Yauatcha City is an all-day dim sum teahouse, where friends and family gather to catch up over a wide selection of dim sum, wok dishes, tea and cocktails. To complement the cuisine, the drinks menu comprises nearly 40 types of tea, as well as cocktails inspired by Chinese ingredients and a broad wine and Champagne list.
Yauatcha’s first standalone patisserie, Yauatcha Patisserie, is located just below the restaurant, where Chinese heritage and modern European cooking techniques have inspired the pastry team to create a range of unique macarons, petits gateaux and chocolates.

Service was great, thank you Francesco and happy to have tried the Wagyu puffs.
My friend just loved the food
Taken their for business lunch.
The surroundings are nice, its busy at lunch time, good service with the right balance between service and not overbearing and then there is the food. It looked too good to eat - its should just be photographed! I tried to snap them before my colleague got in there to eat, but it was hard work!! I let him order as he has been many times before, so not sure which dishes I ordered, but they were all excellent. Rather than explain - see my pics!!
Good all round experience, no issues at all - good job
The food was amazing as always but our waiter wasn’t the best. We ordered way too much food and he didn’t tell us. Another waitress had to fill my water glass twice and he confused our teas. My partner had his tea when I was almost done with my dessert and my tea.
Food outstanding, service can improve.
I have been to Yautacha quite a few times. My previous visit was round this time last year, and it seems like things have deteriorated quite a bit since. The food was okay, nothing spectacular. The service was not that good either. Unfortunately my date cancelled so it was just me at the table. I felt that because it was just one person, there was no care and attention paid to me as a customer at a high end restaurant. The cocktail served was only about half the glass. The courses felt quite rushed, like the table was wanted back, even though you get a 2 hour slot supposedly. The dimsums were not introduced, just put on the table.
Overall not impressed, and won't be coming back in a hurry.
We ordered the £48pp menu and everything was very good. Perfect amount.
Food was amazing, sticky rice was forgotten and service wasn't great but when we were served the staff were lovely.
The one in soho is 100 % better this one in Liverpool Street was more chavs and undressed people (tracksuits, pjs,) food was good very noisy drink menu was limited from soho menu defo would not go back here again !!
The food was absolutely disappointing and not worth the price tag at all.
Been 3 times so far and already book for then n3xt lunch
Food is still excellent, but the past 2 times i have been, i was very disappointed in the service. I waited a long time to order and some of the waiters were rather rude.
I used to really enjoy going to yauatcha city but might now go to the one in Mayfair because of the poor quality of the service
I’ve been to this restaurant a number of times. The food, as always, was great however the evening was somewhat hijacked by a Chinese dragon dance performance to mark Chinese New Year which went on far too long. The loud drums meant that any conversation was impossible for best part of 20+ minutes. It was not made clear at reception or at the time of booking that this was going to happen. Had I known then I would have made other arrangements for my informal business meal.
We had a really bad experience with the service. We arrived 10mins early and was shown to the bar. When I was checking the wine menu, the same person drove us away from the bar, and no one served us. We stood at the corner until the time of our booking, and was told the table was late, and had to stand in the hallway for longer. The waitress was really rude and blamed me for arriving on time. When we finally finished, a waitress asked us to clean half of the table and poured sauce over a friend accidentally. She cleaned the mess, and adjusted my friend’s chair and blamed her of staying in the way. It sounds like my friend completely deserved what happened to her. Although the manager was quite nice and apologised for what happened, I wouldn’t say it was a pleasant dinner. I thought this was the best Chinese restaurant, and do hope it can train the staff properly and do better in the future.
The good and serivce were fantastic. Decent portion yet not too big so also a great option for small company, unlike many other Chinese restaurants.
However the music was so loud, tables are so small and cramped with each other. Feels like eating in a neighbourhood deli rather than a nice restaurant. Not very comfortable seating. I expect a nicer ambience for this price.
Always a very good experience - great food, great ambience. When out as a couple I prefer the 2 seat tables along the window as there’s space to talk privately. Sitting on the tables all in a row I’d be closer to the two strangers on the tables either side of me than to my partner opposite. It is one annoyance where restaurants squeeze in as many sittings as they can rather than allow space for relaxed dining.
