Horrific service - waited an hour and a half for food and still didn’t get all of it. Will never be returning.
Food is incredible however they weren’t prepared for the volume of people dining before the concert at the Etihad. The staff looked stressed and we had to wait 1hour 30 for our mains.
From the moment we were escorted to our table we were treated very curtiously. What ever you required you were given. The food was the best we have ever had. It was melt in your mouth gorgeous and nothing was left on our plates which is very unusual. We have a favourite curry restaurant which we thought was outstanding. The vermilion put it to shame. A fantastic night with top class service. Couldn't thank them enough.
It was amazing, delicious food and friendly staff. Would love to go back
Service was excellent, staff were very polite and helpful.
I really thought no one can surprise me... but I was wrong. Amazing place, good service, nice food. Unbelievable atmosphere! Gorgeous design. I want to come back again and again. That’s my place! Thank you
Très voire trop bruyant ! Plus cantine que resto sympa
Great night out.
Excellent service with great food and atmosphere. Love it and would go again!
This restaurant has an excellent ambience which has clearly taken much thought and effort. There was a live sitar player which also added to this. Unfortunately it is badly let down by terrible service. Our meal was spoiled due to poor coordination. The waiters had no idea what was going on, mains coming before starters and drinks arriving at the end. They also kept bringing wrong orders to several tables. The food was nice overall and reasonably priced for this calibre of restaurant. Unfortunately the service is such a letdown that I, personally, will not be returning
We had to wait over 30 mins for our mains and then rush them to get to somewhere.
This was just a family meal but wanted to try somewhere new.
I had a friend over from India - He gave the food 10 out of 10 said best biryani he has had in this country. The service was second to none. The ambience was relaxing. Highly recommend.
Lovely meal excellent service just wish it was a little brighter inside
Fantastic meal before watching Robbie at the Etihad...Thank you
Had the pre concert dinner. Absolutely gorgeous . All the dishes were excellent. Great value for money. All the staff were helpful and very friendly.
Amazing service friendly waiters and waitresses..very welcoming
I loved it❤️Everything was perfect, and the staff was lovely
Amazing place and the service and food was fantastic. The best indian in manchester by far!
First time at the restaurant absolutely loved it, staff are so attentive, great service and really good food, definitely come again
The food & service was great plus the decorations is amazing also the waiters are very friendly and very active. The waiter is always they for your needs.
Brilliant surroundings, very polite and friendly staff.
Food was so salty, waited 40 mins for the starter when the restaurant was empty. Overall a huge disappointment.
Booked on opentable on route to the restaurant and had a confirmed booking but when we got there we were told they were fully booked! What is the point of having opentable if it's not linked up to the restaurants live system!
Great food....great decor....friendly staff although a bit too keen at times....fairly quiet for a Friday night which wasn't a problem for my boyfriend and myself....don't really rate the cocktails we had.....saying that we will definitely be going again.
Vermillion was recommended to me by a friend and I was pleased with my experience highly recommend excellent food and good service!!!
I use to love this resturant. Food now is so crap.
fantastic ambience and customer service. lovely decor. great for a special occasion. disappointing vegetarian option though which really was a shame. will still return.
From the telephone reservation to walking out of Vermilion was first class. I strongly recommend this if you are having a special occasion, the attention to detail with reservations and service is friendly and professional, well done on this to the management. I have worked with high end events all around the world and I can tell there is a lot of thought gone into guest relations here.
The restaurant decor and atmosphere, feels like your in another world. I love the ambience, it feels very tranquil. We ordered the Indian food, as we have been recommended by many people for its authenticity and... it did fail. The food is gorgeous, I have lived in India and this is the closest in authentic Northern Indian food you will get in Manchester. I love the style of the menu thats broken into grills, curries, street food, seafood and it's Thai section too, a lot of choice yet not too intimidating.
