Amazing! Sad loss to our community. We'll expecially miss the steamed pork buns, dragon roll and cocktails
As always, very enjoyable experience. The staff make this place what it is. Sad to see it close down.
Great restaurant, service and food. The ambience of the restaurant is great, the booths add that touch of class to a fantastic evening.
The food was delicious and the service of a high standard. It is quite expensive, but worth it. A particular big thank you to Ken for looking after us so well that evening. I would definitely recommend WABI :-)
Really nice authentic food with friendly staff but can sometimes feel a little intrusive at times. I thought it was very resonable for the food we ate. However a little annoying how they automatically asume you will pay the service charge.
Nice staff and a good ambience , "Sticks and Sushi" is a favourite
Great restaurant, lovely atmosphere and excellent customer service. The food was of a very high quality and would definitely recommend and go back. Definitely a gem!
Birthday lunch for three of us. Very good Japanese food and service. Nice cocktails. Bento boxes good value.
Only minor criticism: towards the end of our meal one of the staff lit an indian incense stick which was unpleasant and unnecessary.
The food and drinks were great but the restaurant was very understaffed on Thursday which did spoil it a little as they were very long gaps before our orders were taken each time.
Fantastic Japanese meal and dinning experience, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the food and the dishes were well worth the visit, highly recommended.
Had a brilliant time, as always. Food was excellent. Will continue to take friends and family to Wabi as we always have a lovely time!
Pre-theatre menu was exceptional value - a huge amount of excellent food for £15. We were late arriving and therefore in a hurry and the staff were fantastic in getting us through our meal quickly. Can’t wait to come back and try the full menu!
Very tasty food - and very unique. Taster menus are varied and very subtantial! Wabi Lager was great too.
I wasn’t looking forward to going to a Japanese restaurant - I would always choose Indian or a decent pub first.
I booked Wabi for a family dinner as my daughter really likes sushi and this was a treat for her. I was very wrong with my preconceptions - Wabi was fantastic, the food fantastic and I can’t wait to go back!
We had a number of dishes on the menu and shared them between the three of us.
All of us were very pleased with the booking and food, I would highly recommend.
A real treat for dinner on a Friday night. Perfect setting for a date. Cocktails in the bar below before going upstairs for dinner where the food and service was absolutely incredible. Not cheap but a real experience to remember.
It was nice to enjoy a pre-dinner drink and a mix of starters to share in the bar before going upstairs to the main restaurant.
All the dishes we chose were delicious - we would especially recommend the sizzling Wagu beef. The service was impeccable and the ambience provided a perfect relaxing evening for two.
Service was very attentive. Food was generally ok except sea bass was hard and over cooked.
Heard good things about Wabi, but our visit was not a success. An elderly couple at a neighbouring table were sick at the table, which didn't give the best ambience. Ordering the Wabi taster menu at £55 per head, we were given the same course twice Presumably as one item was not available but this came with no explanation. Had we ordered the recommended six plates for the two of us that was also recommended,we'd have had a far better value meal. We were charged for tap water that we asked for, and a few pence short of £150 for two with only 3 drinks between us I feel thoroughly ripped off. The food was tasty but for this money I'd have expected a gat deal mew. With Tristan and The Pass / Camellia offering such great value locally, we won't be returning. If we fancy Japanese cookingin Horsham, we'll make do with good old down to earth Wagamamas.
Service from Magda was brilliant! Food is interesting, fun and vibrant.
Great service and lovely food well worth the drive and money
Amazing food! Fab quality. Great service. Brilliant night
Lovely venue. The team here have really thought about the design and everything from the decor to the cocktail menu to the food works perfectly together. Service on the night was a little slow however we had mixed between tasting menu and a la carte. It's clear they're trying hard for Michelin levels. Food at times was sensational!
Great meal, nice atmosphere. Staff very helpful. Drinks service was a little slow.