The food is delicious, especially the dim sum.
waitor serving my table was rude and impolite, re-training is required.
Modern, still cozy atmosphere, nice people, friendly personnel. Food proper.
Never disappoints, food was amazing and our waitress Chiara was brill!
Had a lovely date night with my husband. Food was delicious, but what stood out to me was that I’d mentioned that I was pregnant when booking, and the staff were on it straight away. They all knew exactly what was fine for me to eat, and gave me huge confidence in their knowledge of their products. Brilliant!
Service was very rushed and I felt pressured to eat quickly by my waiter. Food was also very salty.
My go to for delicious food!!! Never disappointed. And if you’re stuck what to eat, just go with the signatures!!
The food was outstanding. The service was lovely but would prefer to finish each course as a table before plates are cleared away and tables wiped down. Other than this the setting is lovely. We went midweek but the place was still buzzing. The dim sum is fab!!
Always when we eat here we forget what we had the previous time. We then ask the staff to surprise us with what they think is the best and what they personally prefer. Each time is different and each time it is an amazing experience with great food in a great ambiance.
I am in London approx. six time per year but my visit is not complete when I haven’t visited this lovely place. Yauatcha for me is my favorite restaurant and an absolute must for people who like Asian food
Excellent, one of the best restaurant I have tried the last few years. The only thing was that they forgot to serve us one serving of white rice that was included in our menus. We were full anyway, so we didn't ask for it.
Good food, nice ambience, service was poor but manager rectified it at the end.
I have always eaten well at Yauatcha, and this was no exception. But the place is very noisy, and I think I would only ever go there in a party of two, and certainly not for a romantic night out. The wine list is expensive for what it is. We had a decent bottle of red Bordeaux, Ch. Barbe Blanche to be precise, but I was truly shocked by the price of the same wine by the glass, £16.60. It seemed to me that the bottle had been open too long, if it was the same wine at all, and I should have complained there and then.
Great food and service as always
Food was very good but sadly the service was a let down. We asked for tap water and they bring it out in tumblers not jugs. This would be fine if they could top us up on a regular basis, but we had to constantly ask to be topped up and then would be forgotten about.
I asked for some leftovers to be packed up for us. Upon leaving we had realised that they hadn't given us our food, which as a bit disappointing.
I have previously had a great time at this restaurant, but sadly this time the service was a let down.
Friendly, engaging service. Food was outstanding
Excellent food, served in a pleasant ambience.
Waiting staff were amazing and the experience was nothing other than fantastic. I had been before and took a friend this time who was just as pleased with everything.
We occasionally visit Yauatcha, partly because we don't want to travel to Chinatown. Food is of a high standard. It is relately expensive eg pay by pot of tea ! Desserts are absolutely delicious but few sweet Chinese choices.
One of the finest restaurants in London
We went to the restaurant for our Anniversary and had a great experience. The food was great, ambience was cosy, drinks and desserts were unique.
Unfortunately not the best experience.
Having ordered one of their tasting Menus, my client and I were disappointed that one of our courses arrived cold. Having informed the waitress we were told that the chef was going to re cook our main course which would take 10 minutes.
Unfortunately on arrival our newly made dish was just our original cold dish which had been warmed up in a microwave- it was still tepid in parts. We did inform the waitress of this and the cost of one of our meals was deducted from the bill which was appreciated.
Overall however it was not acceptable a whole course from a tasting menu was presented in that way. Especially considering the level at which the restaurant markets themselves as. Do better Yuatcha City!
Absolutely fabulous. We live Yauatcha but bringing friends here visiting London was a dream come true for them. Service was impeccable and the food was BELLISIMA! Got a mix of a la carte items. Unlike other places, the seafood was tip-top. Sake was great too. We will always be back but had to share a 5* review.
The dim sums are lovely. The experience of the main dished were mixed. the rib-eye beef was very tender and nice but the sweat sour pork was not typical Chinese (just came back from China) and much to sweat. We had to asked 2 times to get tap water and then only got a small glass and had difficulties to get any refill. overall, nice but not sure is was worth the price.
Great food and service. Didn’t really enjoy the cocktails.
Great food, welcoming staff. Drinks are Pricey. Food prices are reasonable.
