We were there to try out the food and service for a Dress Rehearsal Dinner. They were awesome. Marshina and Cameron are awesome. Great suggestions for food and incredible service.
It took us forever to get our appetizers! Waiter and Mgr. apologized for the “back up in the kitchen.” We had to ask for bread because we were into our second cocktail and needed food, which they brought. We finally got our appetizers (which they did comp) and then our meals. Scallops and Red Fish were delicious, which 3 of us ordered, but the hash brown potatoes were cold and hard. They brought us more but not until we were almost done with scallops. Disappointed with the experience because we had to wait so long although food was very good when we eventually ate.
The staff seemed overwhelmed. Food was basically a small plated portion of average food. Very loud. Basically it’s a bar in a busy downtown.
Our server recommended certain items as her favorite on the menu and she was spot on correct! Very good service with a smile.
We had a wonderful experience...from the drinks to the food to the server to the atmosphere. We will definitely be back.
Loved everything about it! Great food, drinks & staff!
White Oak is one of the better options in uptown Atlanta. The food is pretty good, our server was knowledgeable and the food came out in a timely manner. There are not a lot of decent restaurants uptown but this is one of them.
Overall good. Crab cake and GA salad was amazing.
There was a hair in the sweet potato mash that was under the short ribs. I did not send back, but should have.
Bottle of Jordan Chardonnay was not available.
I’ve enjoyed many meals at WOK
I think the fish the time was a 3
Most of the food and cocktails are amazing! We ordered a few sides that were very bad. I told the runner once we were done that the mushrooms were supposed to be roasted but they were soggy with no seasoning. She said she was aware of the issue and had told the chef a few times. This was a normal complaint. Our server was super helpful so not sure why he didn’t stop us from ordering. Also, if an item has numerous complaints then why isn’t the chef trying to fix?
Overall, the food is great! The crab cakes are outstanding and the scallops are incredible. I would highly recommend but just stay clear of the mushrooms
The food was absolutely amazing! The best I have ever had.
The food was outstanding and the service very attentive. The only thing that would have made it perfect was if the noise level could be abated. When the restaurant was totally full (the first half of our visit) it was pretty difficult to hear each other talk across the table. Otherwise, it was a very enjoyable evening. We will be back!
Awesome food. I think they have a new chef. Will definitely go back.
Food was great, staff was knowledgeable and upbeat
The hostesses was the best, she was so professional and polite. Also I loved when she continued to address me by name and remembered my allergy to shellfish and shared that info to the appropriate personnel. Our server was good and so was the food.
Always make reservations during market weeks. I have been here a couple of times. Food and drink are always on point. Slightly pricey for what it is, but hey, its downtown Atlanta and I really wouldn't expect anything different
Good food and good atmosphere
Deviled eggs were awful, you could tell the boiled egg was not fresh and possibly out of a bag or frozen. We both had salads and the beet salad had no flavor, and the the chop salad tasted off. Service was ok, the entrees were brought before our appetizer was taken so that lead to us rearranging our plates to accommodate the salad plate. They did take the deviled egg appetizer off the bill after we were told the chef said “ the eggs were made fresh today” mmmm nope. I wouldn’t go back unfortunately, was looking forward to it since it had great reviews, employees were very nice.
Always a great time. I love that I go there and see vested servers who have been with them for quite some time. It speaks volumes about the culture. The teamwork among the staff makes the night flow well. The food is always quality. You pay for it and the presentation, but the taste and ambience are both worth it.
Our waiter Richard is the reason for my high rating. Service was exceptional. The DJ was a nice touch and played all the right music. Will be returning.
Great experience! The service was excellent
First visit but not my last, I am due to be in Atlanta again in April, will be one of my first things to do
Very much enjoyed our visit. A little rushed for cocktail orders upon arrival but otherwise the service was excellent. They have several specialty cocktails to review in the menu. All the food items ordered were very good although one in our party felt some of the items were too salty but still tasty. Overall we had a great dinner and would come back in the future.
The hostess had an attitude from the minute we walked in. We had a reservation because it said must have reservation on their website and we waited longer to be seated than walk ins who came in after us. We had to remind the hostess that we were there several times and each time she lied and said they were clearing our table. When we were finally seated we were put at a table in the bar...that had been empty for 20 minutes. Our waiter while friendly was ill maintained and provided no insights to the menu or seemed to have any time for us. The shrimp beignets were good, but the shrimp entree was terrible. My husband thought the spare ribs were ok. Nothing about our experience was worth the $85 we spent except the bartender who was the only person during our entire time there who gave us any attention.
Very busy night due to Peach Bowl crowd. We were seated at our reservation time. Took much longer than expected to see a server but the GM, Richard, noticed and things changed immediately. Thanks to Richard, it was an absolutely great experience. Swordfish was excellent. Wine recommendation was spot on. Overall a great experience.
Good food in a casual chic environment. We would definitely return
Service was unorganized. Apps were brought out staggered and waiter had no idea what was supposed to be on each them (cheese and charcuterie board). Charcuterie board had one meat only. Entrees were decent but not great. Wait staff was not very attentive. Would not return.
Waiter was not polite. Food was pretty good. Loved the decor and ambiance.
Shank was so tender.
The food was great, our waitress Christy was amazing. She gave us great recommendations which made our experience even better. The ambiance is great for all types of dining experiences. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Steaks were a bit overcooked; otherwise everything else was good.
Took a long time but food was good
Great space, great food & drink. A little skimpy on the shrimp entree (but it’s called shrimp... I get it).
Had a great time . Staff was friendly and the food was great
Great food. Service timely without being intrusive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to those who enjoy fine dining at its best.
This was my second time at WOKC, and I definitely enjoyed it the second time around! Our waiter Sean was excellent! 5 stars all around
Excellent service! Our waiter was awesome, super friendly and knowledgeable.
Food was slow to come out of the kitchen- probably waited 20 minutes after appetizer plates were cleared
The pork shank and crab cake were both fantastic. Cameron has great drink recommendations at the bar. Will definitely be back.
Absolutely fabulous food and service
