Food was delicious and the lychee martinis are excellent
This was our second visit. The first time was great but second was extremely disappointing. The service was unfriendly and detached. We had to ask for soya sauce and tap water multiple times and tap water wasn’t given until we had finished our meal. The food came out in a random order and was not great quality. The salmon in the sashimi was going grey and the lamb cutlets were tiny. Actually wouldn’t visit again.
The food was incredible, and the cocktails. Will 100% be going back. Best Japanese food I’ve eaten in forever!
Delicious food, fresh and tasty in a stylish setting. Fancy cocktails and fun!
Good and experience was amazing! The happy hour cocktails were great at £6 and so delicious. Will definitely be going back. Staff were so welcoming and helpful
Amazing Sushi next level. Lovely cocktails that are quite original
This was our first time dining at Yama Momo and we loved it. The food was great, the service was good and the atmosphere was really buzzy. Also loved the decor and amazing cocktails. We will definitely be back.
Fantastic food and great service. Definitely returning again.
Try and go every few months as this place is so good, and the latest trip was the best. Great vibe, fantastic cocktails and the sushi is as good as I’ve had in London. Service can be a little slow depending on who you get, but always very friendly.
Such a great restaurant! Delicious cocktails and amazing sushi- I’d highly recommend the lobster volcano rolls! We always have a lovely meal when we go.
Al a carte menu wasn't available on the day, we had to pay a deposit for the set menu which would have been fine had the food matched the cost and reputation. Dishes were of varying quality, aubergine maki and scallops were the clear winners. The lobster miso soup was rather uninspired, consisting of a few lumps of overcooked, rubbery lobster meat. The disappointment of the night was our mains, seabass and wasabi chicken, both bland and flavourless. The fish was overcooked and dry, chicken was no better, coated in a wasabi green sludge that just didn't work.
Staff were friendly and attentive. Very poor value for money, horrendously overpriced for the quality, expected far more considering the reputation and other reviews.
Meal was excellent, service was very good, but the lighting was too dark! couldn't see what we were eating and I know it was Valentines but the tables were so close! not sure about serving fortune cookie with coffee in a Japanese restaurant(!). Bit strange too drinking English tea from a small oriental tea cup, with milk from a sake bottle. might have underestimated the importance of the last course in finishing off a good meal. otherwise mains were very good.
Great fresh sushi and sashimi with wonderful coctails in quiet relaxed atmosphere. What else do you need for a great evening!
The welcome was not great obviously was a Saturday night so it was very busy however we ended wait for 20 minutes even if we had made a booking and we did not receive a formal apology. Food and drinks were great our waiter was nice (nothing special) again it was busy so I guess not much time to give everyone much attention. It was my partner birthday and I specifically asked for a candle to be put on dessert and that didn’t happen I felt very left down by the staff because it meant they don’t give enough attention to their costumer request (I work in hospitality myself) there is no excuse for something that was asked a week before to not happen. Once I got the bill I said that to the waiter which apology to me and my partner and asked if I wanted to speak with the manager which I did not want to because mine was more a feedback then a complain, they recover a bit because they brought another little dessert with a candle for my boyfriend and all the staff sang happy birthday which was appreciated however it should have happened when I asked for.
So yeah I would go back for the food and drinks but no for a celebration and on a Saturday night.
Great food and cocktails, lovely place. Would definitely recommend, also family friendly
Great food and atmosphere. Food is really good. Cocktails are good standard with a nice twist. Starters came separately so we had to wait. One of the starters we ordered never arrived. Main also came separately so again they clearly seem to have a problem here. Sadly we were rushed out with the bill as there is a limit of 2 hours.
Generally would go there again but not on a Saturday night as clearly they can’t coupe with the crowd.
Always have a fantastic time here. It is expensive (well the way we do it, it is!!). But food is consistently great and the electric Kamakaze cocktail is divine! Highly recommend
Delicious delicious exciting flavours be good in a gorgeous cosy setting.
Food is good, good atmosphere in general but a very loud group nearby were annoying. Service is friendly and well intentioned but a bit slow and confused.
food was amazing. we had the black cod and it just melted in the mouth. only had one cocktail, but saw others being brought out and they look amazing as well.
Been going here for 5 years and never a let down. The trip from West London is worth it !
Service and food as good as ever.
Delicious! Great range of sushi and sashimi plus specials menu. Desserts also great - highly recommend the miso ice cream... Friendly and super-efficient service.
Great food. Great atmosphere. Wonderful cocktails - shame the waitress spilt mine somewhat.
Busy on a Monday night! That kind of says it all. Happy hour cocktails were great. Food was good. Spicy edamame better than I've ever had, but the volcano roll did not look appetizing (it was made to look like a volcano that had just erupted). Service a little slow.
Consistently good. Great cocktails, food & service. You can always rely on having a great night out and it’s local! So no having to negotiate trains from central London. Perfect!
Food is very good on the whole, but service is slow and distracted.
We love Yama Momo food is always great
Make sure to book as it can get busy but staff do try their best to accommodate
Always a great meal. Food, cocktails, ambience and service are 5 Star
This is the second time we’ve been to Yama Momo, and we’ll definitely be back again! The food is spectacular, with the truffle tart at being a standout dish, oh and the snowcrab dumplings! It’s all delicious. And the cocktails are amazing too. Overall a wonderful evening out that I can’t wait to repeat!!
Fabulous cocktails and tasty sharing food.
Great food, very attentive service and good atmosphere.
Great food, loved everything we ordered. The service was perfect and a fab atmosphere too!
Thoroughly enjoyable dinner at Yama Momo. Starters of edamame, sushi, prawns and squid were excellent, topped by the black cod and dynamite rib eye for mains. We will be back.
Staff were very polite and attentive. The food was amazing. I will definitely go back
We have never tried the lunchtime all you can eat offer as we usually go in the evening. The set menu was lacking in most of our usual favourites so we had to try some new dishes and they were all great. The squid tempura was the biggest hit as well the shrimp tempura maki. The service was excellent and the half price cocktails made it a very pleasant experience. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant for dinner and lunch as we always have a great meal.
Great food; I recommend the lamb cutlets
Amazing as usual. Food is very good and of high quality and is on par with some of the Mayfair restaraunts we visit
Incredible food on point
