Yauatcha City (Sharing Tables)
Yauatcha City is an all-day dim sum teahouse, where friends and family gather to catch up over a wide selection of dim sum, wok dishes, tea and cocktails. To complement the cuisine, the drinks menu comprises nearly 40 types of tea, as well as cocktails inspired by Chinese ingredients and a broad wine and Champagne list.
Yauatcha’s first standalone patisserie, Yauatcha Patisserie, is located just below the restaurant, where Chinese heritage and modern European cooking techniques have inspired the pastry team to create a range of unique macarons, petits gateaux and chocolates.
Really liked this place. The atmosphere, service and food was really nice. A bit loud at times, but not too annoying.
Food was excellent!! Service could not be faulted - big thanks to Jackamo! Will be back :)
The waiter told me he couldn't find my booking when I arrived there.
Food is fine and creative but not worth that money...
I am a regular at Yautcha, and decided to introduce my friends to this place who was here on holiday.
I would always recommend this restaurant to people however I was really disappointed by the service received here that day. Once we got there, the lady guided us to the bar where we enjoyed our drinks and was told we could stay there here to finish them.
Once we were ready we were guided to our table however just seconds before we got there, someone took our table. We were told to stand on the side for over 5 minutes, which would not be an issue but it was such a tight space we felt so uncomfortable standing there whilst people were trying to get through.
We finally got escorted to our table. We felt that given that situation, it would have been a great gesture that the waiter looking after us offered something on the house for the inconvenient, however this did not happen as we were rushed to give in our orders. We then requested if it was possible to at least have our drinks given to us on the house, and instead of the waiter kindly telling us he would look into this or that he couln't give us this, he had started interrogating us with questions like do you think that is a long enough time for us to give you a free drink which was just not appreciated especially when we had spent a good amount that night and are regular paying customers. We were eventually given then drinks for free, which we appreciated the kind gesture but it felt like we were being treated like charity. We then continued to order our starters and main which was absolutely delicious. When we got to our mains, and the food was served, we asked our waiter if he could bring us 3 sets of cutlery, he returned with two. We then said, sorry we needed 3, he then replied in a rude manner, could you have not told me that before, now I have to go back? By this point, we felt so un-welcomed here and wanted to leave. I wanted to leave this honest review as we felt so dissapointed from this service.
Food was decent but would have liked the option of a warm desert. For the price would have liked more of a vow factor but it was tasty, standard Chinese food.
Everything from the staff on the door to paying the bill at the end was delightful. Thank you to everyone there for making every meal I have had there a pleasure. See you again soon
Our waiter was very rude, exasperated when asked questions about the menu, and when my friend asked for a couple of minutes, he sighed loudly and banged his pad after walking away.
As always, it was absolutely superb. Dim sum at its best.
Excellent meal. The dim sum is the best. Really interesting flavour combos. The staff are attentive. The set menus are v good value. Already planning my next visit.
I was a bit dubious about the sharing tables but for 2 people was perfect... sitting next to each worked out better. The day was lovely and the windows were open / view was great. Great atmosphere and food.
Great food, however service was just so slow and in fact some dishes didn’t arrive at all. Normally impressed but I don’t plan to return based on this last experience.
Fantastic food, I'm yet to try something here that I haven't loved
This is a 5* restaurant 99% of the time, but when a little problem comes up it truly is a 6*. A little piece of wood was found in one of my dim sum; the waitress replaced the dish, and offered my entire set menu for free; I even got an extra macaroon. This is top service, dealing with an unfortunate little problem. Well done, yauatcha!
We are regular visitors to Yauatcha. The food was very good. We will return.
We really enjoyed the special dragon dance. Food was always very nice. Friendly service.
super chinese food, never taste such good dim sum
perfect in London
Great food and service as always. Loved the set lunch menu as it made it easier to pick out some great dishes off the main menu.
One of my favourites for a good lunch. Great menu and service
Pre Show Dinner. Service once up and running flawless. Food was delicious and well seasoned. Waiters were conscious about dietary limitations. Cocktails where delicious and much better than your standard fare.
