Wolfgang's Steakhouse Grill by Wolfgang Zwiener
Wolfgang’s Somerville is the best restaurant in the State of NJ. The service, the food - all excellent.
Food and service was good. There was a fly at my table that remained there throughout the meal. when we complained, the waiter said what should I do about it. I thought he would at least try to take care of it. This was my first dining experience paying that kind of money, that I had to eat while waving away flies. That was a major turn off.
Excellent experience great service.... We loved the live band...
Very popular place for a Saturday night. Had some live music in the bar area, not something I wanted. The food is expensive and good but not excellent which is what you would expect for the price. 4 people $400 (4 glasses wine and including service). My steak was undercooked for a medium (was raw in the middle). Mushrooms came cooked with onions which was not stated on the menu and if I had known I would not have chosen. Service was very good. wine was a good selection. Portions very large.
My first time here, everything was perfect, the atmosphere, friendly staff, and of course the delicious food
We had a fabulous Anniversary dinner. Our sever was wonderful & the food was to die for. We even got a surprise visit from Wolfgang himself. Overall it was such a great time. Can’t wait to go back!!!!
Our orders were:
Porterhouse steak for 2. - Cooked to perfection but a bit salty
Veal Chop - Cooked to perfection but very salty
Black Bass - Cooked perfectly but very salty
I think whoever finished off the dishes added way too much salt. We did not complain as I'm thinking this is a one time issue BUT when we go back If it happens again, I will send the food back.
Overall I rate this a 4 and 5 for service as our server and server assistants were outstanding
Outstanding Porterhouse for two! Great service!
The restaurant was very nicely decorated and the food was prepared well. I did not like where I was seated. I had to move the table in order to have room to sit. I am not a large person.
Heading to the same restaurant in Manhattan like this one better more spacious interior set up less cramped in New York City service was very good food was excellent can’t wait to go back
Great for an anniversary
Great service and the porterhouse for 2 was cooked to perfection.
I was in a cast with scooter- they were very accommodating. Service was outstanding. Food is amazing but a bit pricey. Very good wine list.
I ordered the Petite Filet mignon with moderate expectations, but it was so delicious! The flavor was excellent and it was juicy. I don't eat red meat very often and usually prefer rib eye, however this steak was the best filet mignon I've ever eaten. I ordered the lobster mac and cheese as a side, but was a bit disappointed, but overall dinner was enjoyable. I'm confident that we will be back.
Loved every bit of Walfgang. The service was excellent, food was great and ambiance outstanding. The patrons we spoke to have been coming back for years and rave about it.
Lovely birthday celebration
Excellent service. Excellent food! Pricey. But that’s ok. It’s worth it.
The food and service is amazing! A perfect place to have a special occasion.
We expected “steak house prices” and got ‘em. Rib-eye was very good, but not the best I’ve ever had. Sides were very good: German potatoes, spinach, creamed spinach. Did I mention “ pricey”?
Wonderful service. Wonderful food.
Beautiful unhurried atmosphere and an excellent steak. A minor pick point, the wine list was not up to date. the vintage year listed differed from the bottle presented for our red zinfandel. The substitute year was still excellent.
We have been fans of Wolfgangs in Somerville since it opened - however we just had our 2nd less than glowing experience.
The last time we were there the service was awful - this time our porterhouse was just not a fabulous as in past visits -
We wonder if it’s on the decline. Very disappointing -
My first time here will probably be my only time here. Servers were very friendly, but at least 3 were working my table, so it made it confusing to know who was coming with food or drinks or whatever else. The portion of wine for the one glass I ordered seemed small in my opinion. My main disappointment was that the steaks and sides were quite salty, even for my salt-loving standards.
It was so perfect my friend went the next day and love it too we will be back with more friends
FABULOUS! Absolutely incredible meal, great service... We will be back!
A grease fire caused the restaurant to shut down and had to pay for drinks & appetizers that were barely touched.
Always solid. Great food, well prepared and strong service.
Wait staff OUTSTANDING
Our steak wasn't as good as the last 5 visits and we were rushed out
So a $600.00 dinner for 4 was not worth it
Food was good but open atmosphere was a little warm for summer and 90°F. Service and drinks were good. Fruit flies were abound and ruined my wife’s drinks and part of her dinner. Not sure if much could be done about that but it did detract none the less. For the price, I think it could be better.
Loud and food took awhile...lack of kids offerings- yes kids like to eat out to. When we ordered buttered noodles for my son I was charged a ridiculous amount. Not necessary nor customer oriented.
Another excellent meal. Everything from the appetizers (Burrata, bacon slab) to the mains (signature porterhouse, lamb chops), sides (home fries, spinach, mushrooms) and dessert (key lime pie) were superb. Excellent service in a lively atmosphere.
My fiancé and I enjoy trying different steakhouses in & out of NJ. Service was fine, our rating is based off the food we ate. The bread was cold (they should think about serving it at least warm in our opinions), lobster bisque was very salty, bacon app was good, steaks were average quality (not worth their pricing- been to multiple other steakhouses that blow this steak out the water and priced better), and “creamed” spinach tasted like spinach went through a blender and landed on our table. Said no to dessert.
Outside seating was very nice.
Service was poor. We have been to several of Wolfgang’s locations and have always enjoyed excellent service and attention. Very disappointed in our experience at this location.
Met a friend for drinks and dinner.
Started with the seafood tower which was perfect for two people. It consisted 1.25 lb lobster cut in half, 4 large shrimp and a nice amount of lump crab meat.
For dinner we split the porter house for 2 cooked medium along with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. The steak was cooked perfect and very flavorful and the potatoes mashed were smooth and creamy and the asparagus was crisp and fresh. We did feel a little rushed in the beginning and took our time ordering after the seafood tower which seemed to annoy our server but based on the price of the food we did not feel bad taking our time ordering in between courses.
Excellent food and service. We have never been disappointed.
I always enjoy my experience at Wolfgangs. Food is outstanding and I'm always treated like a celebrity even though I'm there intermittently. Met with a former colleague for dinner on Wednesday. Shared dozen oysters and shrimp cocktail, porterhouse for two with a side of sautéed spinach. Bourbon manhattans and Bombay gin martinis were equally superb. As always kudos to my favorite wait staff, Adonis and Melot.
AMAZING. The food, service and atmosphere were fantastic.
Steaks are very good. Can't go wrong.