Fantastic table service, delicious drinks including sake & plum wine (my new favourite). Really tasty food in smallish portions so you get a few from different parts of the menu and share with the table.
We got one from each page except sushi and we were stuffed. Would definitely go again but will need to bring about £50-100 to eat really well (for 3 people).
Had high expectations based on previous experiences here however unfortunately found the food and service disappointing on this occasion.
We booked a table for New Year's Eve and had an amazing evening. They allowed us to add an extra person to the table at short notice. Most of us had the special NYE taster menu, but they allowed us to swap some courses due to dislikes and dietary needs. Service was friendly and courses brought out in good time. Food was stunning. They needed our table for a later booking, but we never felt rushed and were able to have dessert at a cocktail lounge table which was perfect as we could then stay in the lounge for drinks and dancing. Highly recommended!
Really nice ambience, a nicely designed restaurant and bar area. Service was great. Food was nice but not that authentic.
Very disappointed with my recent visit. Having visited this restaurant several times over the years (since it’s opening pre and post fire) and not been more recently I met a friend for a special occasion and I am sad to say I was very disappointed with the food and more so the service. The quality of certain dishes is not as it was unless this was an off night pre Christmas. I had to wait until my first course before my first drink (g+t) finally arrived and it arrived with our first dish!! From then on we struggled to get further drinks in fact my 2 1/2 hr visit got me 2 drinks. At the end I was asked twice whether we were ready for the bill which is quite grating considering it took so long to get drinks/service for the duration of our meal. In my book this is just a cardinal sin unless you can see your diners are in a hurry to leave. I’m not sure anyone even asked if our food was ok during the meal. Given the price tag and poor service I will be reluctant to go again but I will give it go again sometime and hope that things have improved because historically this has been a unique and delicious dining experience.
Would say this restaurant is more akin to girls night out, cocktails, drink and food on the side. Bar downstairs, food upstairs. I went on a Thursday when service should not be stretched, it wasn’t, it was laid back. Tried the taster menu, it was ok but in reality you’d get better flavours in Wagamama at half the price and then go to the bar and have cocktails. Would imagine it’s great for a birthday, leaving bash etc - on your own or romantic meal for two? No.
Amazing night! Food was unreal! friendly staff with a perfect attitude and service 5stars all day long!!!!!!
Fantastic food and service! Brilliant night and great atmosphere!
I took a friend who had never been before and she really enjoyed it too.
I will definitely be going back there again.
Consistently lovely service when dining upstairs. Left to chat and friendly and attentive service when required. Not to mention the food is very tasty. Ladies night menu is great value.
Lovely experience as always. Love the food here and the service is always so friendly. Can't wait to visit again.
Amazing food and outstanding service! We would go back to Horesham just to return to Wabi!
Third visit. We participated in the ladies night for my birthday. Fixed menu. Food was good, service mixed. One waiter came across as surly and rude, taking our wine glasses away when the inclusive processco was served without asking if we wanted wine. When I queried why he was removing them I got a curt response 'if you order wine I'll bring them back' he also told us we were VERY lucky as dishes are normally portions to share, whereas we got one each. No recognition of my birthday, not even a 'happy birthday' spoken. Shame really. Won't rush back!
Some people say this is expensive, but I completely disagree. The prices are more than reasonable for the quality of food offered but also the experience. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, offering suggestions but also a bit of backstory to the items on the menu. I highly recommend the flights of sake as they will take you on a journey that is something to behold.
tl;dr Reasonably priced restaurant that accentuates the overall experience and adds a flair of theatrics in to the mix. Highly recommended for a special occasion with a special someone.
Lovely food and great service . We had cocktails and sashimi - what's not to like?
Love love wabi. Food is awesome and atmosphere is brilliant!
Great food. Amazing service. Planning our second trip soon
Great food, service is good but can be slightly too relaxed although it is lovely not to feel rushed. Waiters could come and check on things a bit more regularly especially when it's not that busy.
