WHISKI Rooms Bar & Bistro Ratings and Reviews
I didn't know what to expect from Whiski, it wasn't somewhere I'd been before and wasn't my first choice. I'd struggled to find a table elsewhere in the city centre and so just booked it. I'll absolutely be back! It has a lovely welcoming and relaxed feel and the tables are all well situated. The staff were friendly and attentive but not over bearing. The food we had was remarked upon by all of us, very fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. The drinks list was extensive. The only solitary issue I had was the price of the wine- over £9 for a large glass.
This restaurant has become a huge part of our annual visit to Edinburgh. The menu is authentic and offers great choice. We are fans of whisky, so taking on the recommended drama to accompany our meals is a must! Awesome views lit up by the fairy lights make this a great atmosphere too. We love the Whiski Rooms!
It was fantastic! Took my dad on his birthday on the 4th of November, warm welcome and quickly seated to a table I booked, Lucas was our waiter and he was friendly, the food was amazing, so good that it has made me love lamb again and a delicious cream brulee. My dad enjoyed his whiskey flight 1 tasting and of course I helped drink it. can't wait to go back.
A little gem in the centre of Edinburgh. We were looking for good quality Scottish food and were and the only disappointment was no Scallops for a starter. This was probably a blessing in disguise as the cullen skink, served with homemade bread, was absolutely fantastic. I followed this with venison whilst my wife had Haggis, neeps and tatties. Can you get any more local? Both were superb. My wife managed a white chocolate and raspberry creme brulee, whilst I could only manage a single malt. Our waiter, Lukas, was able to match my description of a whisky and recommended a Laphroaig Quarter Cask which was perfect for my taste. If you want a taste of real Scotland with great service that isn't going to break the bank I would make sure you book so you are not disappointed. If I return to Edinburgh I will definitely visit The Whiski Room again.
The Manager and Waiting staff were fantastic, Myself and my wife were in Edinburgh for a one night stay and the Whiski Rooms was recommended by our son, so we decided to have an evening meal on our first night.
Lamb shoulder was good, atmosphere was great, will go back.
Whiski Rooms was recommended by a friend and I'm glad I've managed to get a table. We really enjoyed our meal in this comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Food was delicious and cocktail fabulous. The service was absolutely amazing. I'd definitely come back when visiting Edinburgh again.
Went to whiski rooms with my boyfriend and we both had a great time. Andrea, our server, was really lovely and attentive. Only thing is a lack of veggie options (I'm veggie my bf is not), I know it doesn't claim to be veggie friendly but maybe one more option would have been nice. Overall it was tasty and had a good atmosphere.
Asked for a quiet table and were shown to a lovely table at the back despite the restaurant being full and buzzing. Food was amazing, something for everyone, and we weren't rushed in any way. Was lovely to hear the bar tenders sharing their knowledge of all the whiskeys to the visitors/customers.
