Second visit - Delhi Thali delicious! Separate vegan or vegatarian menus.
I like this restaurant as I don't eat meat and there is an interesting selection of vegetarian dishes It also has a separate gluten free menu . The food has good flavours and there is a good choice of wine. Staff are friendly but at busy times it can be difficult to get someone's attention . However food usually arrives promptly. On my last visit we were told that they had run out of poppodums which i thought was rather unacceptable at 7pm!! All in all though a pleasant experience and a bit different from your average Indian restaurant.
Portions are small, cost high, food taste was poor.
Super good and tasty food, the staff was really friendly.
The service and peaceful ambience was brilliant. A lovely experience!
Our 2nd visit to this place. Ambience is fine given the price range.
Service was outstanding, and the staff make sure you are comfortable throughout the meal. The Place is clean.
Food is very good. We stuck with a few dishes to start: chaat. chilli paneer and vada. The mains were masala dosa, mysore masala dosa and crispy paper masala dosa. All were excellent.
Finished off with gulab jamun, rasmalai and kulfi.
We kept the drinks simple with nimbu pani. Very refreshing!
It was a lunchtime on Saturday, so not too busy and we were able to hold a conversation easily.
Overall , it is good vfm
Very average food, good location and understaffed restaurant
Really slow service. Quantity is not worth the price. They are not very open in catering special dietary requirements.
Absolutely delicious, as usual. We were really hungry and our choices did not disappoint. The starters were tasty street food dishes with puffed rice, tamarind and potato. We shared a delicious spinach dosa and a creamy paneer curry with lemon rice. All excellent.
Exceptional food and friendly, helpful service. Lovely place to eat and highly recommended.
We had a wonderful meal and the staff were so kind and friendly. The dosas are extraordinary!
Always good tasty food at Woodlands Dosas especially
Very, very good food, reasonably priced. The staff are charming. I'd recommend to anyone, vegetarian or not, who wants to eat well - it's worth knowing that the ladies' loo is up some very steep stairs with narrow treads though. Everything else is perfect!
Great tasty vegan food at reasonable prices in Central London. Excellent service and a quiet ambience.
The food was really nice and the waitresses were very helpful in describing and recommending the fiid
Wonderful South Indian food on Marylebone Lane. Highly recommended. However, like most restaurants, they add an optional 12.5% to the menu for "service". I like to decide on the tip level, not the restaurant.
The food and service was good. However, I thought the portions were small and therefore the meal was not value for money.
Good service and food. Great Dosas
Fabulous food! Good portions, well cooked, fresh ingredients, good menu choices and a fine wine and drinks list. Nice ambience and excellent service made for a fine evening out for an excellent Indian vegetarian meal.
Great place as always - can only recommend!!
Always a pleasure visiting Woodlands. Delicious dosas, pleasant ambience and good service!
Very tasty restaurant. Everything we had was lovely but could be improved if the masala dosa was crispier.
Always very pleasant. Food is from a limited menu but is nicely prepared and tasty.
A lovely reunion with some longtime friends - we had a nice corner table with plenty of room and enjoyed the delicious food. The menu has slightly changed since I was there last and is perhaps a little smaller and somewhat less clear as to what works as a starter - however the waiter was very helpful with any explanations and willing to reduce spiciness if necessary when he could - and everything was very tasty. I loved the aubergine with cashew nut dish and the dosas.
The food was excellent! Delicious and very well cooked. Would definitely go there again and recommend very highly.
The food was excellent, with a modern twist, smaller portions compared to non vegetarian indian restaraunts. The food was spicy in good sense and tasteful. The staff were very helpful and pleasnt. Overall very good experience, good value for money and would visit again.
not much varierty of food, quantity is very less , very good ambience and service..
Amazing service, great selection of food, all tasted fantastic. Will definitely be going back
Our food came quickly and accurately. It was beautifully presented with an exquisite taste. The drinks were tasty and the range of desserts was a neat surprise as they certainly weren't the usual fare for Indian restaurants.
We would have liked to have had beer on tap (from habit, really) but this is not available at the restaurant: instead the large bottles of Cobra or Kingfisher were served chilled and were absolutely fine.
We couldn't have asked for a better experience and the price was perfectly reasonable for the amount and quality of food we consumed.
We were made to feel very welcome and as it was our first visit and the menu was quite unique the food as chosen for us. Everything was tasty and beautifully presented. There were 2 meat eaters in the group who did not complain about lack of meat as the food was so good. We look forward to the next visit
The food was amazing and such good value
Really nice selection of vegetarian dishes. Although I didn't eat any breads myself the naans and parathas that I saw coming out from the kitchen looked wonderful and very tempting.
At the outset, let me be fair and say that the food tasted authentic. The service was reasonably good although one of the head waiters is extremely loud and hectors the guest. The real issue is the extremely small size of the portions - drinks, food and sides. If you want to have your fill, you need to order almost 3 portions and what initially looks like a reasonably priced menu turned out to be a really expensive proposition in the end.
Wonderful food as always, friendly staff and quick service.
As usual the food was really tasty and interesting. We had three small plates - the chilli garlic paneer was particularly good and three dosa which were thin and crispy with delicious fillings, paneer, spinach and potato. It's a great place to pop in for supper.
Superb food. Delhi Thali was a delight. Service friendly and helpful.
Friendly, helpful staff in a very pleasingly laid-back atmosphere that doesn't take too much account of its trendy surroundings in Marylebone. Nice décor, though. The food is good, fresh vegetarian Indian - not that easy to get in London, despite there being quite a lot of restaurants that serve it. We'd go again.
Food was far too spicy to the point it was inedible. I am Indian and could not see English people eating the tandoori veg (it hard no chilli on it on the menu to indicate it would be spicy and its a dish from my region of India).
The wait staff refused to aknowledge this, until I they saw the discomfort it put my friend in, who ended up having a severe stomach ache. It ruined the rest of the meal and also gave myself an upset stomach. I would not recommend this resturant. There's much better ones around.
Great dosa! Loved the food. The masala chai was great too. The chilli garlic paneer starter was especially good.
The dessert (mousse cake) was a little underwhelming and over priced for the size (£6 and quite small, the cake was a bit dry and the mousse was dense instead of light and airy). Overall experience was good.