We enjoyed our meal here. The duck is fantastic and since we ordered 3 other dim sum dishes we only had the 1/4 duck which was plentiful for the two of us. Service was friendly and fast. Ambience is great.
Very friendly staff and lovely food. Not cheap but obviously I knew that before I went. Made a nice change and will go back.
Superb experience from service and food!!!
Fantastic food and a great selection. Would highly recommend.
I am a big fan of Yauatcha. The food is excellent and reminiscent of some of the dim sum restaurants that I have visited in Hong Kong. The service is fast and efficient and the staff are knowledgeable and keen to assist. I have taken some of my business guests there from the Far East and they agree that it is authentic and well executed. Happy to say I am a regular.
This place has an interesting design - the entire restaurant is shaped like a Horseshoe, overlooking Broadgate Circle. The service wasn't quite as good expected but they were very nice, and the food was great. Nice wine list, too
Always a fantastic option. I love dim sum and all my favourite dishes served to perfection. This has become my classic choice. Slightly more expensive than other dim sum restaurants but the quality is top of the class. Venison puffs, duck salad and the usual char siu buns, but at a higher standard than others, well worth the extras. Not to mention the decorations and view at the city location!
Our first visit to Yauatcha was great! We dined at the sharing tables with a friend. Quite a noisy, buzzing place on a Friday evening, but fun atmosphere. We ordered several different varieties of dim sum and all were excellent. Also tried (2) noodle dishes, which also were very good. We'll definitely return!
tasty multi-course dim sum lunch option in nice surroundings. lovely patisseries for desserts.
I have eaten at this restaurant a few times but never near the back of the restaurant at a weekend. Make sure you don't get seated near the back if you don't like the smell of cigarette smoke. The manager when I pointed this out dismissed me by saying there wasn't anything they could do, each time they open the door at the back the smoke is sucked into the restaurant. They were busy and the waiting staff and food were as good as always, but this left a taint on what would have been a very nice evening.
Food was great, service was not. The restaurant wasn't heaving so it should not really have been an effort to get someone's attention to order drinks. The guy who took our food order and guided us through the menu was very nice and friendly, however the chef who came out with the dishes was quite heavy handed, plonking down the plates and dishes, not unfriendly but not quite polished. Surprised she didn't actually crack anything given how the plates were almost thrown down onto the table!!
Food was great, but it's not cheap and I won't rush back, there are other places I would try before going back here again. I'm quite laid back but for the price I would have expected a better experience.
Very nice lunch, the food here is excellent and the menus has doe thing for everyone. Is is priced as you would expect for a city restaurant if this standard.
Great atmosphere. Great service. Great food. Reccomend
A great lunch in a very busy restaurant on this occasion but great all the same.
Food is excellent even though we had to wait a bit longer than desired for out Shanghai dumplings but this is the case with pan fried dumplings...
The food was very good as usual. The waitress recommended the dishes and it was a little too much food for the two others, and my partner is quite a bit eater. I have been to this branch twice and on both occasions there were business lunches/corporate events so I do find it a little noisy and the ambiance not as good as the Soho branch.
Service was dreadful. Wine was not good. Too much waiting time for delivery off drinks and to order then food came all at once rather than staggered a little. Always had to seek out service staff for ordering, chasing drinks.
food was great. the service was bad includs spilling sauce all over me. the price was very very very high compare to equivalent rest.
Very nice restaurant with a good vibe.
We had the set menu and we enjoyed every course. It is great to have a v tasty Chinese meal followed by a beautiful French dessert. Thoroughly recommend Yauatcha City.
We were very disappointed by this restaurant which has a good reputation. The food was okay at best, did not show great inspiration, yet it was very overpriced. Our cocktails were average and one of them really sub par, and we were not offered a replacement or even an inquiry about it.
The ambiance was "technical" and did not offer a warm or inviting mood.
After eating at the Mumbai branch, I hoped for something as good if not better at this location. That was not the case and we won't recommend this restaurant to our friends.
