. 12 o'clock reservation and waited till 1pm for food and waitress Gemma said, "we just finished serving another large table, now we will have yours ready soon". So since we are a bit smaller group of 7, we are a no priority group. The appetizer Bruchetta was good, but the main course pizza soprano and pastas were too salty. A vegetarian coworker requested no pepperoni on pizza, he was told that it can't be done. She said, "Take it out yourself or do whatever you want after you get the pizza". Oh and 18% gratuity was conveniently added to the bill already. Service and food like this doesn't deserve 18% gratuity.
Nice patio in a quiet part of the city, but so close to Union! Thursday $6 martinis were awesome!
Three of us went for Summerlicious 2019. Good value for event. The starters were very good The rainbow trout was a bit over cooked but the pasta dishes was done well. The rigatoni with sausages was creamy and pasta al denté, and the spaghetti was good. The desserts were a bit disappointing: the panna cotta and tiramu was disappointing- not enough coffee flavour but the chocolate truffle cake was very good and all desserts were presented with a nice whipped cream and blueberries on the side b
The meal was decent, and maybe we came at an odd time, but the staff were running up and down the restaurant while they prepped for dinner.
I read good reviews about Vagabondo so my friends and I came here to try out their summerlicious menu, except to be extremely disappointed the entire time. The food was okay but the service was really poor. I'm not sure if it is always like this or just so happens this one day we went they were understaffed? We came on a Sunday evening and the place was not even that busy. We sat down for 45+ minutes before our order was even taken and the entire time we only had our water refilled once (although we had asked 2 different servers a handful of times). No one even bothered to take away our appetizer plates or bread plates until after we finished our entrees. Our table was filled with plates of all sizes...we had 8 small plates and 4 huge entree plates! Our server even had the guts to say to us that we did not tip enough. I don't think I will be coming back here again nor do I recommend it.
Delicious food, great selection, large portions (we all brought half of our meal home) and warm, friendly service. Will go again!
I would not dine here again. We had horribnle service, and one of the hostesses was extremely rude. The food was not great. Horrible experience, would definitely not recommend !
Awesome food awesome place my wife and I loved it definitely going back.
Good portions calamari was a great appetizer
Best Italian in the city.
Good restaurant in what will be a great location when/if they ever stop construction in the area. Food was good quality although a bit bland. They are accommodating with changing or adapting recipe (eg. penne used instead of linguine) House wine was good and entirely drinkable (had a red). Would recommend and go back.
Food wasn’t too bad but a little disappointed with the amount of fruit flies buzzing around as you eat.
The restaurant was empty which was surprising but understandable due to the construction outside the building. The service was slow even with no one there. With an unstable table to a spill that wasn’t cleaned until well into the meal. The food was tasty though which made the afternoon better.
It was amazing and the service was impeccable!
Caprese Salad with Burrata and in-house made Tiramisu were the perfect start and end to a delicious meal... lasagna was excellent and the seafood pasta had plenty of seafood with lots of variety
It was so yummy and all the recommendations were really spot on!!
Awesome service. Great food. Couldn't ask for more.
The service was excellent. Very attentive and caring staff.
My sons said that it was the best dish that they had ever eaten (having ordered the same one elsewhere many times prior). My food was very good as well.
Perfect place to enjoy amazing food and great service. Risotto de mare and pasta el salmons were just outstanding!
First time at restaurant. Friendly and efficient service. Delicious martinis to kick the evening off. Bruschetta and home made meatballs as appetizers. Both were delicious. Lasagna, pizza blanca and spaghetti carbonara for mains. Pizza was wonerfully thin and tasty. My picky eater son devoured the lasagna. The carbonara was good but not great, couldn't quite put my finger on why but it was different to previous carbonara at other restaurants. Woukd happily go back as menu was varied and had many dishes we wanted to try
It was great! Fresh and delicious food! Great service!
Food was ordinary. Overpriced for whats offered. Good portion but taste is blend on some items.
Food was excellent and hot. Serve on the end was a bit slow. Great downtown dining spot.
Pasta was very tasty...calamari was rubbery.
Was seated in bar area which was quite noisy
They were out of pretty much ever wine I selected. Had to go for a $160 bottle as all that was available was low end.
The food was delicious and the price was very fair. Excellent place to go before going to a show at the Sony Centre.
Good wholesome Italian pasta dishes and reasonably priced wine, a good pre theatre dinner
Whoever was in the kitchen was really hammering on the order bell whenever they had something ready to go out to a table. It was very distracting and really took away from the rest of the night.
