Vivat Bacchus London Bridge
Really nice food in a casual atmosphere with fantastic wines. Will be back
Great pace to go. Make sure you like South African wine!
Had an amazing meal here, a mix of biltong starters and wagyu beef carpaccio then a shared steak for mains. There's an excellent wine list, every bite and slurp was excellent! The waiters did a great job, especially with the COVID restrictions. We felt well looked after and they had good personality. It was a little disappointing (but totally understandable) that the cheese room was closed. We'll go back to experience that for sure!
staff very dedicated, food amazing. Had the grilled chicken with the greek salad and the burger - everything was sublime. Thank you.
We had a lovely dinner for a friends get-together. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable, with the staff being friendly and knowledgeble. Even though the cheese room was unavailable due to COVID-19 regulations, we managed to sample some a delicious cheese platter that the staff recommended. Everything was lovely and incredibly affordable with all the discounts applied. We definitely recommend visiting Vivat Bacchus and we plan on returning soon! Thank you for a great experience.
Excellent biltong, beef and wines. Friendly efficient service.
very nice food and good range of wines to choose from, waiter seemed friendly
Very pleasant staff
Food was nice
Will definitely go there again!
Food and service was excellent, Covid measures taken very seriously and will definitely be going back!
Very nice food. Was served with a free glass of wine on arrival as well
Food and wine was good. Due to COVID-19 the restaurant was practically empty. Service was great though!
Visit this restaturant regularly - great food, service and surroundings.
I have been to Vivat Bacchus at London Bridge quite a few times and really enjoy this restaurant. Nice ambiance, really lovely food particular if you like some good meat and also a great service. They have also got a really nice wine and cheese selection so can only recommend this restaurant.
Our favourite restaurant when we’re near London Bridge. A good welcome and atmosphere, the food is excellent and great value. Also the South African wines are wonderful.
Food was really good and service was great. Didn't experience the cheese room as we were running late for a meeting but would look to come back
Great service friendly staff, beautiful food and wine
I love Vivat Bacchus. Just the right blend of lively (but not “you cannot hear yourself” noisy) and friendly (but not over-attentive). We had the cheese platter and a couple of glasses of wine. Great relaxed venue, close to the train station. Recommend.
The cheese room at Vivat Bacchus is excellent. Great fun tasting and choosing for the cheese board.
Great venue for large groups. Food was lovely as once the ambience and service. This has been our third time to the venue and it has not disappointed.
Food was nice. Not exceptional, but nice. Wine was good, but the waiter kept pouring the bottle lifting the bottom to the ceiling. Two glasses full of dregs for me. I complained to him the second time and he wasn’t fussed.
Bathrooms are a total state. Filthy.
Loved our meal at Vivat Bacchus. Great service as always and a super meal at reasonable prices. We’ll definitely return.
Very enjoyable evening at Vivat Bacchus! The service was outstanding and they managed to accommodate our group’s dietary needs really easily. Thank you so much.
Very nice meal. Went for a group christmas dinner and there was plenty of choice and the atmosphere was liveley
On a Monday evening Vivat was pleasantly busy and was a good venue for a birthday celebration meal. Decent menu underpinned by an extensive wine list with a good price range. The cheese cave was fantastic with a tasting guide to help you through a world of cheese.
Very nice place, excellent food, good wine. Perfect ambient with live jazz music playing.
Great venue - have visited many times - consistently good.
Very convenient to London Bridge Station. Great for informal lunches and dinners
Nice place for dinner - the sharing platter we had (cured meats, cheese, nuts and biscuits) was lovely and would recommend. The rib eye was ok, nothing spectacular and was possibly expecting a bit more based on how good the starters were but it wasn't too expensive at £20 each steak. Easy to get to from the station, oh and the house red was fantastic.
Very good food with a South African bent, nice service and a good wine list.
Immer wieder gerne.
Had dinner with a friend at Vivat Bacchus in London Bridge. The reception and service was excellent. The food was really good - especially the camembert starter. Best of all was the wine - there were a good selection on offer, and the 2 wines we had were excellent. The restaurant itself is nicely arranged and welcoming. I'd certainly return and recommend.
Lovely dinner with my Dad. Casual but delicious food.
It is quite loud which was difficult with my Dad who is hard of hearing but otherwise a lovely ambience.
Poor service. Ok food
Vivat Bacchus was welcoming and the service was great and the food delicious
Great food and fabulous service. We had a lovely night out, thank you!
All really good, they even discovered it was my bday and brought dessert wines and my dessert on the house!
Lovely food, a little pricey and little noisy too. But overall quite nice
Great food, great service and a cheese experience to die for!
Love this place, went here for my friend’s early birthday meal. I am a regular here as I love the cheese room. Quality of food and wine amazing. The cheese room experience with Luca was faultless. Usually the service is on point however I felt this time it was very slow, it took ages to get menus and drinks order, I had to flag some one down to order and then during the course of the meal it felt like were forgotten, had to top own wine up. I was sad that they had changed their famous sticky toffee pudding too. It now has no treacle. Next time please be more attentive but it hasn’t stopped me from coming back.
This is our go to when we go to The Bridge Theatre. Very convenient after arriving at London Bridge station. The food is always interesting and very good. The wine list, particularly the South African is excellent. The service is friendly and efficient. And very good value for money especially for London.