I also strongly recommend you reserve a Cocoon in the bar, a bed situated in their cocktail lounge, very classy and very James Bond-esque. The music was also great, talented mixing and fun eclectic music.
Overall my favourite place in Manchester, especially for special occasions. I will be recommending to all my friends in London with pride. I am already thinking of going for lunch soon, I can't wait to have those Ocean Tiger Prawns!
I visited Vermilion for the first time on Saturday with friends to celebrate my Birthday. I'm so proud Manchester has a place like this, cannot believe I never knew about this place.
The service from our booking with the reception till we walked out the door, was exceptional, reminded me of my honeymoon in Bali, the service is very personalised, loved it. The atmosphere and design of the venue is amazing, like an Eastern maze. At some point you could have forgotten your in Manchester, very cool ideas here, the attention to detail is fantastic. Like a James Bond film.
However the main reason I have already booked my table here again is because of the food. It's amazing, I am a foodie and eat out all time whether in Manchester and London and this place beats all the Asian restaurant I have been too (especially the Manchester ones). The food is authentic Indian and fresh, something missing from Manchester, I have been to India and other parts of South Asia many times and I can tell the chefs are definitely from India. They also have Thai food too.
When you come here, don't forget to go to the second floor bar. It's out of this world, there are cocoons with beds, and a tower with Buddha Heads. The place was very busy and yet the bartenders still had time to be very welcoming, nice touch.
How anyone could not take something away from the place is beyond me. If you are tired of the same old and looking for an 'experience' then this is the place.
I can't wait to go back and see the face of my Wife, when she steps in.
The Ocean Tiger Prawn was amazing. One of the best prawn dishes I've ever had. Great service and Value for Money. Also it's real Indian food (not Pakistani) it was very authentic. I've been to India many times and in Manchester these guys have got it right. Even the Naan bread ia something to go back for. The decor is also out of this world. Heard they're opening a Wedding Hall this year. Good luck and keep up the good work.
A very atmospheric Restaurant that comes highly recommended, with plenty of choice for most people. The service is impeccable and very welcoming.
Excellent food & service. Great Staff , Very Friendly ,Flexible service and willing to go the extras mile. Food was excellent in presentation, heat and very close to being a homely taste. The Main meals were full of flavour and faultless. The wife and I enjoyed every minute and was a great way to remember our special occasion.
food is part indian and part thai.... staff croud round you like they want you out....
its basically a converted warehouse, you wouldnt know if it was a resteraunt or not by the outside..
if your looking for a local late night drink with an indian this is probbaly the place....
Arrived early for reservation- they were more than happy to accommodate. Staff very polite and helpful.
Food arrived promptly. Tasted nice.
Expensive. But expected.
Nice surroundings. Lovely bar. Would def go again for special date/events.
Great food and lovely staff. Really enjoyed whole experience .
food was very nice been most of the top restraunts in Manchester and just felt it was a tad overpriced 2 main meals 4 drinks 1 nan bread and 1 rice 65 quid is a little pricey when u consider its only a curry and not a piece of fillet steak.Taste was very nice but due to the price I wouldn't be rushing back as I can get food on the same par but at a better price in a couple of places around Manchester.
I took my other half here for his birthday and didn't quite know what to expect, it's a beautiful looking restraunt and the food is outstanding. The staff are very helpful and willing to go that extra mile for you, they are very polite.
We booked here after a friend recommended it to us. After booking we discovered unfavourable reviews. Don't believe them. The place is amazing, the food excellent and the staff cannot do enough for you.
We went a few weeks ago on a Saturday night. We enjoyed it so much we wanted to return. We booked another table for Easter Sunday. What we didn't realise until we had sat down and ordered drinks was that it was buffet night. Not what we were expecting. There was no signs with regards to this on the table and we had to ask how much it would be. It was assumed I think that we should have known it was buffet night. Some of it had gone cold and a lot of the salad was gone. I would return and recommend the restaurant but don't go on a Sunday night expecting a nice sit down meal
