Yauatcha City opened in May 2015 in Broadgate Circle, just outside Liverpool Street Station. This is Yauatcha’s second UK location following the success of its award winning restaurant in Soho.

Yauatcha City is an all-day dim sum teahouse, where friends and family gather to catch up over a wide selection of dim sum, wok dishes, tea and cocktails. To complement the cuisine, the drinks menu comprises nearly 40 types of tea, as well as cocktails inspired by Chinese ingredients and a broad wine and Champagne list.

Yauatcha’s first standalone patisserie, Yauatcha Patisserie, is located just below the restaurant, where Chinese heritage and modern European cooking techniques have inspired the pastry team to create a range of unique macarons, petits gateaux and chocolates.

The food is fair. Not very surprising taste. The restaurant is very noisy. Server is busy and hard to call for service.

Second time visiting this place and loved it as much as the first. Good value for Saturday lunch. Good food. Very efficient, friendly service. Would highly recommend.

Perhaps it was a Friday evening, so busier than last time I visited. There were a lot of staff, but overall service was not as good. I'm comparing this against my usual experience at Hakkasan and Yauatcha.

Service and food was great. I booked this place for a birthday surprise, which the staff made very special.

The food that I had at yauatcha was nice. However, I do not eat meat. I had informed them on the booking and they had confirmed this the day of the meal. When I arrived I was informed that all the sea food had chicken powder in it and that from two pages of desserts only one did not have beef gelatine in it. I would have booked somewhere else if I had known.

Great food and service as usual! Was slightly disappointed as the after diner cocktail has been taken off the Supreme Saturday menu, even though it’s still the same price, but would still recommend!

The most amazing dimsum, and the rest of the menu is awesome too. Friendly, professional staff, who are extremely customer oriented and incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable. Desserts to die for and I can't wait to go back! Thank you!

We went for the dim sum set menu - and the dim sum were delicious, unfortunately the rest of the meal less so (the chilli squid covered in oat flakes (or whatever it was) wasn't great at all) I've eaten at other Hakkasan restauratns so perhaps had set the bar too high but quite disappointed by this experience

Although the food was amazing, the standard of service was extremely poor. Ordering and reciept of food and drinks was very slow and the waiter had to be prompted multiple times. Extremely disatisfied with the level of service given the price range of the restaurant.

Great, delicious modern Chinese, very attentive service (but please let us pour our own drinks from bottle etc!). You do pay for it though.

This is our second visit to Yauatcha City to experience the truly amazing Supreme Saturday menu. One of our party of 6 is a vegetarian and she was over the moon with all her food. Ever piece of Dim Sum is divine. The main courses are delicious. The included cocktail and wine are perfect. A winner on every level. Special thanks to our head water who was second to none. Thank you.

Great evening - had a table on the terrace overlooking Broadgate Circus - service from Luis was very good - we had the set menu which came with a glass of fizz. Every course was tasty and plentiful. All in all a good evening.

A fabulous evening sitting outside and enjoying one of the tasting menus. Lovely refined cooking, very attentive to mollusc allergy, adapting menu as needed. Friendly service. Not a cheap night out but lovely for a special occasion

Having been to this restaurant before I was all little disappointed this time. The food was good however two of the choices on the menu they didn’t have and although waiter was very good she had too many table to deal with meaning the service wasn’t so good.

The restaurant was also very warm which didn’t make you feel like eating a big meal. All in all slightly disappointed as it was a friends birthday celebration. Next time I will avoid Friday nights !

I liked the venue. Great place. Person on the main restaurant reception was unfriendly. Didn’t feel welcomed. Food was ok. No real issues there. The staff/waiters were nice and helpful. Generally it was ok but not great. Preferred the Soho branch. Definitely a better experience all round.

Booked a table for 3 and were promptly greeted seated. We opted for the open table offer and were all pleased with the set elements and each of the mains we ordered and shared. Whatever you order you will not be disappointed. We loved the prawns, cooked to perfection where other places tend to serve them in a rubber state! Not our first visit and sure not to be the last.

Celebrating my daughters Birthday! We were very well looked after, had an amazing seat outside overlooking Broadgate circle on a lovely sunny day. The food was lovely, service wonderful and overall afternoon thoroughly enjoyable. Thankyou for making this a memorable occasion, above all my daughter was very happy 😃

Waiter didn’t take down one of the items we ordered and when we questioned it, just got told “sorry”

Also have been to the Soho restaurant many times on birthdays and anniversaries and they have given us a desert plate with a message, however didn’t get anything this time.

At the food was consistent - excellent!! Though wouldn’t return back to the City one, stick with Soho!

Very good food but the service was not great. They were very busy. Had food served before our drinks and had to ask twice for our wine.

The wine was left in a bucket away from our table so we constantly had to ask for it to be topped up - which for a higher priced restaurant was disappointing!!

Overall - food and drinks were fantastic but maybe go at a quieter time when the service can do the restaurant justice!

A lovely dim sum place. Dim sums are much better than its Chinese dishes. The crispy changfen is great as always. Our all time favourite. We also found a deep fried bun with sesame with liquid custard inside very enjoyable. Good quality food, friendly and relax atmosphere. Will come again.
