Tulalip is a small, beachside community in Snohomish County, Washington. This resort area features locally owned and operated restaurants offering fresh seafood, including salmon and tuna. The area is also known for its proximity to the Tulalip Reservation, which encompasses 22,000 acres along the I-5 corridor. There are many small diners located along this corridor that feature locally grown produce and traditional Native American foods of the Tulalip tribe, including cornbread, fry bread, venison jerky and succotash. Outside of the reservation, there are a number of family-owned restaurants serving traditional American fare and comfort foods such as foot-long hot dogs topped with chili and cheese, chicken pot pie, bison burgers with bacon and cheese and slices of cherry or apple pie made with local ingredients.
